As of recent, there are two new producers who have been unable to get access to posting, there have been several new videos from producers like SHL and Ultraheroix who have not had their posts approved, and spam bots run rampant in the comments. Unfortunately, it seems that site is going the way of the Dodo. It’s sad, I had high hopes for the new ownership but it’s clear they don’t have any sort of care for the community or are just completely out of their depth, likely both. Anyways, unless someone comes through with a new site for this content, it looks like this forum will be the place to go for information from producers on new releases.

I am pretty confident the site was bought by clips4se to redirect traffic back to their website.

I don’t believe management ever had any interest in making the website better

It’s been a sinking ship since it sold, arguably it was sinking before that

Has this been happening mostly just for the past week?
Because I do see steady posts by a bunch of different producers through February and half of March, as well as the regular posts by the new site mistress, "Ivy", but she's certainly directing people to worthwhile SHIP content as well, like (Pittsburgh's own) Tina Lee Comet.

So now, you're saying that contributions from Ultraheroix and SHL are being ignored? Ugh. And this is happening just as Portland is exploding with offshoot producers as well? Not a good look.

Of course it would be an incredible shame if Heroine Movies shut down, but of course we have to thank HM for sticking it out for many years (and of course MH for sticking it out much longer than that here on SHF). Even though it was in a different format than a simple forum, the content on Heroine Movies was mostly still created by producers and fans, other than the simple act of the site host approving the posts.

But hey, it also sucks that the people on Superwoman Mania (the third of the indie-superhero triumvirate of forums) are so anti-peril, so there's that. However, at least on SWM, like on SHF, I can tell how many people have looked at a post. Because it was never possible at Heroine Movies to know how many people looked at what the producers was posting. That was quite annoying.

On my end, I'm pretty sure I had plenty of people reading my production posts (I could tell due to the spike in download sales), but I had almost NO feedback whatsoever other than our incredible super-fan "Odile" from France who posted so regularly that "Bert" once accused him of being me in disguise (nope! he's just our single biggest fan who owns everything we've ever done, pretty much). I get way more feedback from DeviantArt than I ever did from Heroine Movies.

Anyway, over at Heroine Movies I personally felt that I wasn't getting much traction because almost everyone there was either into heavy peril or hardcore porn, and our PG-13 format of a mixture of power and peril and tight spandex (70s/80s TV show style, but with some updated lesbianism for the 90s) didn't go over with that crowd. A few times, they were outright insulting about it.

Nonetheless, Heroine Movies is a crucial source for people to know what's going on in SHIP (which we are a part of, no doubt) and it would indeed be sad to see it go the way of the Dodo. I hope whatever is wrong can be fixed.

If not, well, it reminds me a little of what happened in 2019 (not so long ago!) when ComicBookDB departed Dodo-style. CBDB was the best comic book information resource on the Internet - completely user-created content where you could find any issue and research any character. It was easy as pie to have the first Heroineburgh comic listed there in 2018, and I continued using it many times to check on character names for the series.

At first, it had problems being blocked in Europe because of the passing of the GDPR (whatever the hell that is). And then it was bought up by Comicvine (owned by CBS). There was an article in Bleeding Cool about how CBDB was supposed to come back with a new format, stronger than ever. But like many articles written by Rich Johnston, that information was biased and a lie. In reality, the owner walked with the money, and the site never had any intention of being relaunched, and now, pretty much everyone has to go to Comicvine for their back issue info (or Grand Comics Database, which is unnecessarily complex).

Comicvine did what it intended: it simply eliminated the competition. Perhaps Clips4Sale intended to do the same, but in less traumatic phases. I guess we'll see?

Yeah, it's been a week since the HM site's been updated and you can see the bots in the comments using the same message over and over again. I sent them an email inquiring the status of the site and I haven't gotten a response yet and it's been days. I'm looking at the comments and it seems Luciafilms is having difficulty contacting the management there too.

