Right?
Thanks for asking my question in your last paragraph. I also several different pay levels on his Patreon which one do we have to be on to play?shevek wrote: ↑1 year agoRight?
Yeah, I haven't heard about this for quite a while. and it looks like (from the Youtube clips) that it's been at least four years in the offing.
Good for the designer! I love the vain protestations of the heroines and I would love to see more of that.
If I had one suggestion to make, it would be that they include a generic prototype of every popular superheroine
(just like they do with Catwoman) but be sure to make her at least 25% different so they can't be sued. Most of the heroines that I'm seeing
on there look like some kind of anime character, and while that might work with the video game crowd, the SHIP crowd is a bit more discerning,
I think. We need a somewhat recognizable Powergirl, Supergirl, Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Storm, Jean Grey, Black Widow, Spiderwoman and so on, and we need the ability for the costume to stay on instead of having it be "stripped". And eventually it would be nice to have the ability to program in one's own original characters.
As far as this being on Patreon, I'm kind of surprised that platform allows this kind of creator content which doesn't at all fit into what I thought was their "progressive" mission (I thought that a bunch of creators fled Patreon and went to Subscribestar because Patron censored content?) but I'm certainly glad that Patreon is being open-minded about this. Youtube seems to be allowing big hints of the adult play action as well - I mean we're seeing whippings and shockings and sex toys right on the channel.
The only other thing I noticed is that on some of the Youtube video there are comments to the effect of "I know some gay guys and lady friends who would be interested in this game if it included male characters". Literally advocating for "inclusion". People who make those comments don't understand the point of why this game is being made, and I don't even think it's worth explaining to them.
Lastly, since I don't know anything about playing video games, I'm wondering how this is going to be played. Would one have to sign up for Steam? Or is there a way to play a game like this by simply downloading it, or accessing it via Dell laptop or Apple desktop (my two computers) without subscribing to a gaming service? I miss the days of stand-up arcade console and simple home arcade systems with cartridges etc.
He had a playable version to download (he said you can't get it anywhere, so I guess it is to bypass steam TOS) which mean for the demo, you can just download them on your computer, and you can play as isshevek wrote: ↑1 year ago
