Sony Pictures is developing a spinoff movie based on the Marvel comic, ‘Silk” a Korean-American female superheroine, Cindy Moon.
Amy Pascal, producer of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and Venom, is expected to produce.
Silk, created by writer Dan Slott and artist Humberto Ramos first appeared in April 2014 in The Amazing Spiderman #1 but her full debut came in Amazing Spiderman #4. She was bitten by the same radioactive spider that bit Peter Parker and gained the ability of superspeed, shooting webs from her fingertips and her own “Silk Sense” which is an enhanced version of Spider Sense.
Tiffany Espensen played a bit part in Spiderman:Homecoming (Also produced by Pascal) as “Cindy” and the internet blew up at the possibility that this is actually Cindy Moon.
As of yet, no director, actor or writers have been announced.
Will update as more information becomes available.
