Just came across the Batman episode "Pop goes the Joker" where robin gets put into a spinning mobile full of razor sharp palette knives. This trap is an absolute favorite, if only Batgirl had been put in it...
My question to the group: What is your favorite Bat-trap that was wasted on someone other than Batgirl?
Now that there are a number of video producers that are doing excellent Perils of Batgirl types of videos, maybe we can see these perils properly presented.
Best Bat-traps
One of my favorite Joker-operated deathtraps was from, believe it or not, Lego Batman. Joker and Harley would tie the victim's arms to one jetski, the victim's legs to another jetski, and then send the two jetskis off on opposite directions in a "race".
Unfortunately, not only was it not used on Batgirl, it wasn't even used on a living human being. Joker and Harley used it on a dummy of Commissioner Gordon.

The Echo Chamber is high on my list. Utility belts removed. Hands cuffed behind them so they can't cover their ears. The pounding force of the sound forcing them to their knees...then their backs...
The Minstrel tying the Dynamic Duo up on a rotating BBQ spit with a microwave heater slowly dissolving them is another favorite. Really nice camera angles.
Would have been nice to see them both sweating and having a baster or a small brush at a particular level.
Along that same line, Catwoman binding the duo to two giant grills and bringing in two magnifying glasses to toast them both is a particularly "hot" scene. She mentions they've both been covered with margarine ("Holy Oleo!") so they'll fry up better, and if you watch the scene Robin seems to be getting off on it quite a bit.
And I've always been a fan of the Joker trapping the duo with a vending machine that shot out leg clamps to hold them in place while knockout gas got sprayed in their faces. Something just erotic about Robin passing out on Batman's shoulder while the two of them wait for their captor to claim them.

While I enjoy all the elaborate contraptions, my favorite traps/perils were simple, yet elegant.
Just imagine this shot with Batgirl getting a faceful of knockout powder from False Face.
Or Batgirl restrained and helpless as the Joker reaches for her mask.

You know, keeping along with that chinese water torture theme, I always would've liked to re-shoot the pebble trap scene (Oh wait, I could probably do that, huh? 
) Where 2 superheroines are driven "batty" from the constant tinking of pebbles on their skulls and then eventually become completely submissive and zoned ... I think I'll get to work on that one right away

I think this would look damn fine with O-girl and Nylonika getting tortured by Diana Knight or Randy Moore (some one posted a fan fic that included a scene like that in the Story section) . Love the molls they had in that show, too, short skirts and big hair.

Catwoman gets all the best death traps... She tries to kill Batman and Robin something like three times in the same episode. Of course she also gave Batgirl the best perils also. I do like the way they tied the straps under their chin, I love the idea strapping Batgirl's neck down.

Actually I was waiting for someone to mention the button stitching machine. I was doing an a pretty hot and heavy chat about having a heroine in that trap. kind of a Freudian peril, having batgirl penetrated on a mattress....
The spinning wheel is another wish she had been there peril.... Riddler was another Super-villain never got enough opportunity with batgirl. In the one episode where he captured her, she was dragged off to a steam room death trap. A double shame, first I love steam room bondage perils. Second, the whole peril was done off camera. To add insult to injury, one of the sexiest villainesses ever, Joan Collins Siren, didn't even get to gloat with an ol' fashioned lesbo vibe.
The FG Riddler really gave me the creeps. He seemed to close to an erection when he gloats over Robin in one of the other episodes.

yeah, I always wondered how much the actors enjoyed the bondage aspect of it; frankly, any grown man running around in green tights is creepy enough, but either FG was really into his maniacal character, or he just enjoyed the role too much, I don't know. As for Cesar Romeo who played the Joker, I did read he was gay, so one has to wonder how much HE actually enjoyed the bondage aspect of the kinky death traps. Burt probably got the worst of it, being replace in one episode by a female imposter. On the flip side, he probably had the most to gain from the show. From what I heard, He and Adam would catch a lot of tail once the show went on the air. Burt was apparently even accused of stealing a Batgirl outfit so his girlfriend (or in some versions a hooker) could wear it.
I guess that a man (or youthful ward) could put with a lot of humiliation for unlimited sex partners. Yvonne didn't take the shows success so well, she already was pretty successful doing Elvis movies and TV spots, and in later years was unhappy about getting asked about whether she enjoyed the fetish aspects of the character. I can pretty much understand that. How many creepy letters do you want to get about the Siamese Human Knot? She was the woman that launched a million fetish-y libidos, but I can understand she looked at as another job in a sexy costume.

Here is the mobile scene I mentioned in the first entry on this thread. With the DVD coming out, it looks like WB is trying to sanitize YouTube. Unfortunately, this is a dubbed version. Still, you have to love all those spinning blades and the idea of Batgirl pinned in the center.
Here is another Riddler/Robin trap. I really love the girl in the Bo-peep outfit gassing robin. I always had a thing for girls in weird costumes... a villainess playing innocent. Would love to see Bo-peep gas Batgirl with her staff. Batgirl wakes to find herself tied in a fetishy death-trap, Bo-peep get off on watching her.....
Ohhh.... Er, yeah anyway. This is a interesting scene with the Riddler and Robin. Even dubbed you get a real sense that he is REALLY into getting rid of Robin. Also it is one of the few instances where batgirl and Robin face identical perils, and we all know the societal impact of Batgirl in the pattern cutter.

I don't know what it is about conveyor belts and heavy machinery.... Maybe I just love dual use technology.... I also came across this Joker trap that I had forgotten about. Robin rolling down a the conveyor to a comic book press. I would like to see Batgirl in this one because she can actually see the deathtrap at work as she gets closer. Batman had a couple of printing style perils, The stamp machine and the music roll perforator (love the idea for that, all those sharp spike plunging down around Batgirl as she writhes to avoid them), but this one had the advantage of being able to actually see the device in action instead of box with an opening.

Yeah HA, it had the same effect on me. I also just like the simple take downs where they were trapped in nets. I know Catwoman (Eartha Kitt) had one just prior to the capture of Bg in the pattern cutter episode where her goons snared the dynamic duo and Penguin caught Bruce Wayne in a net and had him on a conveyor to a furnace when he tried to plant a bug in Penguins shop. Just like the idea of Bg writhing away as she is snared. MH did a great Knightwoman vid where CC was great as she and Jade were captured in a net and then hit with knockout gas. Maybe something with a net / gas takedown and then a conveyor belt peril would be the ideal for me.

Plus Robin seemed really distressed by Batman's predicament when he woke up tied to the horse. Disturbingly so. The Key cutter trap is one that hasn't come up, that I really love. It has lot going for it:
1) the joker is at his best.
2) Hot moll, I actually would like to see her toying with batgirl. I could see her getting jealous of Batgirl because Joker is so obviously turned by her in the Bat-trap. To keep her man she becomes intimately in engineering Batgirl's demise.
3) Promise of a slow and cruel machine for her demise.
4) a pretty cool back-up death trap (The best line in the scene "when the boy wonder is properly waxed, let me know...")
Batgirl (in a half mile of rope) would look pretty awesome writhing on "skeletonizer" as the Joker gloats and gets off on the approaching blade.

I don't know why but this scene always got to me. Watching even defiant and yet slowly turning solid, her jaw chattering would have been perfection. And I think we can all agree a firm Batgirl is best.
