what ever happened to....

not sure if it's been asked already or not, but what happened to, or what is going on with, sooperhero.com?
they've been around for many years and have mostly been consistent with their updates, but there hasn't been anything new since 11/12 according to their site. I've been a member of their site many times over the years and they've always been one of my favorites. I never thought I'd see them go for this long without an update; does anyone know what's going on with them? I'd hate to see them go out and under

I too have been an occasional member. I admit to losing interest when the content became almost entirely full-face masks, which explains my brief membership in liveanime.com.

Several years ago, I thought sooperhero had the whole shooting match: great photos of hot women in great outfits in imaginative stories. Stories turned over every few weeks. Besides his own stuff, snakeshift contributed a lot of superb material. Somewhere along the way, the wheels fell off. Sooperhero's stories dragged on endlessly & pointlessly, the women weren't as hot and seemed disinterested, and I think snakeshift moved on to Superheroine Adventures by Dawnstar. Now sooperhero seems to have suffered the same fate as spandexplayground.com, which was also very good while it lasted.

Oh well. Things come, things go. I guess all we can do is appreciate the good stuff while it's still around.

Shakeshift, not Snakeshift. Please.

It's funny that you mention Superheroine's Demise though, because this avatar was from one of my oldest photostories.

I dunno, I think Snakeshift sounds pretty wicked...

I used to stay in touch with Villain through emails, but my last one from a few months back went unanswered. I do know that he moved his family from Baltimore to New Jersey. I think his Wife is from there. He sent me some photos at one point of his house that he had built that appeared to be very close to the water. And with that closeness, and Hurricane Sandy destroying just about anything around a NJ coastline, I honestly do not know if Villain became one of Sandy's victims or not. (I sure as hell hope not)......Plus Villain became a first time Dad shortly after moving to NJ. So quite possibly with all of that, he may have decided to either 1) stop producing for awhile, or 2) stop producing all together.

I do think that Villain4U, a member on here, is his business partner. Perhaps he might know the whole story.

And Spandex Playground, Live Anime, and Sooperhero are all Villain owned sites. There are a few others as well, but I can't remember the names right now. Power Angels???

Doesn't he also manage the superheroinelinks site? I thought I saw someone respond to a post about that a week or so back.

I'm not sure. I don't think so. Funny, I always thought superheroinelinks was the old 'Antman'. Anyone know whatever happened to him? Or Angleman? That guy used to have some awesome stuff on the web. I think...I can't remember now...his material was at the Wizard's Lair.

This is what happens to you when you have kids. You reply to a post 10 years later.

Yes, I am the old Villain from sooperhero.com. All sites mentioned above I had created and run with a silent partner who managed the business end of things. I had to get out because it became a bad arrangement.

Superheroinelinks was run by a friend of ours called antman - that is correct. He is still around and active on DA. I did move from Baltimore to NJ. Also correct. I was a victim of Sandy. correct. I did a lot of full face mask stuff because I am a big fan of that. Spidergirl is one of my favorites. For me, it just seems like the most realistic disguise if you are truly trying to hide your identity as many superheroines are. I also realize that not everyone was into it as much as me. Shakeshift and I worked together on a bunch of stuff. correct.

I have resurrected the old site on patreon.
