“Long you live and high you'll fly, and smiles you'll give, tears you'll cry and all you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be”
Even the comedians find their friends will eat their own. :(

Right now I am jamming out a bit of Van Halen only because it popped up on my YouTube. But I do dig VH!

You dig VH? Look at you, getting down with the kids.
You're hip, you know the jive.

Motorhead, Judas Priest, Maiden.
If you were born when VH came out, you're about 42 right now....
But quick story, I got to see them at their last concert at the Hollywood Bowl. As a kid growing up on the East Coast I had dreams of moving to California and when Van Halen came out , they helped cement that Southern California wild n free lifestyle and I also knew a bit of history about the band, where they came from, how they started, etc etc...
So when i was sitting in my seat at the Hollywood Bowl, decades later, watching them perform in basically their own backyard, in the open air, at night...you could see the hills they used to travel over driving down the 5 to get to their gigs as kids... I was thinking wow, it's really cool to get this famous and to come back to the city where you started and do your last show...
And then Davld Lee Roth same the SAME EXACT THING I was thinking, well, all riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.... very cosmic....It was a good feeling and a great show.

I'm 52, and I like them as well. It was just your use of 'dig ' that tickled me -it reminded me of my dad entering a competition for coca cola years back.
Complete the song lyric (in relation to coke)
" In the summertime when the weather is fine ..."
His offering ? " I dig coke while others dig the garden"
He didn't win. (Which is just as well as the prize was a years supply of coke and he hated coke.)
Rock on dude.

The correct answer to that lyric question is "You can step right up and touch the sky." It's from a song by Mungo Jerry. A long lost fave of mine. And I'm way older than 52.

Ahh! Ok! Right
Incidentally, Mallory Page says dig it a lot. I think it rubbed off on me

Much preferred Sammy when he was in VH! Hated David Lee Roth!
The turn up always comes with Bruce! Love me some Gaslight Anthem!

Yes but you were supposed to come up with a catchy coke related completer line, which my dad failed to do in spectacular fashion.
Bit of high quality classics work for me too - Holst 'Mars' from his 'Planet Suite' or 'Fanfare for the Common Man" by Copeland or 'O Fortuna, /Carmina Burana' by Carl Orff (the OLD SPICE advert music from the 70s)
