I made a new OC because I have a problem. I’ve probably watched less than 20 episodes of Ultraman, I’ve ingested a lot of parodies though, Redman, Mighty Lady, Ultimate Girls and all the Ultra parodies Giga makes. The idea of a giant heroine facing sexual peril in front of the onlookers below is super hot to me and I’ve played around with a couple of Ultra characters before, but I’ve never had art made for them.
For this character I wanted them to have electric powers (another favorite of mine) because we’ve had Ultramen with light, fire and water focuses, but I don’t know that there’s ever been an electricity focused one, so I’m happy to introduce Ultra Fulgora, a mysterious alien found in a floating city by Faith Bishop, member of the Planetary Defense Force. When Faith is fatally injured by aliens looking to take control of the mysterious city a silver giantess appears to her in her unconscious mind and offers to share its life force to revive her. Faith accepts the offer and the two women become one, sharing mind and body, empowering each other and maybe having some unwanted side effects as well.
Nevertheless, when trouble too great for the PDF to deal with rears its ugly head Ultra Fulgora rises to the challenge. Fulgora is a living solar panel, with the ability to convert sunlight into power, she can also absorb sources of electricity directly, though the process tends to leave her exhausted and sluggish once the energy has been expended. She enjoys the normal ultra powers, super strength, flight, enhanced durability and size shifting, she can also fire bolts or balls of lighting, form energy barriers or bend magnetic metals to her will.
As for weaknesses, she needs regular exposure to sunlight to maintain her great powers and her lightning abilities don’t fare well against insulated foes or stronger electromagnetic fields. The fusion with Faith increased both of their physical sensitivity and while Ultra Fulgora’s skin is strong enough to withstand most attacks a gentler touch can often be more distracting.
Case in point, our heroines were investigating a strange plant that sprouted out of the Amazon Jungle, uprooting and absorbing the energy of the surrounding flora like a deadly weed. When the PDF tried to destroy the invasive plant it came to life, swatting away their weapons. Fulgora readily joins the fight but finds the plants many viny tentacles to be overwhelming and before she knew it, she was bound and bested by the alien plant. Special vines try to milk her for her energy and the color timer on her belly button begins to blink in warning. Will our heroine mange to defeat this fiendish flora? I’ll let you know if I ever get around to writing the full story.
