Hi everyone - here is the last installment of "Kneel Before Luthor" before I take a break. If you have anything to say about this section or the story overall then please leave a comment. Don't forget there is also one last piece of "What If...?"#1 over in the clips and pictures section of the forum that with luck and wifi while I am away will be out on sometime on the 24th!

Marvelous work! The subtle manipulations and the dialogue to match are so inventive ... and deliciously evil. Heh heh heh!

Thanks DrD, I'm glad you liked this chapter. SG v Luthor returns next year where we will see what happens next! But don't forget the last part of "What If...?" arrives in the clips & pictures section on Monday some time. The draft is all set to go but I just need Internet access to release it while I am away from home!

Happy New Year to one and all! So, I am going to be blunt here and say I am pretty sure then that some of you won't be a fan of this up and coming chapter. I've tried to balance the wickedness as best I could with the material to hand and while I think I have managed to do something with it I recognise that by trying to please everyone I may well end up alienating everyone instead, either by being still too harsh, or not fully exploiting the situation the heroine is in. Whatever happens I hope you will come back for future chapters... which I suspect will be few.

So ... to make it official ...

This is powerful writing synched up to terrific visuals. As I keep saying, you are extending this art form, sir. It's amazing work. Thanks for sharing it.

Wow! Very nasty mental torment! That Lillian Luthor is relentless!

This is always a Wednesday highlight. Can't wait for the conclusion. I especially enjoy the psychology and the effort you make with the humiliation suit readout panels. It feels like a massive effort. On the one hand constricting (your limited by visuals) but at the same time immensely creative. Honestly, hats off. Here's hoping that both the show as well as your stories last for several more years. It's probably tapped out, but I'd be curious to see what you could do with the '84 movie or maybe some of the comics. Well, here's hoping Kara escapes.

Thank you both for your comments. Girlofsteel, of course you are right, the show does not give much direct action for me to key off from. The repurposing of data screens and so on are often the only means I have to show the peril, the millipede for example in a previous scene though it can happen that I get some more direct visuals, like SG in the action-figure blister pack. Oddly the data screens can sometimes be the easier part of the work, it is when scenes need a lot of manipulation that it gets tricky, Lillian Luthor dragging SG away at the end of Kneel Before Luthor was tough! To be fair to Tristan he has recently worked with the Supergirl Movie and I already have my hands very full with the show (and in the process of buying and moving house) but maybe one day I might investigate if there is a way to re-spin it.

Hi DrD, thanks for taking the trouble to ask. I am currently in the middle of a house move and have many contractors to organise in the meantime. I have ideas to expand on this story and also have a whole "What if?" ready for when I have time to upload it. I'm sorry for the delay but I hope my one fan won't have to wait too long before I post more Supergirl stuff. I can tell from the quieter response from the last SG V LUTHOR chapter that I have alienated some of my core audience but no doubt the material we have left can touch on more mainstream perils .... Ho hum.

More than one fan since girlofsteel is on-board, too, as well as more than 14,000 views of your comic strip. I'm just the one who's stalking you. Hey, nice new house by the way. Love the curtains. Mwaah hah haaa!!

100 percent on board. So you better continue.

I too get frustrated by the silence. But honestly, what you're doing has quality. There is intelligence and craft and all of that shows. It's why your work is a cut above.

In terms of feedback - sometimes the pacing is a bit slow. But the tone is great (diabolical even). But yeah, I'm hooked. Good luck with your move but chop, chop ... readers await.

Good luck with the move, and hope you feel like (and have the time) to continue.
Really impressive work, both with the story and especially with the image manips, high quality.
In fact, posting about this was why I originally tried to to register here the first time (though I later did find DrDominator9 and others stories too).

Thanks for the praise which I know you went through a lot to be able to give! I do intend to close out the story for SG V Luthor but it has been on the back burner while the new house I bought took priority. In the meantime I made a big time investment in my next Supergiirl & The Broker story and ...

NEWSFLASH...

Following GirlOfSteel's desire that I look, plus Tristan's / Supergirl1984's commendable efforts with the film I have been re-ordering shots from the Supergirl movie from 1984 to create a new movie length story. Ive borrowed very slightly from other thematically related material and currently the draft is in the order of 1000+ frames with some key scenes still to do.

There's peril from all sides for Supergirl, blackmail, domination, and the fear of someone from her past. Then we have battles and torture and humour too. But will she win what she desires or will she fall prey to her Nemesis? I hope you will enjoy what I've managed to make!

Sorry, was I drooling all over this thread? My bad. That rework of the Supergirl film should be a fantastic series to follow if it's up to your usual standards, AEM.

I can't wait to see what you're gonna do to Helen Slater's SG. She will always be my definitive Supergirl.
