the one that stands out for me is the pattern cutter; it's a classic but very erotic....nothing like a helpless heroine bound and gagged and ready to be split in half by a buzzsaw! I liked how she was tormented a little beforehand by Catwoman, and then picked up by one of her goons.....and then put down on the table and strapped in place.....every bit very erotic and well done! A better twist on it would have been to have her tied spread-eagled to the table and have the blade come up meeting her crotch first! It would have been hot to see her in some similar Batman perils as well: tied up behind a shooting gallery, or tied to a barbeque spit....and short of her having bullet-proof soles like Batman and Robin did, I can see Batgirl doing some athletic twist or swing to the side at the very last second before the trigger is pulled to dodge the pellet gun round.....

As for actual BG scenes, I loved the gas attack by Penguin that took her out on the sidewalk. The way she went down, she just looks so damn sexy in that costume. Cat's Whiskers and Steam Room are two of my favorites also just for the way she was man handled in both scenes. The whiskers had so much potential, they should have let her struggle a bit longer before she found the sprinklers.

I know that is weird...her hands are tied to a rope that is securing her ankles..when the goon lays her on the table he forces her knees to the table stretching the rope from her ankles to her wrists...I would love to have watched them unti her hands and force them behind her back...I so wish they used ballgags back then....and I wish catwomans clawed fingers would have found there way to batgirl's nipples and between her legs.......meow!

Personally I love your thoughts however most of your ideas would not have been okay on TV during the 1960's. That being said, I would have loved to have seen her tied to the Book Worms bell clapper, The Human Key duplicator , I love the pendulum idea but the one I would have most like to have seen would be Batgirl replacing Robin on the Riddler’s Buzzsaw

For Batgirl episodes, i think they missed a great opportunity in Londinium. I wish that Barbara Gordon would have enroled in Lady Peasoup's crime school for girls. Then at night she could slip out of her dorm room as Batgirl and investigate. They could reference that the school is accepting 200 new students, then as batgirl gets spotted or trapped, they can suspect a new student. So Batgirl /Barb is walking a fine line, risking her secret identity. A few close calls, and maybe her trapped in deathtrap, as Lady peasoup orders the new girls have a bed check to see who is missing. See the mini skirted girls doing a bed check room by room, while in split screen Batgirl is trying desperatly to stay alive and escape to get back and save her secret!!

As for traps she could replace Robin, I love the Joker's electric chair. Imagine her gassed by the rigged milk machine, then strapped in the back of the moving van from one armed bandit company!

Or batgirl pelvic thrusting and twisting on FalseFace's subway track trap.

Or imagine Batgirl in the hands of Joker's thugs on stage at the opera house. Barbara escorted her Daddy to the opera for a night out. Seeing Joker, she slips away and becomes batgirl and rushes the stage. Ambushed, then squirming with henchmen's hands all over her as Joker does his speech...now ladies and gentleman the moment you have all been waiting for...."
Of course we see Batgirl's paniced eyes dart into the audience and see Commissioner Gordon there!!

Favourite Batgirl Peril - Cat's Whiskers. I saw it as a kid and it was fantastic for some reason I wasn't too sure of at the time. I didn't manage to tune in the next week either so she never boringly escaped for me until years later.

Best Wonder Woman Peril - where she is turned into a statue by Roddy McDowell.

Biggest Missed Opportunity for Peril Ever - Wonder Woman in the perspex tube. That could have been so good, if only the idiotic villains had put a lid on the tube to stop her from jumping out.

Besides the cat whiskers episode....which I think ANYONE who was living and watching Batman back then....surely would never forget that episode... Another peril scene that I was always fond of was the one with Egghead, he had Batgirls hands bound behind her back and forced her to dance. Then afterwards she was tossed into this huge vat of caviar eggs and slowly began sinking into them. The look on her face as she slowly got sucked down inside them was priceless. =D>

In the first season of Batman, the episode Give Em the Axe, the Riddler's henchmen capture Robin in a museum. The Riddler instructs his men to tie Robin to a rack, "If he doesn't fit, then stretch him to size."

