It does seem quite relevant and fun. Hope they don't get in trouble, though.

Jeff Hicks from the World Class Bullshitters Youtube channel ran a campaign a couple years ago for a comic called "Stealing Solo" which was about kidnapping Harrison Ford and holding him for ransom in a basement, and I think he might have gotten in trouble
with the Lucasfilm or Disney people because of it. Not sure if that campaign fulfilled or not, but here it is:

www.indiegogo.com/projects/stealing-sol ... n-s-parody#

(you can clearly see the campaign when you go to the link, but Indiegogo refuses to connect to it and show a graphic, leading me to think that it didn't happen after all)

Not sure if a "porn parody" of prominent DC and Marvel superheroes could simply pass muster just because it is porn?
I mean, looking at the art and content, it's quite clear they are using the actual characters and calling them by their actual names ("Darkseid", "Lois Lane", etc.). But I guess if Axel Braun can get away with it on film, these guys can do it with comics?

Guess we'll see. I'll probably back this soon!

The Alex Braun porn parodies are well known and use Marvel/DC characters. I don't know exactly what the rules are - where copyright starts to be infringed. Think it has something to do with whether it legally qualifies as a "parody". In other areas, the law looks more harshly on content for a prurient interest, but here, it's a legal defense!

I expect how the law gets applies depends largely on what the IP holder wants to pursue. In that case, I guess this would mean the Star Wars IP owner (Disney), as well as Harrison Ford.
