Who does the best customs?

I've had a wide range of experiences ordering custom videos, and quite frankly, most of them have not been great.

I've gotten outright rejections. I've had many cases where the studio fails to answer my e-mails. I've been blatantly ripped off. I've gotten price quotes higher than a semester of college. I've had delays and cancellations. I've gotten videos where the best parts of my script were simply left out. And I've had one producer take my money and then completely forget about my custom (although I did get a refund).

And I'm sure we've all read about EvilBilly and his experiences with She-Who-Shall-Not-be-Named.

The best custom I got was from Primal (Callie Calypso in SuperHeroine Revenge, in case anyone is interested), and they recently announced that they are not taking any new custom orders for a while.

There's a void in my life that needs to be filled.

So I thought I'd ask the community... who makes the best customs?

Who have you had good experiences with?

Who gave you exactly what you wanted and more, exceeding your expectations, and all for a reasonable price?

I think the better question would be who will do my custom? Every producer has their own styles and might not have the sets, FX, or models to fill the custom in question. I think "best custom" all depends on what your looking for. I have zero experience, but I know a producer who is currently looking for new script that has offered to give the film to the client free if she likes it. TienTEEz I feel you pain because i agree with you The best custom I got was from Primal (Callie Calypso in Mighty Girl -Mind Controlled) and I am so happy with it and it seems that so many others are too. I don't know any studio that does what primal does.

What you're specifically looking for will have a big influence on who can do it best. Maybe you should start by stating what you're looking for.

Yeah I guess it depends on what you want.I've only had 2 customs (Velvet Fantasies and Evangeline) and they both met and surpassed what I asked.But of course that depends on the type of video you need.Jacquelyn Velvets doesn't do nudity or simulated sex scenes which at the time I didn't mind because she's so damn gorgeous.Otherwise the custom was brilliant(Cheerleader Confessionals)and Evangeline was also brilliant(Sleepy Wonder)
I would get a custom with both NGC and HL Superheroines but they are both to expensive for me.Which is to bad since they have the hottest girls IMO.

I've had 4 customs done; two of them were from Velvet's Fantasies, and coincidentally they were the best ones! She was quick to respond to emails and she kept me up-to-date on what was going on. Money is tight right now, but if it wasn't I'd order another one in a heartbeat.
VF's customs are very reasonably priced IMO, the video quality is great, and you can tell she really puts effort into her films. But she is somewhat limited in fight choreography, shooting locations, and special effects, which I assume is the reason for the price difference vs the bigger production studios like HL or NGC. VF is more about sleepy/KO/mind control vs superheroine combat, but I wanted a video that had Ms. Marvel getting knocked out over and over again, and that's what she delivered!
That said, I absolutely cannot wait for Tiffany Chase's Ms Marvel based costume to make its debut, I'm sure Logan and co will do an amazing job!

I have been buying superheroine videos for almost 30 years and have only quite recently started entering into the custom realm.

My first was with Tyler at PFTP as I just wanted to test the water with a simple and reasonably priced custom and it was a great experience with the video giving everything I wanted although Tyler did insist on going topless LOL! which was not a request of mine BUT she kept in regular contact with me and on the day the filming was done she sent an email titaled "Amazonia is defeated" and told me how long the editing should take and enclosed a few stills which was an awesome touch and something I have yet to have repeated.

I then approached a couple of ladies who were very odd in their responses, one simply told me that she had no girls strong enough to beat her down and the other just showed no interest when I sent her some stills of a belly punching video so they both came to nothing.

My next result was a much higher quality video which was all great apart from the belly punching sequence which was basically a loop, there may have been issues with time and the actress but overall it was a good experience and I would return if they use an actress I wanr.

Next came a group custom with HL TTD and I was blown away by what they did for me for such a relatively small cash injection the scenes I requested are probably my favourite scenes ever.

I had another good quality custom which took 13 months to arrive but the producer was always in touch and even gave me a few free movies in the meantime and there were injury troubles and my first choice actress dropped out but the end result was very good just lacked the belly punching I requested and the weather ruined my outfit choice but I am already in talks for another custom so all is good there.

I am currently having a custom with Alex Davod and another input with Heroine Legends and I am sure they will both be excelent as Alex talked me through her script and ideas taking all my ideas and input and sent me good pics of outfits that fitted me criteria, getting the full script before the shoot was a great bonus and really made me think I would get exactly what I ordered and the quality of HL speaks for itself.

I would be very interested to hear how thing go with Alex David. I've been thinking about ordering from her ever since she announced her customs page. Her latest video was really exceptional and if she can put that kind of quality into a custom, I would be very happy.

