Re: Supergirl Season Five
What is that costume? I thought the new suit had no red below the waist, except for the skirt, and the old suit didn't have blue legs.

Re: Supergirl Season Five
I was hoping the old costume would last part of the season, but screenshots of the first episode are out, and show her in the new costume. :(

Re: Help writing OC story
Echoing what others have said here, I don't think you need to start with the origin story. I struggled with the same question with my character. I ultimately had so much trouble keeping the minutiae of the backstory straight when writing the non-origin story, that I decided to go back and write the ...

Re: Valora Decomissioned (Standalone Story)
Great stuff as usual, Damselbinder. And you continue to be the master in your descriptions of characters. There's so much more to your stories, but that alone would keep me reading.

Looking forward to diving into this one. I think Centurion and Damselbinder are the masters at describing their characters.

Re: The Perils of Valora 1: America, F*** Yeah! - Now Complete!
I’ve only just started digging into this one, but I like the setting (even though I normally go for universes where the heroine is unique, the premise here is pretty cool), and Valora’s personality really shines through. Looks like I’ve got some catching up to do.

What is your writing workflow / tools?
As times I've wondered if I'm way too slow in my writing and editing process, and maybe sometimes suck the life out of parts of my stories by overediting them. I'm curious how others write their stories, and thought it could be a source of inspiration to hear from others. To get things going, here's...

Re: Dr. Dominator's Story Links
Thanks for posting this - very helpful. Maybe I'm the only one, but I'd also be interested in knowing from the descriptions how extreme each one is. The real extreme sexual stuff isn't usually my cup of tea. I can get the sense from a few of the descriptions, but not all. Peaking at a few, I do love...

Re: Supergirl: Smothered Steel - Updated 31-3-19
Woah, that was hot. That story is Exhibit A in how a story can be sexy, without explicit and violent sex. You also did a very nice job setting the scene. I love how you described the city, and even the office. It made it very easy to picture it in my mind. And of course your descriptions of the char...

Re: Supergirl: Smothered Steel
Wow, fantastic start. Some action, but with a real human element to it (well, with two aliens perhaps human isn't the right word, but you get my drift). That, coupled with how well you describe your characters (I have to confess I'm a bit envious of your ability there) and get the plot going, has se...

This is a nicely complex, well written story that made me care about Diana (both of them). Any more on the way?

Re: Do You Care About the Stories Section?
I think Abductorenmadrid and others hit the nail in the head with the problem with a single rating system. The biggest problem with "good/bad" ratings on a site like this is that so many of us have very niche tastes in this genre. It would be more helpful (to me at least) to program a syst...

Re: Do You Care About the Stories Section?
I've been thinking about this thread, and about my comment and the comments of one or two others that pointed out how we all have our unique interests. I went back to try to find some stories that met my interests, and it was a bit hard to sort through the many stories here just because of the volum...

Re: Do You Care About the Stories Section?
I can say I appreciate the feedback, too. I'm guilty of not reading as many of the other stories as I should, although that is changing lately as I just got through a super busy patch. My interests, though, are a bit niche for the site in the sense that I don't typically go for stuff that is too ext...

How do you refer to your heroine when she's in costume?
I'm curious how other writers refer to the heroine in their stories when she is in costume. The reader knows her real identity, so do you exclusively say, "Jane walked down the hall?" Or when she's in costume, do you refer to her only by her superheroine name ("Superlady walked down t...

Re: A Supergirl - Humbled
Hopefully I'm up to the challenge. Ha, I seriously doubt that will be a problem for you. I think your first two stories gave enough of a taste of the underpinning of the character and your ability to weave things together that you definitely have it all there (it wouldn’t have interested me as much...

Finally able to get back in here, and was thrilled to read this. Very strong action again, while making us really care for the character. I'm looking forward to the next installment, and learning more about her.

That was fantastic, from both the way you write combat, and the emotional investment I felt with the character. I found myself cheering her on. I can't wait for more.

Re: A Supergirl - Humbled
Really well done. It had action, while weaving together her powers (and process of learning how to be a heroine) and their relationship. I can't think of another story that has juggled those two things at once. Looking forward to more.
