Hot Jewish girl alert.
Rebecca 'Becky' Bloom (actress Laura) summoned her plant powers and transformed into Gardenia at the Pittsburgh Jewish Book Festival tonight. First, she appeared on a panel about Pittsburgh comics, answering audience questions about her character, and then she made sure everyone knew about her action-packed story in Heroineburgh Comics issue 4.
Also she posed in front of the synagogue's tree of life [donation wall]. No, this isn't the Tree of Life [still closed] which suffered that tragic shooting, but it's only a few blocks away.
Gardenia both defends her neighborhood of Squirrel Hill and takes action against anyone who attempts to despoil Mother Earth. And she looks gorgeous doing it!
2024 Comicon Season: Heroineburgh
Re: 2024 Comicon Season: Heroineburgh
This wasn't originally on our Nov schedule, but we got the opportunity to table for free at an indie literary gathering called Scribble Lit Fest today, held in the very same social hall where we filmed most of Heroineburgh Episode 21!
The indie-hipster bookish types were suprisingly open to comics, and we sold about a dozen issues.
It certainly didn't hurt that sexy Serpenta was with us in her tight and shiny green outfit. Played by the tiny packet of explosive Indonesian energy, aka Jessica B, she was slinking around the room, just looking lithe and gorgeous, greeting people with smiles and hisses.
I don't think these indie-lit types had encountered a costumed character at their events before, and Serpenta made quite a splash. See the photos for all of Jess B's attractive poses!

Re: 2024 Comicon Season: Heroineburgh
Our relentless Con schedule has one more smaller event taking place on Dec 14: KTM Pop Culture Show in North Versailles, just east of Pittsburgh (see the flyer for info). Poderosa will be there to sign comics and 8x10s, and she'll take a photo with you. If you live near Pittsburgh and haven't met us yet, this is the last chance of the year, so we hope to see you! We'll be publishing photos from it, as well as from our Dec 6 shoot for EP25, so look for those.
You are caller #2. Poderosa will be with you in a few minutes!

Re: 2024 Comicon Season: Heroineburgh
Today we did the KTM Toy Show, but Christina had to go to an appointment she couldn't forego, and so a few days ago we replaced her for this event with an appearance by the slinky and sexy Serpenta! (Jess B)
This was our last announced public event for 2025, and it went well. We reached some new fans by selling some Issue 1-4 runs, and Serpenta took a bunch of selfies.
There was a bit of 'hubba-hubba' as a bunch of middle-aged guys who had apparently not seen a woman in spandex in a very long time gave Serpenta some vocal compliments but it didn't really rise to the level of catcalling - they were just being enthusiastic. She converted at least one
of them to a new customer.
Here are some photos from the event. Near the end, Serpenta had a chance to visit a Christmas photo set that had been put up in the building
and she posed very sexily amongst the chestnuts roasting on the open fire and the stockings hung with care.
Merry Hissmas and a Snaky New Year from Heroineburgh! We'll see you in 2025.
