When I was a kid, I used to watch the telethons and it was always a kickoff to the beginning of the school year so it was slightly melancholy. We knew the summer was ending but it was the only thing worthwhile on TV!
Outlived Dino by 22 years. Longer than their career together. Ain't that a kick in the head?
