Several different sources had her pegged as the next Bond Girl, sneakly wrote: ↑10 months agoIt is a guy talking on his drive to work. Sweeney is one of the current "it" girls, but they haven't announced the Bond actor, this is just so much hot air. Sweeney is producing and starring in the updated (remake?) of Barbarella. That might be of more interesting, since that seems to be moving forward.
I bet they did.Dazzle1 wrote: ↑10 months agoSeveral different sources had her pegged as the next Bond Girl, sneakly wrote: ↑10 months agoIt is a guy talking on his drive to work. I don't watch any movie because of who is starring in it.shevek wrote: ↑10 months agoI'm not a huge Bond fan, although I know the lore. My stance is that I'd rather see her as Barbarella, provided that remake delivers her full-on
sexiness and doesn't tiptoe around. But if she gets hired to do both franchises, all the better.
I don't watch movies *just* to see Sweeney, per se, but she was really hot in a bikini in "Dead Ant".
The era of wokeness is over. The college professors lost the culture war. It's time to go full throttle cheesecake!
The point of doing Barbarella is that it is really good property. She was a really forward leaning comic in the 1960s, Jane Fonda created an iconic Sci-fi heroine. It might make her a ton of money and put up to the next level, or it might be Showgirls and tank her career. I hope it does well. I loved the comic and the movie.Dazzle1 wrote: ↑10 months agoI don't watch any movie because of who is starring in it.shevek wrote: ↑10 months agoI'm not a huge Bond fan, although I know the lore. As far as Barbarella what would be the point for her or any name performer star to do essentially soft porn?
If they remake Barbarella, I would rather have it done in this genresneakly wrote: ↑10 months agoThe point of doing Barbarella is that it is really good property. As for her learning to shoot. It may be a hobby. It may be for self defense. It may be for a particular role. Plenty of actors take up dance, martial art or fancing because they think those skills will ultimately help their careers. I am sure she would be on the short list for women in to appear in the Amazon Prime Bond movies. I just don't think the guy driving to work while podcasting has any inside knowledge.

Randy Moore as Barbarella and Christina Carter as the Grand Tyrant
