How many people are aware of the SHIP genre?

SHIP is our beloved genre. Superheroes and comics have more a part of mainstream culture. This largely due to Marvel's major success at the box office. On the other hand, DC has been a major failure with a few exceptions. Wonder Woman is currently their hottest character on the market as she is getting a squeal.
I wonder how many people are aware of SHIP. My friends watch mainstream porn and hentai. They had no idea SHIP exists until I told them. I've never seen SHIP advertised outside of SHIP sites and Twitter. So I wasn't surprised by them not knowing SHIP until I told them.
Mainstream companies rarely film videos that are considered SHIP. Axel Braun is the most well-known director for SHIP in mainstream porn. However, I argue his videos are not SHIP. His videos not contain any peril or very little peril. He produces a few SHIP movies a year and far less videos than the producers on this board.
I think the average porn customer has no idea SHIP exists and only knows Axel Braun's parodies. As some of you know, I was once one of those people. I had no clue about SHIP. Supergirl and porn were on my brain one day. I searched Google for the two terms, and discovered The Violation of Supergirl starring Alli Rae and Kendra James. I've been hooked on SHIP since that day.
I was a member on mainstream forums by Brazzers and Naughty America. None of the people on those forums ever mention SHIP. They would only mention Axel Braun. It appeared they were not aware of Kendra James, Primal Fetish, Tropic City Heroines, SHL, etc. They would only mention every other fetish related to mainstream porn.
The average porn customer does not want softcore videos. It's either hardcore or no go. If I ran into SHG Media's content, then I would not be interested in this genre. At least half of the models on SHG are hardcore pornstars. Most of their fans expect hardcore videos from them, and will not bother buying a softcore video.
I also read the comments about SHG Media at Heroine Movies. Most of the comments are very against hardcore sex, and some want five minute sex scenes. It's clear this audience has little to no interest in hardcore porn. They're probably a small minority of a pornstar's fan base. Pornstars become online famous for hardcore videos. For example, interest in Ashley Lane exploded after she became a hardcore pornstar. Her fan base expanded from softcore SHIP fans to a huge base of hardcore fans.
My comments are not a knock at SHG. They produce high quality videos as I've watched their trailers. However, their videos are PG-13 and Rated-R. A porn customer is looking for XXX and beyond.
My Twitter page is mostly about SHIP. Every week people are messaging me about finding SHIP. They notice the pictures on my page, and become interested in the genre.
