For the past few weeks, I've been thinking about the future of this fan film series and how long the series has lasted. It's amazing to me that back in 2013 when Supergirl & The Watery Trap was released, it became a popular hit and what was suppose to be a one and done...turned out to become a long running popular YouTube Fan Film Series. 11 years later, With Linda Hines leading the way, Superwoman has become to face of the franchise and of W.O.N. We also look forward to bringing Supergirl back in action as well in the future...Plus, incorporating Supergirl & Superwoman into other W.O.N's Movie Showcases...
But, since 2020....The thought of retiring from the superheroine film genre and ending this series has crossed my mind a couple of times. In fact, I stated a few years ago that 2025 would most likely be the last year of the series. Of course, things have changed since then and the series will not end in 2025. As I'm having more fun writing, creating these fan films for all you fans, it makes no sense to stop now.
But, there will be some challenges and changes ahead beginning next year as we head into this next chapter of the series and also, start thinking about how much fuel is left in the tank on this series and how to conclude the series when the time comes.
As much as I love doing these films, I have no plans on doing this forever and there comes a time where it's time to think about riding into the sunset and concluding this series. That time is coming soon. Not yet...but soon....And For me, it would be retirement for the superheroine parody film genre.
So, I'm looking forward to what we have in store for you fans this season and the future for those who have followed and have been a huge supporters and fans of our fan films since day one. And I thank you so much for your support over the past 11 years and looking forward to bringing you more adventures this season and "god willing" beyond until its time to hang up the cape.
