OK, so here's a movie which is exactly like 'Taken' except it's 'give me back my husband' instead of 'give me back my son'.
OK, so here's a movie which is exactly like 'Atomic Blonde', except she's only blonde in that one thumbnail and not for the rest of the movie.
OK, so here's a movie about Black Canary, except the two words are simply reversed ('canary yellow' is the actual color, not 'canary black').
So, why would I watch this again?
Oh, that's right: Kate Beckinsale is one of the hottest women alive on the planet over the age of 50 (she's currently 51).
Though the results might have been a bit uneven in her 2021 thriller 'Jolt', the premise of the electroshock suit giving her augmented powers and the whole appearance of her gorgeous body in that outfit was a strong highlight of that film. I'd even watch her fight here in a pantsuit or whatever, but I would hope that *somewhere* in this flick she would change into a tight catsuit of some sort: Black Canary, Black Widow, Black is the new Orange.
And you know what? That could have been it. We go have a great mindless sexy time at the movies watching a hot formulaic spy thriller.
But please, if you would, in the trailer don't forget to remind us that it's Current Year by rebuking the horribly sexist toxic middle-aged white man who is inevitably the villain.
Also, let's please remind the audience that she has been trained by her father to be the best in the world only since she was 18. Black Canary and Nightwing and Star-Spangled Kid and any number of sidekicks and wards were trained much younger than that, but we don't want anyone to get any ideas.
Don't worry, women can still call each other 'bitch', or call themselves 'bitch' as a matter of empowerment (Meredith Brooks made an entire career out of only doing that) all day long and all night, especially if they call each other 'bitch' during fantastic lesbian sex, which I really wish that Kate Beckinsale had with another hot actress in this film strictly for scientific purposes, but we can't always get what we want in 2024.
Alright, everyone, enjoy when it comes out October 24.
I seriously don't know why Youtube clips don't automatically embed anymore in these posts?
