I've decided to bring this forum back...I think its pretty clear what the topic is all about.

This is a place to discuss upcoming movies, TV shows, re-runs, anything that pertains to the mainstream media!

Let me be the first to throw a topic out there...I recently watched the Black Scorpion DVDs and was mildly surprised by the content. Ms. Lintel is EXTREMELY hot in and out of costume...The show really did manage to capture the hokey feel of the old Batman shows. Alas, it was cancelled, but maybe down the road they will release more films direct to video

Another hot topic out there is the casting call for the alleged WW movie along with the debate over the costume...WW is a mainstream A list heroine and deserves proper treatment. While I agree that the classic costume may be hard to pull off in today's politically correct society, I can only hope that those involved do not botch the costume or the spirit of the film the way Catwoman was butchered...Halle Berry was too hot for words, but the costume sucked B#@LLS!!! I personally feel they should go with an unknown preferably of latin descent to stay in line with the Amazonian/Brazil mythos

It was heartbreaking that the Black Scorpion series lasted only
one season. I cannot understand why it did not last longer.

The two Black Scorpion TV movies were apparently successful,
but the ratings of the TV series with Michell Lintel apparently
were not good.
When I first read that it would become a TV series it almost
blew me away. Too good to be true.
It was a perfect series for superheroine fans who like the
knockout genre. In a couple of the episodes Black Scorpion
got knocked out 3 times.
There were few of the 22 episodes in which she did not get
knocked out at least once.
To say that Michell Lintel is HOT is an understatemet. Great legs,
great body in a skimpy superheroine outfit. Doesn't get any
better than that.
Only downside to the action was after she would get knocked out
there was never a carry scene. Most of the villains she
fought were females and a good many times the villains won.

Every episode was exciting as we anticipated the knockout, but
to me the best fight scene was with Aerobicde. It occurred in
the first 2 minutes of the episode and after a very good hand to
hand fist fight, Aerobicide knocked Scorpion out cold with one
good hard punch to the chin.

Good action packed series. So sad it didn't last longer.

Michelle Lintel has dropped out of sight. Does anyone know where
or what she is doing now?

Although I have been a Wonder Woman fan for years, I am almost
reluctant to see someone try to make a major, big budget Wonder
Woman movie.
I am afraid as you said it will be botched. If they goof this up it
will make Wonder Woman be a subject of ridicule and a target of
the bashers. Certainly hope this doesn't happen.

They are going to have to do it right and this will be very difficult
to appease all the critics out there who chomp at the bits to cut
down and do their bashing.

Some movies of superheroines that have failed in the past that come
to mind: SHEENA, Tanya Roberts (1984) was not well received.
The more recent AVENGERS, Uma Thurman was ridiculed.
Frankly I was dissapointed in both of them.
I have not seen CATWOMAN but I have heard almost nothing good
about it.
Dissapointments in the past like these worry me.

I think what would be enjoyable to Wonder Woman fans would be
a movie or series of low budget light weight movies of Wonder Woman
with action similar to what we have seen in some of the older
WW comics.

Kim Basinger has been mentioned in the role of Wonder Woman.
Despite her age she is still HOT and I think she would be good.
Others prefer a younger actress, (Jessica Biel or Catherine Zeta Jones)
and certainly they would be good.
