I picked up the peril version of this video. I have purchased almost all of the Supernova videos. Melody is wonderful. Sadly she is not given much to work with here. Strangle fans rejoice, Blue has created yet another video where a third of it is spent doing your thing. If you like anything else, sorry its just there to check the box. The reactions to other blows are lacking. The story is at best misplaced in the order or supernova releases. Maybe this story (and its a stretch to call it that), should have come somewhere between Supernova Prime Alien Dawn and Supernova Resurrection.
The use of a white background for the video was just odd. Is this some sort of weird dream sequence or something? The action in the video was like a checklist. Did we do this yes did we do that yes. In the end, I felt this video was uninspired. I understand that you need to make money and you have a new way to make your movies and I have participated in that funding strategy in the past. You specialize in death fetish, Choke, shoot, stab you own it. Backbreakers you do that too. Other fighting aspects are just a way to get from point a to point be as soon as possible. Hoping that the next installment is worth the money because in my selfish opinion. This one was not.

Much as I love Melody, the lack of substantial action and excess of strangling means it's not for me.

Well, the above comments are certainly the exception. On other forums and in emails and pm's received, they are loving Melody's return as Supernova, which story takes place in perfect chronology following her defeat and the rebirth of Supernova in "Supernova Prime 4: Prisoner Exchange".

Fair enough, especially since I'm a fan of both Melody and Bluestone. But every video won't be for everyone and sometimes the ratio of strangling to action is too much for some of the fans.

Understood, but this was a group custom, and those who contributed got exactly what they asked for. There were no contributors from this forum directly, though lots of members here are also members on other forums.

We are putting together a non-custom video to be filmed next month featuring Supernova vs. Dark Nova, and it will be more along the lines of what you're looking for.
