Girls love fashion. No exception even she is super. She has chosen a short skirt over a leotard and tights as her costume.

Not the best piece of clothing to cover below hips for a crime fighting heroine. Specially one who flies all the time and having fans who most are little kids. It covers appropriate amount when she is standing normal but reveals lot more when fighting. Getting ass kicked for a super heroine is an embarrassing thing specially in the middle of the city in front of her fans. When her skirt goes up and even cape is no where near to cover her under garments, it's more embarrassing.

Here are some moments she revealed her leotard underneath the skirt while saving the National city.

Even when landing from air. Cat's little son who is a big fan of her couldn't believe his eyes when his biggest crush heroine lands from train roof revealing her leotard.

For melissa benoist there is a stunt double. For Super girl there is no stunt double.

Supergirl vs Astrid round II looks all kinds of awesome. This looks like the Kara vs Ursa Helen Slater Supergirl fight I wished for way back when. I'm so glad they got the costume so right. Don't change a thing (unless it's an exact of the 1984 costume).

We have to wait another 2 weeks to see super girl fly. Only thing we can do till then is to watch how her skirt flies

Starting with the fight with her sister. I am proud to be a fan after I've seen this fight. Fighting skills is one thing she didn't have when she exposed her selves as supergirl. But look at these acrobats. Her skirt and cape flies like crazy with those acrobats.

Super Kick. She doesn't care where is her skirt when she is fighting, which is a good thing for both her survival and fan's pleasure.

Skirt is a good costume for a super heroine, because it discourages falling down. Cause as soon as fall down they reveal their undergarment to their enemy, and I think heroines must be hating it.

Super girl probably hates windy weather, She is ready to a big fight and suddenly wind blows up the skirt. Normal girl could quickly use hands to stop it, but a heroine cannot do it.

Only pilots and kryptonians can be lucky enough to get this view.

And finally the one you've been waiting for after you've seen the promo of episode 8. You can see the power of Astra in this punch. Forget about Supergirl's face, forget about the body, even her skirt felt the power of it and flied screaming up revealing everything underneath to the whole world.

Someone would say if you enjoy it you must be a terrible fan, because it's a little embarrassing position for their heroin. But we know she would shake it off quickly and this view is forever. She'll understand. She would say "Men" shaking her head probably smiling, but will understand. She loves us.

I read on the shows web site that there are plans to change her outfit; why mess with it? Im dreading the thought of them swapping that sexy little skirt for shorts! The only thing Id change would be the boots by making them high heeled.

I think they were just referring to doing slight modifications to the existing costume for season 2. It's similar to what happened on Flash and Arrow. The main spirit/look of the costume would be the same but just a little bit updated. I agree with you though, they gotta keep the skirt. The costume is the best part of the show. I wouldn't mind however if they changed the costume material back to a bright coloured spandex like the Helen Slater version.

She has got one sexy little body. Love the skirt and these shots of it flying up. Still waiting to see an episode where she gets tied down and the villain flips it up to reveal her leotard as he chuckles. Such a simple way to humiliate a heroine. Even if they change it to tight shorts, it will only give us all a better look at Melissa's perfect butt. The costume is definitely half the reason I watch.

I don't think they will do it in TV. Only those flashing moments. In this episode she fell down after the bomb explosion. But even that cape covered the possible up skirt. Anyway one very quick up skirt moment there, as she came down to save Winn. Whole crowd must have seen what is underneath her skirt.

It really is bizarre that nobody is making videos with this costume yet. Is there some sort of consensus that 80s Supergirl is relatively safe to use while the costume from the current TV show would be too likely to attract DC/WB's lawyers?
