Here to post information about the new comic Blue Mamba, which will be launching an indiegogo in the next few days.

Definitely connected with the "Comicsgate" movement (which, if you didn't know yet, is a group of comics creators and fans who promote a return to good action-packed stories and great art, while staying away from preachy, heavy-handed political messaging..and also depicting sexy women when applicable to the story). Jawbreakers and Cyberfrog, the movement's two biggest comic book fundraising successes, have minor sexy female characters (Xaxi and Heather) which have gotten some attention. There are several books being fundraised which have sexy females as main characters: Jungle Girls, Ravage: Kill All Men (by comics legend Chuck Dixon), and Rags. But all of those seem to have a retro feel, like from the 70s or even the Golden Age.

Blue Mamba is a modern sexy comic, like those published by Avatar/Boundless or Aspen. From writer Jim Healis and artist Ale Garza, the basic premise is a female assassin in a tight outfit (remember Whisper from the 80s?), so there are echoes of the likes of Executive Assistant, Lady Killer and Jennifer Blood. But Mamba (aka Clarissa Dempster) strikes its own path as well - her mission seems to be fighting subversive 'regressive-left' terror organizations like, for example, Antifa, although the sample below doesn't seem didactic at all, it's just a fact embedded into the story. And she is either lesbian or bisexual...highly seductive in any case. We'll see how the story progresses but here is the description of the series. I couldn't figure out how to upload the pdf, but here is the ashcan for the comic which is downloadable from Dropbox. The ashcan includes a scissoring scene between Clarissa and Echo, so it's definitely "for mature readers". Check it out!

Just checking in with an update on Blue Mamba. Creator Jim Healis himself posted above, although I'm not sure why there's a link to Kickstarter. He cancelled his Kickstarter campaign and restarted it a couple months ago on Indiegogo, and it raised $16,416
on a $6,000 goal, thanks partially to the support from Comicsgaters.



Now all we're waiting for is the delivery date sometime in the next month. Can't wait, hope to see good things!
