Intriguing start, but it leaves questions about your version of Supergirl. Is she actually super-powered in your version? Since she was taken down by ordinary thugs and spends her time working out, it implies not. Also since Krissy is not one of her canon aliases, maybe this is a very different heroine from the one we know?

Ernie has used this Supergirl/Krissy character in several stories on this site. She isn't invulnerable in the traditional Supergirl way but is incredibly strong and has taken on the Supergirl costume as a sort of homage to the original Supergirl. To my knowledge, Ernie has never specified in his world-building around this character what happened to the original Supergirl character that Krissy is trying to emulate.
His stories, once you accept his premise, are excellent!

Wow! Odds definitely stacked against our heroine. A bullet left and Axel nearby ready to go. Not good for Supergirl.

That seemed like a far too easy turnaround for Supergirl. I would have added an extra sentence or three describing the blows she gave out to turn the tables so easily. Just sayin'. Other than that, brilliantly detailed descriptions.

I understand your logic about her strength quotient. I've used quick turnarounds myself. Not a failed experiment. We just are reading the same data differently. Science!! LOL.
Anyway, I am curious how other readers feel about the scene. Anyone else have a reaction to share about the chapter?
