The tranquility which normally surrounded the trading post on this island in the Rupununi River was shattered by gunshots as a band of four robbers attempted to make a getaway with the money they had stolen from the trading post. As the traders and customers scampered for cover...the robbers thought their escape with their ill-gotten gains was all but assured. However their hopes of escape were dashed by the sudden arrival of someone they had hoped to avoid.
