On the whole, I find the number of emoticons for this board well above satisfactory, but it's just struck me that we're missing a rather important symbol... given the general theme of this site, it simply doesn't feel right to be missing one of Wonder Woman when we've got a smiley representing Silver Surfer, of all characters.

And it's not like WW emoticons don't exist out there. Heck, this site has a perfectly decent one (note how it shares so many of its other superhero emoticons with ours). Would it be possible to import theirs over to this board?

Anyone else who cares about this - thoughts?

I totally agree with you. There is not enough superhero/superheroine emoticons on this forum. I say we form some sort of boycott/strike till our demands are met.

How do you "make" smilies, come to think of it? Do you just take a tiny image and save it as a .gif? I have some ideas of my own...

Basically yes, take an image, open it in whatever you use, eg gimp or photoshop, give it a tranparent background if needed. Also there may be a size limit imposed by phpbb boards.

In that case, could you please take this icon and do the same with it? Nothing against Lynda's head, but it seems a tad... unwieldy.

Nothing needs to be done with the ww.png image you posted. It already has transparency most browsers will display correctly (old IE browsers don't display png transparency).

I still need to tweak the wwlynda.gif I made. Looks fine on light background, but has a non-smooth halo on dark background.

The spinning lassoo WW is great, but is there any chance you could move it from the first page of Smilies? It's really distracting to have that at the side of the screen while typing a post.
