Greetings,
As my first topic I would like to ask: do we will never see any Jim Weathers' O-Girl movie ever again ? And if that's the case it will be because the recently open exploitation of the Batgirl character under the rules for parody and fair use ?
To me O-Girl always look like an easy way to circumvent some cease and desist practices in a way that make the character awesome and almost totally original rather than just a 60's Batgirl's rip off. She was never meant to wear a wig, a cowl, hood, cape or even a mask, she never was the female version of some famous prudish up tight male superhero neither was some type of sidekick suddenly trying to fly solo no matter how many times she get capture and leave behind in a most certainly deadly trap oddly failing to finish her every single time.
We don't see anything coming about her in a longtime and I wonder if her time is long gone since the Batgirl movies appears to be sreadily growing in demand and appeal over the years since DC Comics and Warner Brothers no longer care about their own properties previous history.

Keeping in mind the lack of interest from the original content provider my next question is : it's okay if the consumer ask for another provider and pay him/her for the customized ripped off version of a popular character that is already a sort of rip off version of another even more popular character like lets says
"Dear Mr Z-Pack esquire, please made a custom video about GoGirl, a classic scantly clad voluptuous superheroine dressed in a bright purple and yellow fetish oriented fabric that I will be gladly able to provide for your generic underground class 36DD cup, 5'6 to 6 feet tall, white skin (with no tattoos if available or even possible), long natural waved hair (any tone between brunette and blonde is fine, no need to cut options) of any age and accent orientation that reasonable understandable as english and sounds even better while the actress is wearing a gag or performing non vocal action sequences. Budget is no problem and I am thinking about asking Diana Knight to play as the generic special guest feline villain. Please respond and tell me whatever you need as soon as possible.
Love and kisses, Mr. Big Money Pants."
There are any chance of receive an e-mail with a cease and desist message concerning a custom made video like that ?

Oh forget what I said. Was a silly question anyway. Somebody else don't just did that a long time ago but if asked nicely and paid for they will probably tweak their own product and do it all over again.

Slightly different topic inside the same issue first for the creator of O-Girl, Mr Jim Weathers, and next for the audience :
There are any original O-Girl costumes and props that survive the onslaught of time and production duties available for sale or auction ? And How much the fans, collectors and manual labor enthusiasts would be willing to pay for an original that was used by Christina Carter on screen ?

O-girl trapped in time was my first intro into many things...lezdom, hogties, forced orgasm, and the purple catsuit...then came the batgirl pattern cutter episode...all in one forced sitting of cosplay and bondage at a dragon con...what an adventure o-girl has sent me on...I love Weather's work!!!

That reminds me the fact about the first O-Girl. Christina Carter was not the first to wear the iconic generic purple costume with yellow useless and yet fashion utility belt safely legally knock off of some mainstream superheroine from a major publisher that did not existed in the comics before her debut on the tv show where she did not share any space for her name in the title.
Andrea Neal was the first O-Girl but Christina Carter, the second O-Girl, made the character the iconic underground character we all praise and love. So I can cease to wonder about how many costumes O-Girl wear through the whole series ?

Would you pay for any other actress if you could cast another one to play O-Girl ? And in case of "Yes", who ?

Angela Sommers would make a perfect O Girl
Old enough to know better, but still young enough not to care!

That would not be a little redundant since she already played as Yvone Craig's Batgirl ?thecat wrote:Angela Sommers would make a perfect O Girl

I kind of mentioned this before but never really got a direct answer, but at one point I asked if it would be easier to just give CC the OG costume and let her do her thing with it, seeing that it would remove the booking and travel fees or whatever from the equation, and get a percentage of the sales from her. Anyway.....

I praise and love everything Jim Weathers did, does and might be about to do but except for Batgirl - Helping Hands he didn't delivery anything else about superheroines lately.

Yeah, I love Jim Weathers work, but he has really slowed down on the Superheroine front, it seems. Shame. But maybe he just isn't inspired right now and will do something awesome soon. I mean, seriously, it must be pretty tough to keep coming up with new stuff when you've done as much of it as he has.

Ladies & Gentleman, start you Credit Card Engines. Can we bribe an artist to do something awesome or money is just a minor convenience for a true artist ? I suggest we pay someone else to do the next O-Girl movie in order to make Jim Weathers get out from his BatCave and do his own that we will most certainly buy for a ridiculous amount of money and vice versa. Either way the audience always win and Jim will always be the best no matter what, except if he does nothing of course but we can wait..... a little bit.

Honestly, rather than bribing someone else to do one, you could just bribe me directly. Regretfully, this is all about money. Doing O-girl correctly is really, really expensive - and unfortunately, due to the piracy problem that has destroyed the business, it is basically impossible to recoup the investment.

So that means O-Girl is drifting into the realm of public domain ? And are your set pieces, props, furniture, clothes, boots, accessories, etc... available for purchase at a reasonable price yet to be defined by auction ?

Or you could commission Mr. Weathers to do one, so he'd make a profit.

I don't say for a Michelangelo kind of artist what she should do with a huge piece of marble, maybe for a Da Vinci - preferable if you don't pay him before delivery - but never a Michelangelo.DonShip wrote:Or you could commission Mr. Weathers to do one, so he'd make a profit.
I think i am going to buy a handycam for my self and a bright purple catsuit for my wife. To the Kinky-mobile, time to go shopping.

We seriously need a crowdfunding web platform for fetish videos. I would never be able to afford a custom video of O-Girl quality, but I'd happily drop a few hundred dollars into one if I can have some input (poll-based is fine) and some nice extras.
This is not a bad idea. Do any of the major crowdfunding sites have rules against using them for porn?Darak wrote:We seriously need a crowdfunding web platform for fetish videos. Didn't they made a crowdfunded Supergirl movie a few months ago ? I remember there was a pool scene involved.TIEnTEEZ wrote:This is not a bad idea. Yes, I believe that same producer has made several of those. Although I'm not sure if they qualify as porn. More like just peril, I think. But I was thinking about this, and from what I understand, in order to be successful in terms of sales, a video has to include a lot of different fetishes - it has to have a broad appeal. So whenever I order a custom, I tailor it to my particular fetishes, so I know it's not going to sell very well and so it costs more to make. But what if you got a group of people together, each with a different fetish (and some creative talent) and had each person write one scene of a story focusing on a particular fetish. For example, a pretty simple plot outline would be:FallOutDweller wrote:Didn't they made a crowdfunded Supergirl movie a few months ago ? Start with a fight scene or two
Then move on to some bondage
Then finally mind control
I personally don't have much interest in the fight scenes, nor the mind control, but I like to think I can write some pretty excellent bondage stuff, 'cause that's my thing.