Nice! The comments and threats made by the villain really add to the scene. If it was all quiet it wouldn't be nearly the turn on. When they get batgirl secured to the rack they should tell her she needs to reveal batman and robins identity and the location of the batcave or they will stretch her until she breaks....of course they show her they are serious with some fast action to get her started! She would refuse and say she will never reveal it...few more cranks...moans but no talking...so this is where riddler and joker get really twisted and bring out a ballgag..."let's make this a little more interesting Batgirl...if you are not going to talk then you shouldn't be allowed to talk!" Hahahaha....catwoman slowly fits the ballgag into batgirls mouth and takes her loving time in fastening the buckles to secure it in place....no Batgirl won't be able to reveal the secrets but she has to so the punishment will stop!

Catwoman works her now tightened body with her whip and cat o nine tails.....slowly dragging them and her claws along the tight body!

This could all take place in a museum like they did it to Robin in....this would be one cool peril scene for poor batgirl.

Well, I must agree that "Cat Whiskers" is probably one of the most awesome of traps ever sprung on the Batgirl that took bondage to its fiendish limits.... But I must say the times she was gassed were quiet exciting too... When Louie the Lilac gassed her and stunned her as she stood quiet transfixed as the vaserating vat awaited the boiling oil was quiet enjoyable... Then also there was the fear gas used on all three of the heros by the Calamity Jane gang, this would have been nice if it had been an erotic gas that had the three involved in a threesome scene as the gang got away...

But one other episode with Lord Fogg was quiet promising where one of the students gassed the pretty heroine and then Lord Fogg had her chained against the wall in the dungeon, a pity he wanted to knock her off so fast, don't you think? LOL. Much better would it have been for Lord Fogg to play with the heroine or better yet some of his sweet little girls to come along and find her in such a vunerable way...

Still another episode that I think would have been awesome to have Batgirl been the target as was the one where Riddler captured the Boy Wonder as Batman was drugged in the disco and then strapped down and a mask made of his face in order for one of riddler's little hench ladies to get into the Batcave as Robin's double.... Can't you imagine the irresistable temptation of having Batgirl out cold and strapped so sweetly to a table... Riddle Me this... Riddle Me that... But I love it more when captured like flypaper is the girl bat!!!!

I just love Batgirl traps at old factories, or construction sites, or carnivals. So many items that can be transformed into deathtraps.

An example is Barbara Gordon is on the trail of a mob boss and extorsion ring. She notices a zoning regulation over site at city hall. She discovers that a mob boss in question is threatening the owners of the tower that is being constructed illegally. So that night, Barbara dons her leotard/tights/utility belt/cape/cowl/ankle boots/gloves and goes to investigate.

The dim moon light dances off her tights encase legs as she moves through the construction site. Over hearing the boss threatening to kill the owners, Batgirl jumps into action. Bravely she battles the 8 thugs and beats them all. She is then stopped by the sound of a gun cocking. spinning around she sees the boss with a gun to the owners head. Give up batgirl or i blow his brains out.

Batgirl surrunders, as they tie her ankles together, then her knees, then wrists behind her back, and then attach a rope under her arms and lift the helpless heroine up, over and lower her down into a form for the concrete wall. Once lowered, they begin to pour the concrete into the form, which slowly rises up her feel, ankles, legs...slowly rising as Batgirl struggles...mind racing for a way out of this concrete tomb....

First you see her squirming with from her legs and upper body.. ohhhh, but the squirmng has no effect and slowly she can't move her legs anymore... and you know her head is free to watch the diabolical shrink wrap machine inching all the more up her body!!! It is a warning to the tribe's Chieftian and they let the Batgirl free hoping to spare her wrath from ending the world as they know it... I always thought the producers of the show should have put Batgirl in a deathtrap that would be triggered by Batman and/or Robin (i.e. they open a door or do something else that springs a boobytrap) or maybe a peril where Commissioner Gordon would inadvertently kill her. Wouldn't that be ironic?

They also should have put Barbara Gordon in more perils. How about one where she is abducted and placed in a deathtrap and Commissioner Gordon and Batman are told that unless they deliver Batgirl to the villain, Barbara will die? Of course, they can't deliver because Batgirl is already in peril, so it's up to Barbara to save herself, but without any of the tools that are part of her Batgirl costume. (She should, of course, be dressed to the nines for her peril. Maybe she is abducted at some formal event or a fashion show.)

I can't believe that when Shame had Batgirl bound and gagged as his prisoner that she wasn't placed in peril. A railroad peril would have been appropriate for a Western villain. Or maybe something where she was tied between two or four horses and about to be pulled apart. Or something involving a hanging/gallows peril.

