Re: Be “The” Superheroine Casting Guru
She already did a great job as Valkyrie, but I'd have cast Tessa Thompson as Wonder Woman. Gal Gadot is a beautiful woman and she certainly looks the part - indeed, she probably looks the part better than Tessa Thompson - but Tessa Thompson has excellent screen presence, charisma, and I think can p...

Be “The” Superheroine Casting Guru
We have all watched superheroine movies and thought, ‘They should have had Her playing superheroine X’. I feel confident in saying movie production companies could have done better casting jobs. Of course, there were exceptions, for example: Helen Slater as Supergirl, Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman (T...

I prefer my heroine's - Athletically Slender or Lean and Mean. Not skinny, but muscle tone and definition without being overly bulky. To me, there is something sexy about a deceptively slender girl taking out 8 – 10 muscle bound thugs.

I totally agree with you. I have always thought there was something special about going to the movie theatre, seeing the previews, the smell of that delicious popcorn, the communal feel that you and a bunch of total strangers are sharing in the experience of the enjoyment of a film, just a lot of a...

I was a regular movie-goer for many years. I also worked as a projectionist for a while why in school. I would always prefer new movies on the big screen. Watching at home is a real convenience but it doesn't match the fun of going to the theater.

Re: In 2021, Do You Care If Your Superheroines Models Have Tattoos?
I have seen some Great body art. But, when it comes to portraying a superheroine, tattoos are a deal breaker for me. I don't mind tattoos on the bad girls. I think it can really enhance their character's persona. But superheroines have a different standard. I won't begrudge anyone their preferences....

Basically, this stuff doesn't sell. The audience for it is tiny, and incredibly niche. And most of the people who applaud the existence of these characters do so as armchair activists - they do not buy comics. I can appreciate and do applaud the attempt to create, Kudos! Say, they made Nick Fury black in the movies when he's traditionally been white, didn't they? Strange. I don't remember anyone complaining about that. I wonder, if it’s so great to have an androgynous or diverse female as a lead superheroine, why can’t they create one and support them?
