never a dodgers fan, but have the utmost respect for hall of fame mgr. passed away today of heart failure. he had a great sense of humor. bob costas said lasorda once told him his wife said "tommy i beleive you love baseball more than me", to which lasorda replied, "thats true, but i love you more than basketball football and hockey". r.i.p. tommy

In an era now where MLB managers come and go, get so precious little time to turn their teams around, the fact that Lasorda managed the Dodgers for 20 seasons is truly a remarkable accomplishment. Lasorda certainly was a character.
