Positive Custom Experience

Lately there has been a lot of negative discussions about customs, and I admit I was one of those negative members. Today is a good day with a POSITIVE experience with a custom video. Ron from Tropic City Heroines is very professional, reliable, and I highly recommend buying customs from him. Two months ago Tropic City Heroes offered a partial custom video and I joined the group for the custom.

The agreement was everyone who took part in the custom can put in what they wanted in the video. Ron from Tropic City Heroes always communicated to me about the status of the custom and what I wanted to see in the video. He also let me know what other people wanted in the video to let everyone know what fetishes would be in the video. Once I knew everyone's fetishes is when I decided to join in.

Ron also emailed the script to me for I would know what the video would be like. I was never left in dark to ponder on the video's concept and direction. Everything I asked for and suggested was in the video. I enjoy seeing girls make out and that was an instant winner for me.

Hm. I've dealt with Tropic City via e-mail a couple of times and I got very bad vibes from them. I never actually ordered a custom, so maybe I'm just being paranoid.

One of the things that bugged me about them is one of the things you mentioned as a positive, which is that they sent you the script. I prefer to write the script myself but Tropic City repeatedly insisted that they would write it, so I ended up writing one and they wrote another. It got weird. And when I said I was working on the script, they didn't seem to be listening, they just went ahead and wrote their own. There wasn't very good communication.

They also had an inexplicable problem with dialog. To be fair, my script had a lot of dialog in it, but I've written some dialog-heavy scripts before for other producers and never had a problem. But Tropic City was adamant that dialog was really difficult and time-consuming to shoot and they wanted me to reduce it a lot.

Finally... I think they just have a different vibe than I wanted. They wanted something kind've light and not-too-serious and I wanted something really dark and I think they just weren't comfortable doing that, or didn't really GET it.

Just wanted to chime in. I don't remember this email exchange with you. I don't usually write scripts unless the customer requests this or as in the case if the initial review, this is a video I was producing with 3 customers that wanted certain elements included. I took all their requests and included them in a script that each could review and make changes if they wanted.

Would you do me a favor and PM me your email address so that I can review our exchange and see what I said? I really don't want to come across that I want to push my script on you. Perhaps the script was too dark for the actresses involved as you mentioned?

Thanks to TieNTeez for PMing me his email address. I did go back and look at the email conversation.

So, here is what happened. You emailed me back in 2013 on a custom. I dropped the ball on this and you found someone else. Not sure why, I didn't answer, but I did not reply in a timely manner and I accept fault for that. I don't even remember reading this script, so I must have opened the email by accident on my phone and not noticed and then never saw it. Looking at it now, the costume were really cool. This was our only discussion. Maybe 5 or 6 messages.

However, the other points you described about the vibe, things being weird, script rewrites, etc. were not me. I searched further in my emails using your real name from the email. And I found some other discussions. A few years ago, I partnered with another individual on several hardcore videos which were not released under TCH, but another store. This is the individual that you were talking to. He approached me to film this for him, but I was never in the discussions with you. Any suggestions to rewrite scripts, change dialogue, change the whole demeanor of your script was not me. I would have been the one filming, but was not involved in the process. I would not try to alter someone's custom video from something they wanted to something that would be easier for me.

As a matter of fact, I don't mind filming dark at all. :-)

I hope this clears things up. I was really confused when I read your message and did not understand where it was coming from.

Fair enough. It was a really long time ago, so it's entirely possible that my recollection is a little fuzzy.
What you are describing does, in fact, ring true to me, now that you bring it up.
