Gag or no gag?

Let's say hypothetically I'm trying to get a heroine humiliated by a villainess.
And the villainess puts a chained leash on the heroine and drag her around like a dog.
Would it be better if the villainess put a gag on the heroine? Or no?
If so, what kind of gag would be best?
Would it be better if the heroine can talk back to the villainess?
If so, like what?
What internal dialogue would the heroine have if she's gagged?

I don't understand gagged when the defeated heroine mutters about what's happening to her. Getting to hear her go from defiant to defeated.

Unless you're using a gag to keep your tied-up kidnap victim quiet, I don't know what value a gag has EXCEPT as a specific element of bondage fetish. But if you're going to walk her on a leash, you're probably already down that road. I think I'd rather use a (fake) choke chain and skip the gag, but that's a different game.
Internal monologue is tricky. Is it not otherwise clear what's going on? ("The metal chain against my skin is draining my powers!" "Why is this turning me on?") Is there something you've always wanted to hear a superheroine say/think? ("This is even more humiliating than that one time at band camp!") If not, I'd skip it. But maybe someone else can suggest something that will rev up viewers.
For back-talk, there's the classic petulant "you'll never get away with this," "I'll get you for this," the more feeble "please, you don't have to do this," or in this case maybe "don't let your father see you like this."
If you're playing into treating the heroine like a dog, and the villain has a crystal that makes the heroine weak, the villain could toy with the heroine with a line like, "you know, all pets should get chipped in case they get lost. What do you think, should we stick this in the back of your neck?"

I love the begging and the pleading and the asking the usual questions like what are you going to do....but for me the gag is the ultimate bondage item...it takes away that last remaining glimmer of hope for yelling for help...once its in...its on....the act of inserting it and buckling it in tight does me in....that is my kryptonite

I love both gags and dirty talk. Suggestion: have the model start the scenario with the chain around her neck and gag in her mouth as you walk her. Any gag will do. I like a simple cloth in mouth and cloth around the mouth to eliminate any conversation. I also have a couple of leather 'cock' gags that allows a little bit of conversation. Anywho...Remove the gag to allow the dialogue segment - do what dirty talk turns you on. Defiant talk that slowly turns to helpless talk is what turns me on. Then place the gag back in when done with dialogue. Doing this satisfies both worlds - and placing the gag back in on screen adds to the hotness of the scene.

No gag, but I prefer my heroine to be a mentally strong character, no crying and begging.

How about the Funnel Gag!!! NOW that is one you don't see enough of....imagine the fear of having one strapped to you, then seeing a jar of a certain thick slimy goo....well...the imagination runs wild until the captor tells the wearer exactly what it is and where its going to go!!

Gags are often difficult to use as they are often either not well applied and the actress has to keep them in place herself, or create such a distortion to the dialogue that we're better off hearing genetic "mmph-ing".
However I have enjoyed scenes involving medical, Jennings gags, adjustable metal frames that crank the jaws wide open, cause much drooling and allow cries, shrieks and screams to be delivered, as well as being both humiliating for the character, she is also vulnerable to whatever the villain/ness wishes to insert. I suspect, however, that for the actors, they may be rather too uncomfortable to wear for very long.

It occurs to me that comics are the ideal medium for letting a superheroine fetish fan have his cake and eat it too. Put in the gag, have the heroine's muffled screams and squeals in a speech bubble, then write out the "You'll never get away with this!"-type dialogue in a translation box at the bottom. Kinky and fun.

At this time I will say gagged! Simply because then they can't shove a fake or real penis in her mouth! I am so sick of mindless porn!

I wanted to vote both... Need time gagged and not, so I can give them a piece of my mind (or beg depending on the "torture").
Also... Gag has to be a ball gag

I agree with Kendra above. Gagged for a while to complete the humiliation, then no gag to allow for greater pleading when it's taken out.

I see the gaggers are winning out! I typically don't use them but I've recently stumbled across a couple that I would like to give a test drive on some captured heroines!

I think it depends on the gag. I dont like ball gags as they are too big and messy, usually making the wearer dribble all over the place (drool for you yanks) But I think a cleave gag is ok depending on the wearer.

When you've gone to all the trouble to capture the heroine you at least want to extract from the situation what works for you. If she is talking back, shut her up with a ball gag. If she is begging and pleading maybe let her talk! If the heroine is not humble in defeat then the villainess could always use her own panties as a gag to keep her quiet. And of course if she still has some fight then a ring gag or such like with a compatible sized toy to hand would help focus a heroine's mind. Horses for courses

There is a new style of funnel gag that I would love to see used. It straps on very secure....ensuring everything is good to the last drop....or drip!! Deliciously devilsh

Definitely gagged.
For the look - ball gag
For humiliation - her own thong stuffed in her mouth and taped in place
For more humiliation - large rubber penis tied in mouth
To stop her biting - ring gag. (You can work out why you want to stop her biting)
To those that want to hear what the heroine is saying, the truth is that unless your mouth is packed with cloth or sponge you can always talk around a gag. They stop you being able to shout but not talk, well in my experience anyway.
