I spent some time looking at the different possibilties for chat but I do not have the time right now to program a solution, which is what I would have to do...

There is basically only one software maker that provides exactly what we want and they offer a basic version.

Our goal is $40. I have put in 10.

If you want to donate and get it started, send an email to [email protected] and I will give you a paypal address where you can donate $5 or whatever you'd like.

Once we get it I will have the chat setup and installed.

From that point, I will look into upgrading from the basic setup unless everyone feels like the basic version is working for them.

I will be installing chat sometime this week, maybe tonight. I am working on some releases presently but I will get chat up ASAP!

Thank you again to everyone who donated. As you can see, the chat is TRYING to load at the bottom but there are issues and I have a message into tech support but they are not back until Monday. (What is this, Sears??) So hang tight everyone and we will soon have chat back...

Any luck with tech support regarding chat? I am starting to not remember the faces of my friends.

I am giving the dev's FTP access to the server today so they can take a look.

Quick update on this.

We can't give the devs access to the site without giving them access to the whole site, so I am trying to figure a way to do this. If we can't then we will have to find out another way or I will get a refund. We will get a resolution one way or the other this week.

Quick update about chat. I gave the company an ultimatum, fix it this weekend or I am filing a complaint with Paypal. The biggest problem is they are on a completely different time schedule than I am. I told them I am willing to get up at 5am to fix the issue if that will help, so I am being flexible and to their credit they are being somewhat flexible.

I would rather have chat than a refund but, I put it to you, how much longer CAN WE WAIT!?!??!

Ditto here, no chat or side topics. cleared my browser to, no affect.

Using Chrome, also tried enabling java and flash for entire site, no affect

Are you using the light or dark theme?

Ive added it to the light skin theme also. Let me know if you can see it.

Just to sound out everyone - I am using chat on my laptop but cant see/use the smileys - is that true for everyone?
Not a huge issue I know but a minor problem none the less

The boss is aware and looking for a solution

Just to draw attention to it but CHAT LIVES! LIVES, I TELL YOU!!!!!
But just like Frankenstein's monster its not perfect. There were still a few minor issues last time I checked - like adding smileys, so its still a work in progress but getting there.
I am posting this as some people did not realize that it was back at all.
So go forth and ...natter. But play nice.
If anyone does have any further issues (besides the smileys) pleas post here to let MH know.
