Very nice - those last couple sentences alone were well worth the wait.
Now, please tell us this story isn't over with. BG might have been totally crushed, but in my opinion, the story is just beginning. Whenever I read one of these "fall of a super heroine" stories, I always gravitate toward the "after the fall" parts so we can get a solid idea of just how disgraced they've become compared to their former selves.
