I want to share with you a superheroine video I produced a few years ago. A good grades student receives a special gift from her school. Rather than receiving money or something "useful" the young girl finds out that the gift is a device that can trigger special abilities on her. A regular girl turned overnight into a claimed superheroine, however having superpowers it's not that easy and sooner than expected she finds herself in trouble.
This is a PG13 production that includes the basic tropes found in the ship genre: naive overconfident heroine getting in trouble, depowering, transformation, story based in the hero's journey, defenseless heroine without powers.
Audio is in Spanish with subtitles in English. Usage of some special effects tries to enhance the best aspects achieved when filming.
Plot evolves around a main aspect of the ship genre. What constitutes a heroine? How soon or how often should a heroine lose her powers? Is depowering needed to make a good ship video? And how it should be executed.
I missed the part of getting a proper costume due to lack of time and tight budget at the moment when I filmed it. Getting that improved for next videos I produce
