looks like all the vids from that site are on a new site...don't know the rules regarding posting links or whatnot so i'll refrain for the time being
seems like their vids are only for streaming though...which is too bad
new phoenix making a comeback?
I thought he went to Japan to work with gigafreaks.

I'm sorry, Andy Rodriguez is the illustration that's used under the definition of "Self-Promoting Hack."

It seems like that might be it. But they don't seem to be completely up and running. They only offer streaming and DVD, and their DVD option doesn't seem to be running yet. I refuse to purchase streaming. I'm in MN, where winter weather can knock out your internet. I'd like to be able to access my purchases if anything goes down.Mr. X wrote:http://a09154.wix.com/newphx/online-sto ... line-store

Seems like it's just someone selling New Phoenix Filmworks' old clips. Last I heard, Andy was making a Horror/Mystery film with a 'new' character who looks identical to the Atlantis Studios copyrighted character Paula Peril.

I see some things never change, ie, the "coming soon Nov 2012" and with no product! if I remember correctly, that was one of the many things that did him in. Airbag Rodriguez is nothing more than an over bloated carcass disguised as a superheroine peril 'film maker' who steals other characters, materials, and the public's money. He's one 'come back' that really doesn't need to.

Their vids weren't bad, when they actually put them out on time. I did get the one Retrogirl Uninvited dvd and it was pretty good, then they never used the actress(Theresa Baldwin) for her again which was a shame. I think Rodriguez just screwed over way too many people so it's hard to support them in general.

Uninvited was their best one. The actress who played Retrogirl was amazingly hot. The Powercat stuff was pretty decent too.RedMountain wrote:Their vids weren't bad, when they actually put them out on time. It seemed a bit weird to me that New Phoenix Filmworks started out so well with DarkFury which could easily have been shown as a TV Movie on SyFy and yet they (or rather he) ended up making incoherent rubbish. The last one I saw (Darkpool) seemed like it had been abandoned halfway through the shoot, leaving Andy to cobble together a story from minimal footage.

all I can say is that when his boat started sinking, everyone bailed including him...he wasn't going down with his ship. there were models who weren't being paid, a membership website that accepted "donations" that weren't giving the customer product in return, and various other promises that weren't being kept. For example: what college age girl would or could afford a lawyer to reclaim wages? anyone remember a model who was 'signed exclusively' to him? that only made ONE movie?! yeah, there was a lot of shady business going on that finally caught up to Airbag Rodriguez. Anyone else remember his so-called "break in" that slowed production? a car supposedly plowed into his house that caused a 'major setback in production'? well, a little research with the right resources showed that the accident DID in fact happen, but not at HIS house as he claimed. In fact, it was over 100 miles away from where he said it supposedly happened. I can go on, but I won't. He's better left as a distant memory; like Mad Max left roaming the wasteland of superheroine movies

Just tried to purchase a streaming video from that site a couple of days ago. DO NOT ORDER FROM THAT SITE!
Half the links do not work!!! Also when I put in my credit card info at the secure payment page, i hit submit payment and it
IMMEDIATELY WENT TO AN ERROR PAGE SAYING THE PAGE DOESNT EXIST.
I have tried contacting Black Mask Entertainment but to no avail. If you try using the provided e-mail address it comes back invalid.
Here's the real kicker though,
My credit card was still charged and showed up on my bank statement with the company name and I contact number. The contact number is actually Andy Rodriquez himself! He tried to play off that he had no idea why his number would show up on the bank statement and he was out of the business. That's pretty damn suspicious to me. I think he is just trying to re-market his film company under a different name and lie to people saying that this "Black Mask Entertainment" bought a non existent license.
Just want to forewarn everyone. This is most likely Andy trying to scam people once again. I wish there was en entity i could report this to.

"black mask entertainment"?! sounds like airbag Rodriguez. Didn't he have a character named Black Mask? coincidence? NO suspicious? YES. If he still lives in Phoenix I would contact the law enforcement out there and speak to a white collar detective and report it as a computer crime. Maybe complete an affidavit with your bank/credit card company and request an investigation. You should be able to get your money back if you complete an affidavit and explain the situation. But don't hesitate to contact the authorities out there in Phoenix! Airbag Rodriguez leaves a slime trail that you should be able to follow...good luck!
FYI, it is fraud and an internet / interstate commerce crime. You just have to find the right resource. But of course Airbag is going to act surprised! it's what he does and it's what he did when I caught him. It's easy for him to act surprised and innocent as if he had no knowledge of it. Once caught, he will apologize and give you his "I'm an honest businessman" speech and then, if you're really lucky, refund your money and with future promises to receive a free movie from him to make it all right. I would file an affidavit with your bank, REQUEST an investigation and get your money back, and press charges on him for fraud and all the internet crimes you can stick on his slimy ass. There's no telling how many others he's done this to, and while the email address and website manager/host trails go nowhere, the money is certainly going into his bank account! There's NO way he can be getting money and NOT know it's coming from said site. Follow the slime trail and it leads directly to Airbag Rodriguez! There's a reason noone here in the US wants to do business with him and that's why he took his sinking ship overseas....or at least tried to!

fwiw: i liked their site because it was moreso devoted to peril (and i'm not really into the porn aspect), and at least had original heroines...not like most sites that all do wonder woman knockoffs.

That's fine and dandy when people actually get the superheroine peril videos they've paid for. However, we've yet to see any evidence that this new website is supplying any content whatsoever. So far, we have one member of this forum who appears to have thrown his money down a hole.ilikechicken wrote:fwiw: i liked their site because it was moreso devoted to peril (and i'm not really into the porn aspect), and at least had original heroines...not like most sites that all do wonder woman knockoffs.

Yeah, Theresa was awesome, she had a sexy voice and really filled out the costume well. It helped that she spent most of that episode getting pummeled and laying around unconscious.ledonatello wrote:Uninvited was their best one. The actress who played Retrogirl was amazingly hot. Did anyone ever get any content from blackmask.tv before it disappeared? They claimed to have shot a brand new Black Talon video which was perpetually promised for "next week".

I liked the movies that I bought from him, but it seemed like for every movie he made, there were 2 or 3 he was making that were never finished. That may be typical in the business but I'm not sure.
I once had a problem where the DVD he sent me didn't work and he sent a replacement.
