RIP Amber Rayne

One of the greatest girls I have ever worked with is gone. I don't know the details but it's confirmed that she passed either yesterday or day before.

I usually don't like to make a big deal about these things but Amber was different. One of the few girls in the industry that I would chat with regularly, she truly had an interest in the superheroine and cosplay genre. She was a sweet person, upbeat and fun. I said this on my twitter but I am really going to miss her.

Good bye, sweet Gamma Girl.

Well this was going to be a surprise but I might as well tell you guys now. Amber and I were in the middle of shooting a really cool 3-parter. As a matter of fact, we wrapped part 1 up just a few days ago, which is why this all very surreal. I am not sure that I want to give away the full idea since I will most likely shoot it with someone else and I am not sure how much part 1 will make sense since we were supposed to shoot the non-peril scenes this week. I guess I will have to just fill it in with something else.

It's a shame since I basically wrote this whole story line especially for her.

The premise was Gamma Girl has lost 2 partners so she was basically going to be stripped of her identity and mind wiped and put back into general population, retired. But one of the techs at Alpha Base tips her off to the plan and she goes out to in desperation to find out what has really happened to Omega Woman or Knightman.
Anyway, I might open a discussion thread about that idea. But I'm going to leave it alone for a bit.

1) If you feel so strongly about this i would suggest just redoing the concept, with a new model, because you obviously can't use Amber any more, so that you have a complete video to offer.

2) Dedicate the clips to her, with a modest credit at the end, so in a way she's still a part of the project.

3) Offer bits of the stuff filmed with Amber for each part, so that you can share Amber's last project with the finished project.

i think you can sell her last video as a respect to her and send the profits to her family.

Sources close to Rayne told AVN that she passed away peacefully in her sleep at home either late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, though the exact cause of death will not be known until autopsy reports are completed at the end of next week. She was 31.

Wow. She was 31. How the hell does a 31-year-old suddenly die?

Too many porn stars have died because of that, I wish not one more life was lost due to that ever again.

It's probably best not to speculate at this point. Whatever the cause, the outcome remains that some of the producers and models on this board have lost a friend and colleague.

I do not understand why so many in the industry die so young. In the past the stigma was much greater but today they can become much more accepted. Yet the death toll is insane.

I'm way behind the times, but I just found out about Amber Rayne's passing. So terribly sad. I saw some selfies she had posted of herself in the Gamma Girl outfit; it looked like she was having fun. It's just terrible.