Then there's this little peril scenario:

"What a deadly paradox?" Batgirl thought, growing more concerned by the moment as she sweated profusely while standing atop a giant block of ice. Yet that was what the beautiful young crimefighter was doing as she mmmppphhhed and grunted into her thick double gag and shifted the pointed toes of her stiletto-heeled ankle boots in a continual attempt to maintain her precarious balance atop the slippery surface. The bindings around her ankles and just above her knees were doing her no favors, and the one-way noose around her neck was drawing tighter and tighter by the minute; soon it would begin to do its deadly work exactly as Mr. Freeze and the Penguin had planned.

The gold bat logo was thrust forward on her heaving Spandex-clad chest, one of the side effects of the way her wrists and elbows were secured behind her back. Batgirl turned her head to the left as much as she could with the noose forcing her to look upward, noting the bubbles rising once again toward the surface of the water-filled tank where the Boy Wonder was submerged and chained to the bottom.

The compressor that supplied Robin with life-saving air through a diver's helmet was running again, and that meant that Batman was once again pedaling the exercise bike in the room where he, too, was restrained while forced to watch the others in their respective deathtraps. That also meant that the heating grate directly under the block of ice atop which Batgirl stood -- for now, at least -- was being powered once again by the same exercise bike. If Batman wanted to keep Robin breathing, he had to pedal and thereby bring Batgirl closer to death. If he stopped pedaling for more than a minute or so to prolong Batgirl's life, Robin would die from lack of oxygen.

And with the pressure-sensitive seat of the exercise bike wired to an explosive that would destroy the entire building, Batgirl knew that Batman -- the only hope of rescue for herself and Robin -- could do little to help. He also was facing death, as the explosive device was attached to a timer that would finish the job once Batgirl and/or Robin had died a slow, agonizing death.

Batgirl's thoughts were brought back to her own increasingly perilous predicament by the burning in her arches and calves as she fought to maintain her balance on her tiptoes. Her green eyes were wide with fear as she felt her breaths becoming more and more restricted by the rope around her neck. Was this to be the end of them all?

WOW Patterncutter! Fantastic story. Love the scene, incredible imagination! Love to hear more of your batgirl peril scenes.

Love the western scene with shane. A railroad track would have been perfect. Maybe tied on a horseback under a branch which has a rope tied to the noose around batgirl's neck. wrists tied behind back, as she tries to keep the horse calm.

I have to agree with batgirl1969 that the Pattern Cutter is the best Batgirl Trap. "Angora gag her! Crime fighters are to be seen and not heard" ... With that the muted trumpet sounds and the henchman goes to work on helpless Batgirl. Holy Boner, did I just hear that? I couldn't believe my eyes as Batgirl fights to keep from being gagged. That is just awesome. I also enjoyed the Cat's Whiskers as batgirl is tied on screen and is wearing the darker purple suit. Another favorite Batgirl in Peril scenes are the episode with Shame. Batgirl is taken hostage and is gagged for that one really nicely.

Of course I would love to see Mr. Freeze torment the young Batchick because just like in the colder sections of the grocery store it gets a bit nipp(le)y when its colder!

I don't get it why do I agree 100% with everything you said?No gags, yes...dialogue is awesome. And slow removal of her belt to show off her to-die-for waist. Dang. Female robin is one heroine I'm desperately hoping to see more of.

My personal favorite is when Batgirl got manhandled off her cycle and tied to the ground by Joker and Catwoman's henchmen.

Those quick, overpowering struggles are my favorite in the superheroine genre. I think the henchmen should have quickly yanked her utility belt and gloves off to prevent her using any hidden escape devices.


Personally, my favorite superheroine peril / KO material is getting blackjacked from behind into semi-consciousness. Their is quite a bit of artwork by a man named Monsiur Paul over at Mr. X's page catering to that. Seeing the heroine quickly grabbed from behind, blackjacked, semi-conscious, having her belt and mask quickly removed just in case she escapes later is really hot to me for some reason.

This one is just for you, Tina. It's in the vein of the old TV show, but I'm picturing a slightly updated Batgirl costume -- even tighter, stretchier high-tech fabric that can display her exquisite body to even greater effect and ankle boots with thin, 5-inch stiletto heels.

Anyway, here's a short outline for a story:

Batgirl reluctantly agrees to be part of the security detail for an older visiting head of state from the Middle East. She actually likes the man, who has kind of a jolly old St. Nick quality about him. The sheik suffers an apparent heart attack at a luncheon and is rushed to a hospital with Batgirl by his side in the ambulance, but it's a setup. He's been drugged and one of the ambulance attendants knocks out Batgirl with an injection.

