Hey guys so here's the deal. We will be opening up a bionic store within the next few months. We will be releasing bionic woman vs (insert villian/ monster/ etc) I have heard from several people that Bionic strength movies are not superheroine while others tell me it is. So since we will be making them anyway the question is where to release them?
If the majority of you guys say that bionics are superheroine I will post all the updates as we release them.
If the majority say its not superheroine we will not update here since its not considered superheroine.
Im doing this for two reasons:
1) I dont want to spam the board with things people dont consider on topic
2) I dont want people to think Im not interested in their opinion and just putting stuff up because im trying to get extra hits/sales
Please be honest and tell me what you think.
I put (no argumnets) because i wont be defending any personal opinion of mine. Im honestly looking for input on the matter in order to better serve this community. All I ask is for some civility. I know a few honestly dont like me and you're entitled to your opinion I just ask for some civility in the replies
Thank you for your time

Re: Honest opinion needed (no arguments)
I don't see how it isn't a superheroine? I remember MH had a real nice Bionic Woman movie a long time ago--it has a real nice chloroform scene in it too!
Re: Honest opinion needed (no arguments)
Sure she is, along with the six million dollar man they were the first popular cyborgs.
If she's not a Superheroine, then Cyborg (from teen titans) isnt a superhero.

Re: Honest opinion needed (no arguments)
Well technically how is Batgirl a superheroine or ChunLi? Black Widow certainly isn't... she has no super powers. I think its fine. Heck you could even do spies etc.

The fact that they have superhuman strength does make it SH - the SOURCE of teh superpower is irrelevant really be it power belt, secret bracelets, or in this case, tech - it all still counts. As Mr X rightly said BG and others a re human yet classed as SH.

Re: Honest opinion needed (no arguments)
While the Bionic Woman may tick most of the boxes for superheroinedom, she doesn't really have a costume as such. (Unless you count unflattering 1970s tracksuits as a signature look.) Which places her in the same category as Buffy and the Charmed girls. An extraordinary woman in ordinary civvies.
Bear in mind that fetishization of the uniform is a huge part of the appeal of superheroine porn. I guess it depends on how you want your version of the Bionic Woman to look? A literal adaptation of the original look would have limited appeal. But I'm sure you can put together something new that ticks a few fetish boxes. stiletto boots and pantyhose would appeal to me. One very basic - but effective - trick would be to have your heroine flexing the fingers on one hand robotically while wearing a single glove. Which we can imagine is temporarily covering up the mechanics of an artificial hand.

If producers can put up wrestling videos on a superheroine forum then bionic stuff is superheroine.

OMG! I'm writing a Buffy the Vampire Slayer story. Does that mean I can't post it here?!!
Re: Honest opinion needed (no arguments)

I'm pretty sure you'll be okay. But you can always ban yourself if you feel you've crossed the line.DrDominator9 wrote:OMG! I'm writing a Buffy the Vampire Slayer story. Does that mean I can't post it here?!!
The point I was making about Buffy was that she doesn't have a specific look that lends itself to fetish. She generally wore typical 90s/00s fashion tops and pants/jeans. The same goes for the original Bionic Woman in her unflattering 70s gear. If someone were to parody either, the character would need to be identified by her actions - vampire slaying or doing bionic stuff with the "nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh" sould effect - rather than a distinctive look.
Buffy and the Bionic Woman are just as much superheroines as Batgirl and Supergirl. However, you could look at Batgirl and Supergirl and say "She's a superheroine" without knowing anything else about either character. The non-costumed heroines need a little more work.
Let's face it, most videos in this genre don't have a lot of action. We're just expected to assume the super stuff happens off-screen with our focus being on the depowerment/capture scenarios. Which is why the uniform becomes an important identifier of the heroine's role and history. With a non-costumed superheroine, it becomes more important to show us what she can do. With the Bionic Woman in particular, that means showing her running at high speed (easy to do), leaping (not so easy) and displaying enhanced physical strength (easy enough with the right props).
To be honest, superpowers are massively under-represented in the SH fetish genre. So I welcome KoG's interest in a heroine who absolutely needs to be shown using her powers.

Re: Honest opinion needed (no arguments)
ok....so there is a good thing and a bad thing.
The Bad Thing:
It was made perfectly clear to me that casey is still stalking me through several forums and then cant help but tweet about it.
Whatever man
The Good Thing:
Its become clear that so far the majority of you guys think its acceptable to include Bionic women into our future releases here.
Since we have a whole new clip store dedicated to it you can expect top see weekly releases alongside with out superheroine releases and our patreon releases.
For those of you who have issues with vanilla clothing there is something that might be able to be done regarding that. I wont give her a full superheroine suit, but i can give her accessories that give a hero vibe, also if it helps I can give the villains costumes that are obviously super villains (not black catsuit spys or anything)
Also there's always the occasional superheroine teamups if that helps.
As always Im open to suggestions/ ideas/ warnings/ etc

Instead of a superheroine costume, you can give her an organization uniform?
A colorful, or just plain body hugging, body/jumpsuit of some sort will probably applease much of the masses.
A character like the Black Widow is in a Black bodysuit and gets by. Less superheroine costume, and more functional 'uniform', like something along the lines of what Erin Grey wore in the buckrogers series.

Re: Honest opinion needed (no arguments)
Yeah and if you can get Erin Grey even better!
but its a fair point Kitten makes - something shiny can work Nothing particularly SH about the above except maybe the belt but it fits the bill (though prefer her dark blue number)
Although Erin would've looked great in anything....or next to nothing, come to that

Re: Honest opinion needed (no arguments)
Thats a really great idea because it would allow me to have two types of scenes. one where she is in her civilian clothes with pantyhose and sandles and the other where she is in uniform on specific missions.Kitten wrote:KnightsofGotham.com wrote:ok....so there is a good thing and a bad thing.

I now get to pick that apart in my head to see how to make it work.

Re: Honest opinion needed (no arguments)
Opening sequence with no titles:
This will be our opening sequence. with each new movie a shot of it will be included to this clip, older ones phased out to make room for newer clips.
A good Bionic clip is more than just slow motion running. the fight scenes have to be convincing and the addition of FX makes it far more enjoyable and convincing (at least in my opinion)
Casting is also very important. If you cast the wrong person in the villain role it just wont be convincing.

Very nice effects on the spinning tire smoke, the jumps and such. I think you need to find a more dramatic score for the clip though in the public domain file because what you've got there isn't quite working for me. Just one opinion. But it looks very promising indeed.

Oh, you expected me to actually come up with an actual piece. Gee, uh... well, you see, it's like this... I don't have one specifically in mind. Something more dramatic but not like, you know, the 1812 Overture because that's over the top. That'll take some research. Maybe I'll send you a PM if I stumble across something. I'm going now.

i dig the music since it's opening from the show. I think the action sequences need the bionic sound effect to clarify why they are moving in slow motion

Re: Honest opinion needed (no arguments)
yeah they have the sounds in the actual movies. since this is the opening sequence just without titles there are no sounds, but yes in the actual movies we have all of them.Gus Goreman, Jr. wrote:i dig the music since it's opening from the show. Running sounds, Falling sounds, bionic kicking sounds, malfunctioning bionic sounds, we even have alternative sounds for bad guys with bionics to distinguish between falling, running, kicking
