Instead of buying a prefab halloween adventure costume I decided to buy a patch, then all the individual pieces, attach the patch and build up. a pair of green gloves and a pair of red chucks and we have ourselves a Robin, and whats more pleasing (to me anyway) is that it was made from scratch and unless someone else decideds to go through the exact same process its original to ourselves.
I really am very happy with the way it came out.

As of now this will fit Evangeline, Olga, Jamie daniels, Gigi, and Marlo.

we are buying another set in extra small to fit Lily Hockasho and others who are tiny!

I like the bright red colors, very comic book ish, but i'm wondering if you might go with a more flattering cut for the tunic.

If it's not too late, maybe consider a red tunic with a 'V' neck collar which might be a little more flattering to the model, and/or some padding/support to fill out her figure. Maybe a wide belt or corset, to help cinch the waist for more accentuated curves.

The green turtle neck under shirt doesnt look right to me, just going with the red top, and Green bottoms (bikini bottoms, panties maybe?) might help too.

Mind you, trying to make helpful suggestions, not start a flame war.

If you can find something suitable on amazon please post a link and i will 100% look into it. I might buy it for the second costume just to have a different version.

The green turtleneck is actually a one piece leotard so it covers the tiop and bottom.
I didnt include that clearly in the picture because there were no tights being worn and without the suntan pantyhose it makes the legs look weird especially since Evangeline has no reallyhad much sun this summer so she's pale as aghost.

I am interested in your idea and if you can submit a link to an amazon product i will be more than happy to look into it.

And thank you for the suggestion. its appreciated.

I like it. It is very form fitting and tight. Not saggy at all.

A quick search on something from amazon yielded this...

Which is pretty close to what you used, but with a V-Neck.

If you want to go with something more stylish, I would suggest this one. Which has a really wide V neck (to show lots of sexy skin) and interesting, but subtle folds of fabric on the front to keep the costume from looking too flat.

Try matching it with a high cut bikini shorts/panty look (so that when the red tunic is pushed up you show off some nice bare tummy shots)

Match with this belt...

It's a stretch fabric belt to allow it to fit more than one model, and the round buckle on front is great as is, or perfect for putting a heroine's emblem.

The 'stretch' fabric shold also assure a snug fit, and help cinch the waist a little creating a more flattering figure.

If... I was making a Robin Costume from scratch from Amazon, something along these lines is what I might go with.

this first one is a good call. will look into it. the second one doesnt work because there is no place for the patch except on the tit.
and thats another thing. this will be used by several models. I have to take into account their breasts while chosing.
the one i already chose works with all size breasts. the ones you suggest will not work with smaller breasts. larger ones yes, but smaller boobs will look wrong.

As for the pants.... way too short.
Try putting pantyhose under those and you're gonna have a bad time. i twould look terrible.
I prefer the one peice because it looks more heroine like to me and not a sexy costume
also my personal; preference is tights and pantyhose. if the costume doesnt allow for tights or pantyhose then its passed immediately.
I do bare leg for customs but when shooting my own stuff i choose pantyhose.
why?
because whenever i shoot bare legs they sell really bad.

I do really like that first one though and oit would work for several different size boobs so i can almost guarantee that ones getting bought.

thats very nice.
I should hire you to construct all our heroines. this works not only for Robin but for powergirl as well. we made a belt for her from scratch and it didnt really work out well....no one really noticed because when Diana Knight is wearing a costume you dont really notice the costume

Oh... if you're going to use a cape consider a shorter cape (2' length or there abouts), nothing more irritating to a viewer than having a cute model, and great costume constantly covered and obscured with a too long cape (like the common calf length capes)

Even if you have to modify your own, it shouldn't be too hard to trim one and sew a hem.

I got a lot of grief from people with Evangelines Purple latex batgirl because they wanted to see the cape but the cape was made for conventions not for shooting. when shooting this massive cape would constantly get in the way of the action and a few people bitched about it but when i removed the cape for shoots they bitched about it being missing (in some cases they were the same people)
i cant cut the cape without having it done professionally and it would cost over 200 bucks so i just left the cape alone.
I hear ya about capes. shorter ones always better than longer ones..... or to quote the incredibles:

I never understood the issue. Perhaps use something like this for Robin.

Depending on how tall the model is, it shouldn't cover too much of her body. I would NOT use it as a 'tie string' cape though.

I would suggest pining the tie strings to the collar of the tunic. (A few stitches of thread, it doesn't have to be too secure, might be good for it to even be 'fragile' so that a villain can tear it off her during filming.

You can also consider tying it 'under' the costume. Do a little sewing and extend the length of the tie strings so that you can draw them under her armpits and you can secure them behind her (like a bikini string). The knot is under the tunic (if the tunic is open backed, it'll still certainly be under the cape).

Hope that helps?

agreed.
Our supergirl costume came with string ties and what i ended up doing was curtting off the strings and gluing velcro to the inside of the suit on either side of the neck, then attackeed velco to the inside of the cape. when the model wears the suit we fold over the neck and attach the velco and then flip the neck back over making the cape look like its tucked in but can easily be removed during shoots and used to choke the hero, etc.

several reasons.
I wanted to construct an original suit, not a "sexy robin" and i didnt want to spend the usual $800- $1500 for a custom made suit.

Also I wanted to have it layered so that we could shoot versions where the bottom green was destroyed for forced orgasms, penetration, exposed bvreasts without damaging the full suit, otherwise we would have to remove the suit entirely to shoot these items. Ultimately I am part of the group that believes once the costume is removed you are shooting porn, not superheroine fetish so we need the costume to stay on.

having said all that if you send me links to alternatives i am open to checking them out.
As for the cape.... its been discussed already and we will be making a tucked in yellow cape.

This subject line of this thread makes you sound like Dr. Frankenstein. "The new Robin is constructed! She's alive! She's alive, and really hot!"