When our superheroine comes to, she finds her wrists and elbows bound tightly behind her back and a thick, knotted purple cloth pulled between her teeth as a cleave gag. A group of masked terrorists have taken her and the head of state someplace where they will try to get him to give them access codes to accounts containing government funds. They plan to bankrupt and destabilize his government to create an environment for religious fundamentalists to overthrow him and plunge his country into chaos.

The sheik refuses to give them the codes, so they turn their attention to Batgirl. They tell him she will be placed in peril if he does not tell them what they want to know. Batgirl looks at him with fear in her eyes, but he tells her that he cannot betray his people.

Another terrorist is holding a camcorder as the caped cutie is roughly forced into a large dimly lit room where she sees some sort of bondage apparatus spotlighted at the far end of the room before her. Kicking and struggling as much as she can with her wrists and elbows tied tightly behind her back, Batgirl is dragged toward a wide metal post protruding from the floor that has two horizontal bars attached to it. As Batgirl gets closer, she is forced to kneel with her back to the post and her arms are bent back over the top horizontal bar. The terrorists then slide the lower bar down so that it presses against Batgirl's calves and stretches her torso to its full length and lock the bar in place. Her ankles are then tied together with more rope, and another rope is quickly added, running from her wrists to her ankles and leaving her in what amounts to a vertical hogtie. Once she is secured in this manner, the terrorists first raise the lower of the two bars about a foot off the floor and re-lock it, then raise the upper bar higher and higher until Batgirl is stretched painfully once again.

With the beautiful young crimefighter grunting and mmmppphhhing into her cleave gag as she tries in vain to free herself, the leader of the terrorists approaches her and produces a long purple scarf that he uses as an additional over-the-mouth gag and then ties the ends of it to the top horizontal bar behind her so that she is forced to tilt her head back. As Batgirl pulls against her bonds, she sees him pull out a tape measure. Perplexed by this, she then becomes alarmed as he measures the distance from the floor to her neck, which is stretched painfully by her stringent bondage. He then walks into the shadows at the other end of the long, dark room. Batgirl can't see what he's doing, but she hears him making some kind of adjustments to something mechanical and that worries her even more.

With a loud clank, the entire room is then bathed in bright light that blinds our heroine momentarily. As her eyes adjust to the illumination, she screams into her gag and pulls futilely at her bonds. Batgirl looks with wide-eyed terror at what the terrorist was making adjustments to: a large circular saw, much like the type used to cut open wrecked cars to free crash victims, is mounted on a track in the ceiling at the other end of the room so that the blade is horizontal. Her eyes follow the overhead track from its origins all the way past her to a point that she cannot see somewhere behind her. Batgirl quickly realizes that the saw is aimed directly at her long, slender neck.

The terrorist notes Batgirl's fear and walks toward her wearing a wide, sadistic grin as his cameraman follows a short distance behind. The leader tells her that in his country, infidels are executed by beheading. That is what will happen to her if the head of state does not give him the codes. She mmmppphhhs frantically into her gag and looks again at the sheik with pleading eyes, but he still refuses to divulge the codes. So be it, the terrorist says. We will begin with Batgirl, then it is your turn, he tells the head of state.

He flips a switch and the blade spins to life, becoming a whirring blur of gleaming metal in a matter of moments. Then he throws a switch and the mechanical assembly holding the blade lurches and begins to inch forward with a low hum. They watch Batgirl struggle against her stringent bonds, with her beautiful green eyes looking back and forth from the head of state to the saw as much as the scarf that holds her head in place will allow her to turn. The sheik is forced to watch the blade's slow, inexorable advance as our heroine writhes in her bonds, her eyes wide as her fear grows.

Every lean muscle in Batgirl's utterly feminine body is straining as the painful bondage takes its toll on her, and still the blade advances. She looks over at the sheik again and again, mmmppphhhing frantically in the hope that he may change his mind about giving up the codes, but he only stares at her. The old man is transfixed by the sight of this beautiful young woman bound, gagged and facing a diabolical deathtrap. And the terrorists' camera man is recording every moment of it for posterity.

The blade is now less than five feet away as Batgirl arches her back and strains in vain, desperately trying to free herself, her breasts thrust forward and the nipples visibly hard. A darker patch of fabric is now visible on the crotch of her costume, the mixture of bondage and peril arousing the young beauty as she fights for her life.
