Main page comments don't make sense

So one can comment on a post on the main page and it shows up underneath but then one can click on the topic which then comes full screen then make a comment but that comment is different than the one on the main page. That one doesn't show up on the main page.

Do you mean if you click on an image from the post?

If I just click on the post it brings up the post and the pic as a new overlay, lets me comment but that comment doesn't appear on the main page.

Perhaps the comment hasn't been approved by the post's author?

So I checked into this and, it looks like it's working as designed.

Basically, it's working like Facebook. If you see a Facebook post, you can comment on it and the comment will load up underneath the post.
if you click on an image of the post, or the post itself, there is a new comment section which does NOT cross populate with the main comment.
Try it on Facebook and you'll see what I mean.
Not much I can do about this one, unfortunately. It's weird, I know.
