I love this sort of thing from a philosophical jurisprudential point of view. Did you agree to the system of government? Weren't you just born into it, forced to accept it for 18 (?) years without a say and then told that this is the game and you can play or not but you da,n sure don't get a choice in making the rules ? In this how is "you have to accept these things because of an accident of geography" a choice or inherently fair? (Obviously the real world does actually require some compromise with theory but from an academic theory point of view it's an interesting dichotomy)
All social contracts are logical fallacies. You cannot form a contract with someone against their will or knowledge. And there is no such thing as a special contract, or its not a contract.
Revolutionary War 101: No contracts? No representation? No Government!
Seriously though, it is an interesting point of discussion. Because the truth is, there isn't actually 'freedom' in any government, because the laws of all government's demand they be followed lest anarchy reign. The more government the less freedom, the more freedom the more chaos, the more government the less chaos. The balance is impossible to maintain for very long before it swirls to far to one side it seems. America IS as free as they come, and really you're right, not a single person alive 'agreed' to it verbally or in writing like they did during the Revolutionary War (and when you think about it, even then it's only the 'founding father's' that SIGNED, and it wouldn't be until the Constitution was drafted and voted on that there was a larger agreement.) WE were just born here, and the law demands that we comply.
I'm not sure there's a decent 'point' here. Most of us are damn lucky to have been born here and not say... Isis country, but that doesn't mean it isn't interesting reflection. I DID vote this year though, and for the first time, does that theoretically count as 'validation?' Dunno, food for thought I guess.

That's moot when the state can and will enforce the contract you don't acknowledge using violence and incarceration. At least voting gives you some say, however small, in what laws are forced upon you.
The "Sovereign Citizen" and "Freeman on the Land" movements have been making similar arguments for years. Yet there's no credible evidence of anyone ever triumphing over the state by using this stuff. It appears the best such people can do is cause enough disruption to get a court temporarily adjourned (resulting in more severe sentences for them) or occasionally bamboozle mall cops.

Can we keep this forum not political.
There are other places to discuss this

While it may be possible to refrain from party politics, a completely non-political forum would be difficult to achieve. Many of your own posts are overtly political (Such as the discussion on Mary Sues.) As are many of mine.
If we're going to discuss the real world issues that affect what we do
or don't see in our movies, shows, comics and fetish videos, then that's going to get political. The best we can do is try to avoid using pejoratives such as "SJW" or "bigot" about other forum members.

This is a politically titled topic in the miscellaneous section. If you don't want to see such posts, don't click on them.

I can see where Dazzle1 is coming from, though. Knowing people's political and ideological views kind of puts a skew on everything else they post.
But I've pissed on my chips in that respect.

There is a difference in talking about social issues or criticizing it in the genre
The election has nothing do with the genre, I also don't feel it belongs in LinkedIn

Well, that's because "social contracts" aren't contracts they are Delicts or Tortous duties i.e. obligations imposed by law at least in the anglo saxon world, in civil code jurisdictions they are probably all articles of i.e. the code of obligations.

It kind of seems like your not listening to what people have been saying. First of all the election could have BIG effects on our genre and multiple people have shown how.
Second, and this is the big one: if you really don't want to see anyone mentioning politics in a way you feel ruins your experience using this sight there are ways to fix that without implying others shouldn't also be able to use this space the way they want. Probably start by not reading threads ABOUT politics if you don't want to READ about them. No one made you click on this thread and no one made you read it but you. Beyond that, you can very easily put the people you feel are ruining your experience on your enemies list. It then hides their posts by default. You can easily turn this forum into a nice little safe space where you only see who and what you want.

He's not coming for you so get over it already.
The other side of me says WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SUCK IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This will have no effect on this genre or the adult industry in general. Trump could care less about the adult industry and even his religious supporters have bigger fish to fry.

Exactly, quit crying! It's not like republicans ever wanted to tell you who you can or can't marry, when you can have an abortion, or promoted discrimination in the guise of religious freedom. Trumps not coming after you. Worry about something realistic like Clinton stealing all the guns like Obama and Bill did before.

Yeah, and it's not like REpublican administrations have ever come after porn before. Or that any of the prominent members of Trumps administration, say his VP who will be doing a lot of the day to day work of the President according to Trump himself, hasn't spent a lot of their public career crusading on moral issues.
Oh wait.

So in other words 'Quit crying while I stand here and gloat' I'll agree with you that protesting the VETERANS' is of no value, but um... with all due respect. My response to this post boils down to. You're opening sentance, your 'pussies' remark (not that pussies itself is as bad a thing as society has made it, but you clearly meant it in the worst possible way) and finally YOU WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now quit acting like a Bitch.
Look in the mirror, remember that YES YOU WON, hold on to that satisfaction because yes, you deserve it, then reflect on the fact that 50% of the world wishes you hadn't, then that you would feel EXACTLY the same if you had lost because you're the same species as us. Then do what all the best most classy winners in the world do, and take it with grace. No one is 'obligated' to lose with dignity, nor are you obligated to WIN with dignity, but if you CAN'T win with dignity, don't expect anyone to think better of you.
Even TRUMP'S response to winning was composed and about more respectful than ANYTHING he'd said previously. Is he not the man you signed in with as example to follow?

Now who's being the "pussy"? It's okay for you to throw out tons of personal insults but the moment someone turns it back on you we're done? Okay bro, so long and don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

Right, this is a pre-emptive strike, lets all leave any personal attacks at the door before things kick off.
Can't we all just rejoice in the fact that America has elected a racist, ego-maniacal, self-confessed molester of women, who has made his money off the backs of those he has trampled under foot, who's only interests are to serve himself and who was deemed by his advisors to be too irresponsible to be allowed to control his own Twitter account, as the most powerful man on the planet and leader of the free world?
Hurrah. Bravo. Well done. You've doomed us all .
But that aside, lets not fall out with each other. There's gonna be enough hate in the White House for the next four years to go around.
So no personal attacks chaps, please.
