Any suggestions for superheroiney songs? To start the ball rolling, here's a couple of quirky numbers from Britpop group The Divine Comedy.

This list needs to include The Greatest American Hero theme song.

John Williams' Superman theme naturally should be listed as well as half of the rest of his scores for major motion pictures. Most of them are soaring feel-good themes.

Oh yeah, also the song "Supergirl."

I was thinking more of songs that could be applied to the superheroine genre, rather than actual existing soundtracks.

For example, this song always sounds very Catwomany to me. (Although the 'lyrics' are pretty much just groaning sounds.)

One of these days, I'll put together a Catwoman tribute video with this one.

As I live 8mins from Bonnie Tyler - 'I need a Hero' though most of the lyrics are male hero orientated, the title could apply either way

The travel time to Bonnie's place is disturbingly precise. She'll really need a hero if you're lurking with your night vision goggles.

There's an army barracks between me and her, just to protect her. Though that said a Bond villain has moved in next door to her (- he's installing a shark pool, I kid you not) so maybe she will need a hero.
