We are only HOURS away from part 1 of the Elseworlds Crossover!
Well, I can't watch it live on the CW as I'm in germany, but I will watch that episode tomorrow...

The only thing new is the fact that David Nutter is the director of the pilot
It's just a pilot....for now.
Until a whole season is confirmed....I will remain relaxed.
But I am optimistic that there will be a day to celebrate when/if she really gets her own show

Batwoman UPDATE!
The pilot will be filmed in Vancouver, starting on march, 4th already! Only 6 weeks from now!!!!
This is one month ahead of the (so far) rumored schedule :-)
Great news!
I am pretty sure there will be some nice pictures from the set, once the filming starts.
Totally underwhelmed by that line up. Just looks like they are ticking ethnic boxes.

Well, I don't know any of them. But since I haven't watched the shows mentioned above....not a big surprise.
Unless I saw the pilot...I can't rate these cast decisions.
Remember Rachel Skarsten? You really should because she played Dinah in the Birds of Prey TV-series (the blonde of the trio).
She will play Kate Kane's "evil" sister Alice and that would be her arch enemy from the comics! She will be the (or one of them) main villainess for Batwoman :-)
And funny thing is...her full name is:
Rachel Alice Marie Skarsten (found that on IMDB)
Only a little over 3 weeks until the filming of the pilot starts!

That costume looks good! Crossing my fingers the writing will be as good, but it's from the same minds that brought as SG so I'm managing my expectations and expect some lazy writing too.

As I woke up one hour ago, checking a certain site as every morning...my pulse was accelarated through the roof.
Right now, I am so HAPPY, sooooo HAPPY.
So far, it seemed most likely that they would order season 1 after the pilot was filmed in march...but hey, I'm very superstitious when it comes to possible great news.
But now, all doubts are gone, as it is official:
We get a TV SERIES with a MASKED HEROINE in the MAIN role!!!
And easy to say after only 2 TV series so far (Queen of Swords and Black Scorpion) this is clearly the first one with a "real" budget so far.
And with ....very high/near certain... chances for more masked women (villainesses and heroines) in it. (And hopefully it will be the first one(!) who will get ...a second season)

Later this day I will celebrate this news with expensive burgers and something special to drink. ;-)
May 8th, 2019 ..... a day to remember.

WHY bother with the ridiculously long cape made out of curtains so it blows in the wind? Because she's a girl and they wanted a feminine type reveal. Treat the material as you would a male hero you wouldnt get a new Batman reveal with a dyed chiffon cape.
I hope its a hit and we get multiple series but above all I hope Rose has had some acting lessons since she landed the role

I'm pretty sure that was just for the trailer? Like an artistic thing. Cause 'teaser' trailer? Batman's cape tends to vary in length depending on the 'shot' and what its needed for as well (such as when it goes all super far out from his body to float in a puddle for an overhead shot, but never seems to be 'trip risk' length in actual combat). Her cape will likely be exactly the same length as it was in the elseworlds story in actuality.

I'm not sure I agree? I mean, the red coloring for Batwoman is played a bit for the 'rose' shade and all... but I feel like long floppy capes is used for a lot of things to get a certain visual flair... Just look at Spawn's cape? That thing is out of control.

The Show will run on Sundays at 8 PM before Supergirl (9PM)! (I think "Batgirl1969" will like that too)
So we have both female heroes on one day.
Here is the official storyline:

I am very disappointed that they will not add Black Lightning to the Arrowverse. He would be a great addition to a crossover. They need a mature superhero on a crossover team.
I think Batwoman could have been done a lot better. She doesn't stand out to me. She looks and feels like a clone of Alex Danvers. I think a more interesting story would have led up to Alex becoming Batwoman. They could have written a story for Alex and connect it to Batman. Batman and Superman are best friends. They could have met. Alex is well trained and has a background in government agencies. She is a trained solider for the DEO.

Well...."Don't judge a book by its cover", that was just a trailer. Check out the first episode in a few months.

Yeah don't judge the series based on this Trailer I mean.... They don't even show her costume here really and since we know that Batwoman already has one of the best ready made costumes in the CW verse this is probably ENTIRELY Pilot footage here. Expect episode 2 to look/feel a little bit different.

They filmed just the pilot so far. So, it is only pilot footage.
Her "real" Batwoman costume is only shown in the last seconds:

This and most of the Arrowverse is not produced for my demographic. I don't think there has been a great live action D.C since Michael Keaton's 2 Batman's although Gadot's Wonderwoman is not bad. Animation movies are much better other than Batman Victorian London or Batman Samurai.
But whoever did the 3 minute trailer either does not know marketing or is trolling any genre fan who bashed Captain Marvel, Discovery or Rey.
You can have a female lead action even with a lesbian(Willow from Buffy) without the male bashing. Wonder Woman, Buffy, Zena Charmed, Tomb Raider ect.
I do not want to get a into another drawn out comment war. I am more focusing on the bad promotion for a show

I adjusted the Batwoman countdown-clock on Maskripper to that date! 111 days to go!
The show starts just a little earlier than I expected, and I feel like it is an early birthday present when it will hit the screen.

The filming of all episodes (besides 1, which is already completed) will start in early July.
The San Diego Comic con goes from July 18 to 21.
Keeping these two facts in mind, I am sure we will get new material and facts on the show next month. Promo pictures, pictures from the filming…perhaps some videos.