Yes, I agree that the content you want is important when choosing a studio to make a custom.
I was hoping that this thread might become a source of information where folks would describe their experiences, what custom they ordered, what content they asked for, and what they got.

Also... I think a big part of ordering a custom is trust. Customer service is a huge part of the process. Regardless of what kind of content you want, you want to avoid studios that are not responsive to e-mails, don't give you what you ask for, or are just generally untrustworthy.

Anyway, I personally like bondage and sexual peril, possibly some torture thrown in, and I'm not all that interested in nudity or hardcore.

So if anyone would like to recommend some great producers who do that kind of stuff, I would appreciate it.

Also... a lot of my customs are apparently too complex and difficult for some producers to handle. For example, I sometimes write scripts with more than one or two performers. My latest script is about a sort've evil game show host who captures a heroine and a villainess and forces them to play a sex game for their lives. The one studio I've sent it to so far basically told me they can't do it because they can't get two good models together at the same time for a whole day's shooting.

Any suggestions about who I should send it to next?

Sorry TnT I really should have spelled out PFTP Porn for the peope as they are not very often shown in Clips for sale these days and HL is Heroine Legends.and TTD is Transition to Darkness of which parts one two and 3a were given to me for contributing and contained Lady Wonder (Kelly Kula) who I had requested extended fight scenes with stomach punching and boy did she deliver.

My content has never gone beyond hard fighting and nudity never asked for sexual content which may explain why I don't have to pay the earth for a custom I want.

To be perfectly honest, the whole gameshow thing doesn't even really appeal to me all that much. I wrote the script with two very specific models in mind, but I've been told that they are both too expensive and so the video cannot be made in any kind of cost-effective way, which is sad, but I understand the economic reality.

The thing is, I worked really hard on the script. Took me several months of re-writes and half a dozen or so drafts. So now I kinda want to get it made just on general principal so all that effort won't have been wasted. I also think it will be pretty cool, just as a bondage, torture, superheroine vid, of course. But the game show stuff is almost incidental.

I went back and forth with them for several weeks. Basically, they said there was no way to schedule the models I wanted at the same time, and even scheduling one of them for a full day would be prohibitively expensive to the point where they simply would not be able to do it because they would never be able to make a profit, even if they charged me an outrageous price.

They gave me a list of models that they might be able to work with to get it done at a reasonable price. I have them half a dozen suggestions about possible combinations, then they kinda backpedaled and said no, it still won't work.

Frankly, the idea of pooling doesn't seem like it works. I've been watching the thread here on these forums about the Mother of All Customs and it's been ongoing for over a year, if not longer, and as far as I can see, it's in no danger of even beginning production any time soon. I'd be amazed if it ever sees the light of day. And I don't have the energy to try to organize contributors, nor the desire to start modifying my scripts to please other people.

The idea of collaborating on a script with another writer is interesting, though. There are certain things that a video should have, but that I just don't care enough to write in detail. Like, most superheroine vids need a fight scene or two. But I'm just not all that interested in trying to write one, 'cause it's just not my thing. So my scripts often say things like: "A fight scene ensues and the villain capture the heroine" and I let the producer work out the details. But I could see how teaming up with someone who likes to write fight scenes could work where I write the bondage / torture stuff and they write the fights.

While I wouldn't say I make the best customs, I know there are plenty of editing tricks I could still learn however I will say my clients have never been upset. Ofcourse I don't do every custom that comes my way, but I respond promptly to emails and am upfront and what we can do and what we can't do.

Given the bad experiences I've heard here, I think I've been fairly lucky. I've only had one that didn't turn out that well (stop responding to emails), which was unfortunately the one I paid most for (Psycho Thrillers).

But I've had good experiences with Primal, Cory Chase, Randy Moore, Chris B and PKF. All of which I can recommend based on my experiences. From memory, the first 3 were the more affordable ones.

From my experience I have trusted only two companies for real on this. For wrestling: Ring Divas because although it is expensive and it takes a long time to get customs, They have pretty much nailed what I want. Had a few with Sleeper kid and one with Slampegs (they are more picky about stuff) but my favorite keeps being Ring Divas.

And for Heroine videos, I am very cautious and I am very pro PG-13 stuff, and I also need to be attracted by previous work.

So in that regard, Heroine Legends are the only ones I have ordered from and contributed for Group customs.

Yes it is expensive but at least in my experience, Logan has been very honest with me and has pretty much nailed scenes I have asked for, which are mostly KOs and heroine winning in the end.

