Your videos have high production values. They look beautiful. Will you produce hardcore content in the future?

Thank you! We try hard to push the envelope where we can even if that leads to much regret in the editing department!GeekyPornCritic wrote: ↑5 years agoYour videos have high production values. They look beautiful. Will you produce hardcore content in the future?
While I won't speak for the rest of our crew I would personally love to do a hardcore shoot sometime, but there are a lot of complications involved with that sort of production. Both legally and commercially as our distributor (whom we have certain arrangements with) does not distribute hardcore films. Would also need to find actors and actresses up for that as most of our talent is used to the softcore style filming.
Maybe some time in the future though! I think it would be super fun.

The continuity is great fun!
But... it definitely creates complexities. From a script writing perspective it gives a lot of meat to work with in terms of character motivations and relationships that can naturally generate compelling dialog. Of course, it also means having to keep timelines in order. Sometimes a single character will exist (or perish) in multiple timelines. Even more complicated will be when multiple actresses play the same character! There has been a plot thread that started as far back as the (crude) Orb movie I made in my baby producer year, and on through the Skullion series to help cope with this though. Namely the reality hopping portals the Orb creates.
Customs are a different beast all together. I am /very/ hands on, personally, with the customs process. If you decide to work with our team, we're going to talk about the script as much as you will allow me to. When possible, this means I can try to either outright include it (In the case of VENTURE!) or find a way to alter it (with the custom financer's blessing) to fit into a continuity narrative. For instance, Scarlet: Betrayed originally had nothing to do with Scarlet. It was a stock agent character... but the author worked with me to adapt it to canon characters to create a Dark Timeline offshoot that allowed fans of Reunion to see how their famed "divorce" went down. (If with more lethal results than the Prime Universe).
That is thrilling, fun stuff! Super exciting!
Now eventually there will be customs that simply do not fit into /any/ narrative or might outright request for whatever reason not to be included in the Luciaverse. These of course will be respectfully omitted, but thankfully it hasn't come to that yet.
Thanks for giving me an excuse to unload about the continuity aspects! They really are a huge part of my personal enjoyment.

As for what surprised me about running my own shop? Jeeze. Just the sheer scope of these things from a managerial perspective. The legalities. The paperwork. The logistics of hiring and travel, equipment/prop shipping, costume creation, set creation. It's bonkers! As of this writing I have been awake for roughly 60 hours with only a four and a one hour nap to carry me through an insane three day shoot spree featuring multiple movies, sets, actors, etc. It is more responsibility and work than I could have ever imagined looking at it from the outside.
But you know what?
I love it!
Thanks for the questions Imagineer. I am a huge fan of your posts. They are entertaining and well thought out; I always find myself keeping an eye out for them.

It was a few different things, shot depending. Our "Goo Mistress" on set specializes in slimes and goos and blood etc, and she had four different concoctions on set that day. I believe most of it was a... birthing lubrication for horses. We had gallons of it, and it was an absolute nightmare on set! We managed to pull a rope of it about 12 feet long when testing it. Insane stuff.
Was a long. Messy day!

Coco is a champion among champions who fears nothing in this world or the next. It was pretty amazing, yes.
