Re: Captain America and whatever its subtitle is this week.

I haven't seen this movie and don't know the gritty details of the premise, but it seems kind of superfluous and sad. Trying too hard not to offend anyone or be political, which the 2011 movie pioneered for the character. (It's really ironic that DIsney was so afraid of showing too much Nazi paraphe...

Re: Better adaptions and remakes

This probably goes without saying but Peter Jackson's LotR movies > Rankin/Bass and Ralph Bakshi animated movies. I actually kind of dig the Rankin/Bass specials, but they're just not on the same level as the live action movies. Not a fan of how awkward the rotoscoping is for Bakshi's movie, though.

Re: Vince McMahon and crossing the line

Which leads me to ask: do you feel uncomfortable that there is some overlap in the allegations and the very core of SHIP? How do you separate those things in your mind? I don't really feel uncomfortable. The things that appeal to me about SHIP and DID content are the cartoonish, camp, and fantastic...

Re: Non-starter elements in SHIP videos

In addition to aforementioned turnoffs like cheap production values and too much sexual overtone, a lot of mine are plotholes or internal/cannon logic issues, which I know might seem like grasping straws but hey, it's a niche genre and things like that sometimes add up. I can't speak for everyone, b...

I'm excited to see what you have in store! But as a Mr. Freeze fan, I do have to say, I wish it was Batgirl on ice instead of the scissors. :P

Black Scorpion was cute. Pity there was never an episode with an ice villain to put the freeze on her! Wild!

Re: My Adventures with Superman (AdultSwim/HBOMax animated, 2023)

"Overbearing" is not the word I would use. Relentless and agenda-driven is more accurate. The point is to subvert the perception of the average young viewer who doesn't know the lore, while annoying the hell out of any fan who does know the lore. This is done on purpose: the 'gingercide' ...

Re: My Adventures with Superman (AdultSwim/HBOMax animated, 2023)

Even so, it seems like a really poor decision on someone's part to grant them the rights to Superman and not his own cast of supporting characters. It's one thing when there's real red tape involved, as is the case with Spider-Man in the Sony vs. Disney debacle, but even in the Arrowverse scenario, ...

Re: My Adventures with Superman (AdultSwim/HBOMax animated, 2023)

I could be wrong but if WB owns both Max and DC, you'd think that would be a non-issue though and the showrunners would have any character they want at their disposal. I could see that being a problem with Marvel media since there was a lot of reckless abandon with rights before Disney bought them, ...

Re: My Adventures with Superman (AdultSwim/HBOMax animated, 2023)

No, we'll see at least some of those. They'll be flipped or altered in some way or another to match the show's faux-humor. They keep plundering random characters from the DC sandbox (like Mist) so they'll plunder those, too. I'm doubtful. The reason they're using random characters, half of which ar...

Re: My Adventures with Superman (AdultSwim/HBOMax animated, 2023)

I'm mildly enjoying the show so far, almost in spite of how stale the sum of its parts is. It's not very compelling, but it's fine for background noise with the occasional cool visual to look at when I tune back in. The anime-esque designs I could take or leave, but I will say I really appreciate th...

Re: Time Stop or Statue scenarios

This is a big yes for me, but only when it's an ice or frost freeze and the victim has to then be carried awway for defrosting. As someone with a lot of cold-related kinks, I love it when the poor, frosted target is still chilled to the bone even after being thawed out and has a hard time warming ba...

Re: Hypnosis Peril

I am into superheroines and DiDs being hypnotized or otherwise conditioned mentally, but I personally don't often go fir the standard "yeeess masterrrr..." robotic-emotionless-hands-extended-like-Frankenstein trances. Imo, the quality stuff is when the subject is in a dopey, blissful stupo...

Re: Galaxy's Edge Closing

I don't think the whole of the Galaxy's Edge park area is closing (though I could be wrong), just the stupid Starcruiser hotel thing. Star Wars fans want the original, not Kathleen Kennedy's Star Wars I think even beyond Original Vs Sequels, the weak concept just doesn't feel like Star Wars. The who...

Re: Is there practically no interest in consensual sex scenes with (masked) heroines?

I can only speak for myself on this, and maybe I don't represent a big demographic, but I don't require the scenarios in the material I find arousing to be sexual in nature at all. I'm more into very specific types of peril or effects that the heroine/damsel/etc finds herself in. That being said, if...

Spider-Gwen is not a playable character in this game. You play as Mary Jane in a few stealth driven missions but that's it as far as the playable female characters go.
I really hate that MJ is a reporter in that game. I dunno, just bugs me. Why not make the journalist character Betty Brant?

Re: How do you refer to your heroine when she's in costume?

I usually refer to her by the persona she's currently adopting, unless there's a situation that calls for her to tap into her other persona- for instance, a scene where she's currently her costumed alter-ego, but the key to getting out of a jam depends on her recollecting some hint or trick that she...

Thank you both for the pointers and kind words! In my defense, I did intend to put those up as only one post, but I was afraid it would be too long. In retrospect, both posts on their own look kind of skimpy. I also can't seem to adopt the attitude that no post is too long on a fiction board, but I...

Re: The Medal in "For the Gold"

Twelve days earlier. The afternoon sunlight was high over Wabash University, but not quite ready to turn the shadows of the campus's old, gray, stone buildings bold or fat or long. While most classes were out for the day, with many of the last only ending a few moments prior, there were a couple of...

The Medal in "For the Gold"

(Hey, everyone! I've been dying to try my hand at creating heroine stories. After really sitting down and reading a few, especially HeroineMark's first Songbird chapters, I decided to just jump in and go for it. I hope you enjoy this first adventure of the Medal, a heroine endowed with Olympic stre...