On the honest side, he has told me when certain actress I want is not available in a long time, or what he don't get when someone is too specific and the best part is that he allows join customs, which for me it has been really cool.

I would try someone else but that for me is really difficult and with other starting quotes I have seen and with the kind of contents I like, I think for me my best choice has been HL.

Primal is great, but they are currently not taking custom orders. I've also ordered from Randy Moore and was very happy with the results. I got two from her and they were both excellent.

I've only seen Cory Chase videos on Clips4sale and they look really low-budget and cheap. The costumes look cheap, the setting is always someone's living room, and I don't know if they do the kind of content I want.

That's great. This is exactly the kind of info I was looking for in this thread. HeroineLegends doesn't do the kind of content I want, but really the most important thing to me is service. I have no trouble believing that Logan is very responsive and honest, because I see his posts on this forum all the time. He's obviously a really hands-on producer and loves to interact with the fans.

Same with Alex David. Just the fact that she's around here posting on the forums is a big sign that she truly cares about staying in touch with her customers. I e-mailed her a little while ago and got a response either the same day or the next day. So right away, I'm feeling good about ordering from her.

Now all I have to do is write a script. :-P

Well, okay, I probably should have mentioned it, but you are right. The script I sent to Christina Carter did, in fact, include 4 female characters, so it was pretty big. I sent it to her fully expecting it to be in the $2000 range. She sent me a quote of, IIRC, $6000.

But that aside, you can see her prices listed on her web site, and they are on the high end.

I am in the process of having a custom done with Shakeshift mainly because I have gotten to know Jack and his work has always impressed me and he is shooting possibly for the last time with a stuning model who is 6ft tall in bare feet.
I must say his quited price is much less than I expected and in line with what I usually pay, so competitive that I could even afford to have 3 ladies involved, perhaps I droppe din lucky with his shootig schedule but even if that is the case what I have seen so far from him in customer service is top notch with plenty of pics to help with costume choices and good model info and explainations of what FX etc are possible within my price range....looking forward to reading his draft script and I will post details as and when th emovie is nearing release.

I believe communication is key whether it's in regards to what will go from concept to creation or timing or process or simply updates during the whole process. As long as everything is appropriately communicated, I believe most producers can do a decent to great job at delivering an exceptional product to a customer...

That is a nice nod to your fellow producers Logan and my earlier post about your company tells everyone just how impressed I am with what you have done for me, when I win the lottery I am comissioning a feature starring Keppy and LOTS of your beautiful and talented ladies and gentlemen of course, Timbrewulf and Aoemeba are a must have!

But seriously what I got from Logan and his team was incredible and way beyond what I had dreamed of getting for a contribution to a group custom and that is why I jumped at the chance to gran a slice of the action in the HL Kombay series, if you have not spoken to Logan about what he can do for you at a relatively small price within the Kombat series it is well worth checking him out.

And yes of course I chipped in on the Lady Wonder Kombat films LOL!

I'd order a custom from him in a second, except that he just doesn't do the kind of content I like (bondage / forced O). It's really quite frustrating.

Our actresses really want to deliver the best videos they can within the genre, but there are limits imposed based on the ratings and scenarios they feel comfortable doing... Even in certain situations, such as Shadowgirl where we did do some bondage and a forced orgasm, those types of scenarios are rare and must make sense 100% with the storyline and be very tastefully done if agreed upon. It's not something I would be able to "sell" an actress on doing. In this case, it was a recreation of a scene in Barbarella which I believe we executed very nicely.

They also have mainstream careers to keep in mind and anything that could be construed as even soft core porn, whether it is or not, could jeopardize that career or how they are viewed within the industry here in Hollywood. I can honestly say that our limitations have gone into a grey area we never would have touched before simply because of they way it is brought about and filmed. Low blows, whipping, some light bondage scenarios are fair game, but the types of content which are blatantly fetish-oriented are just not something our actresses want to film... and out of respect for them, I make sure they are not only 100% comfortable with the content, but also WANT to do it as well... it makes for better films, chemistry, and a better overall producer-actor relationship which equates to longevity.

Has anyone had any experience with ordering a custom from dtwrestling (aka double trouble) or xtremefemalefighting?

I sent them a script 2 weeks ago and they seem really disorganized. I have like 3 different e-mail addresses as point of contact, I've sent several e-mails that were completely ignored. They keep telling me they are ready to move on making my video and then I don't hear from them for days at a time like they just forgot about it.

Am I wasting my time with these guys?
