Ethics question using others art for AI clips

Ethics question using others art for AI clips?

I’ve been practicing using AI and while I’m not an artist, I have had a lot of commissions done for me over the years.

So my question is how ethical is it to release AI clips using other artists art? I’m not selling anything or wanting to take credit, but I’ve created some really good stuff that I wouldn’t mind sharing.

Let me know your thoughts, especially from artists like Mr. X, Dr. Evil and WW3Dart. I’ll just keep it private if those who do the actual wonderful art feel its wrong, and try to share those that are AI generated.

Thanks for your input. Luther

Ask their permission. People will alter my work all the time but I just ask them not to sell it and to credit me.

You mention "clips" as in animation/video. If you want to make everyone happy or at least avoid copyright issues, drop your image sequence into iMovie (MacOS) and create rolling credits at the end of the image sequence. iMovie is free for Mac users but I'm sure there are free Window's programs that can do this.

But yeah, ask first is always a good option.