It's not a matter of the past week. When the website was handed off to new leadership - they never contacted or spoke to anyone who was a contributor on the website. People have been getting delayed posts for months, contact with new leadership is abysmal at best

It sounds like there have been significant communication issues with the new leadership of the website, leading to frustration among contributors and delays in posts. Improving communication and addressing contributors' concerns should be a priority for effective leadership.

I doubt this is an elaborate organization. Probably one guy somewhere.

If HM is going under maybe we’ll get more activity here? Some producers already post here but if HM falls apart this could be the forum for advertising all new SHIP films.

Heroinemovies has always been the minor leagues compared to this site, and with the “sale” to a random entity it just expedites their demise.

They’ve always deleted or moderated comments of posters who were just stating their opinion.

Posters always whining and ganging up on others who had different opinions/questions about films.

I can promise you it isnt that

A porn company bought it, hence the new link on the top of the site for 'theporndude' and the exclusive promotion of stores on clips4sale

While I like this forum - advertising here is not as powerful as listing films on HM

I have to wonder how many people actually visit here. I used to advertise but I didn't see any new numbers and was kind of a pain to post with this clunky forum software.

Rumors of HM's demise may be premature. Looks like Ultraheroix and SHL's latest posts went up along with a couple other things.

As far as how many people visit here, it's a lot easier to tell on SHF than it is on HM. And yet (as SHL pointed out) HM drives greater sales because *all it does is sell* (it doesn't have any other functions).

Exactly.
Heroine Movies made their name as a sort of "news feed" for the community.
If it goes under, the collective will probably spread like grease on Dawn...and that's kinda sad.
It was a nice hang. I'm gonna miss it.

I'm disappointed in this site as well. It seems virtually dead and when they do post it's a recycled video from 10 years ago that's been on the 'tube sites for years.

So, now that you've created the new HeroineNews site, Damien (I knew it was you just from the writing style), and now that we've signed up as user and filled out our profile (180 character seems a bit drastic because it allows no rooms for social media links, but hey it's your baby) how do we attain producer status there? I would just like to be include in the links dropdown, and have the ability to make new release posts (coming soon!). And you do have full permission from me to 'import' all of my previous posts from HM (I assume that's pretty much what you did with the producers you already contacted) in their chronological order from the very beginning (history and dates are important in this genre for archival purposes).

Thanks so much, and let me know! Can't wait for this site to fully blossom so we can ditch the C4S association.

Both HM and HN seem to be void of any recent activity.

At Heroine Movies, there's only 1 person (Ivy) that is approving posts and she seems to be an employee of clips4sale. They are only getting around to checking the site once every week or two. Very sad. Used to be the best place to see previews of new videos.

Most of the best producers stopped posting their new releases to this forum years ago. TBFE, Rye, and most of the SHG-Media producers haven't been here in a long time. I heard 1 producer say that posting here didn't increase his sales so he stopped.

Since this was a negative post I feel I need to balance it out. Here's Wonder Woman's tits.

So I saw this thread pop up and thought I would add some info here.
I was approached by the new owners of HeroineMovies to see if I was interested in selling my site as well.
I was not. We reached an advertising deal which is why you are seeing some C4S banners on this site but I am most likely going to end that or at least pause it for a bit. More on that later.

It is a separate entity that owns HM and they are obviously affiliated with C4S but they specialize more in traffic acquisition/digital marketing. They both fall under a bigger umbrella. They are actually not bad guys and I am not really sure what their intentions are for HM going forward but my guess is that C4S traffic will be prioritized if they continue with regular updates.

Having said THAT, my testing and development continues for the new upgrade for THIS site and while it's going well, there have been some hoops and hurdles to jump through, I will be updating that info on my update thread, don't want to hijack this one. I will most likely be pausing the banners once I switch things over.
Anyway, that's it for now!

Thank you for not selling! I appreciate this place and I’m relieved it hasn’t become whatever HM.com is now.

Don't see any updates on either site for the last 2 weeks. Hoping this is just a lull in productions/activity, but with how bad C4S is with the new format, it's getting difficult to find out about new releases of anything now.
