What constitutes a Dungeon story vs regular story?

Somebody asked me today what was the difference between a story in the regular story section here versus what would appear in the dungeon story section here and honestly, I had a hard time coming up with a solid answer. I'm not sure any of the moderators here have a firm grasp on any rules that have been set down here of late or in the distant past of this Forum.
I'm reminded of the Supreme Court judge (I forget who said it at the time) who claimed he didn't know for sure what pornography was but he recognized it when he saw it. That's how the writers here classify their work as to where they post it these days. If the writer thinks it's dark enough, they post in in the dungeon. Some have said that forced sex belongs in the dungeon but there are plenty of regular stories that include such scenes.
Does anybody have any suggestions for hard and fast rules that should be applied to stories that "must" be located in the dungeon? I'm open to suggestions.
I'm asking this since Mighty Hypnotic is suggesting a reboot to the forum and doing that might be cause to stipulate more clearly what goes where in terms of stories. At least for newly posted stories from here onward.
