So here's some conclusive proof about how badly Marvel is doing in their sales.

Marvel Comics approached Ollie's discount outlets - the same chain that bought up a lot of the Toys R Us leftover toy inventory - to sell them
250,000 graphic novels and comics. Here's the video from Clownfish TV that reveals the story:

I checked out the locations of all of the Ollie's, and a lot of them are in the Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania area, and in Eastern Ohio. But there are also plenty of outlets in Michigan, Indiana, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Virginia, and at least one in NY State.

Look for these to drop any minute because there's already a circular out advertising it. Supposedly these Marvel items are 80% off.

Well looking at their films' success I wouldn't have suspected any of this. Are they going this bad?

The comic books are basically source material for movies and TV series. Sales of comic books have been declining for decades.

Marvel Comics, not the movies of course. Sales of comics across the board are the worst they've ever been, but Marvel has been the one that's been dumping lots of comics into shops that wind up in the dollar bin. They can only 'overship' so many, though, to small LCS establishments and so they're left with a ton that have to be unloaded somewhere, and there it is.

Get to your nearest Ollie's for the graphic novels deals of a lifetime!
Here's a video from World Class Bullshitter where he takes the time to scan two stores' worth of stock in depth.
Some books were also unloaded from DC and Zenescope but the vast majority are Marvel titles.
