Gemstone Wars - The Hidden Kingdom is an adventure that follows the escapades of Suzu and Hogart, two bumbling fortune-seekers in a vibrant fantasy-western world. While searching for lost treasure, they magically raise the hidden kingdom of Tavter and unearth the coveted Land Elemental Gemstone—one of four Elemental Gemstones that, when combined, can open portals to new worlds, dimensions, and planes of existence. Suddenly, their quest for riches transforms into a desperate race for survival. They must evade the clutches of the ruthless Keldace Vildan, Empress of Zamana, and her ambitious commander, Tomap Sruz, who crave the Gemstone’s power. Along the way, they join forces with a mysterious young woman and an enigmatic man with his own agenda. From dinosaur attacks and skyship pirates to a climactic horse race with the fate of the world hanging in the balance, Suzu and Hogart must somehow escape their pursuers with the aid of their new friends and prevent the Empress from continuing to enslave countless innocents.

Gemstone Wars - The Hidden Kingdom is a fantasy-western serial adventure, told in a 1930's and 1940's Saturday afternoon matinee style, in which the protagonists get in one bit of cliffhanger trouble after the next. It's perfect for fans of high-stakes action and unforgettable characters in every chapter. Filled with humor, danger, and heart, this self-contained story is the first in a planned trilogy.

The book is perfect for the beach, a road trip, the airport, a vacation, escapism, the proverbial 'waiting room,' and the dreadful trip to the in-laws' house.

The aspiring wordsmith saw Star Wars at the age of five, Indiana Jones at nine, and read The Lord of the Rings at eleven. I want to give back some of the magic I enjoyed as a child.

The author was born and raised in the Mid-Hudson Valley area of New York, near West Point Military Academy. He currently lives in the southeast of the United States.
