2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

It begins! Here's our first event for 2025.

Come meet Sintilla the superthief, Savanna the feline fury, and the Comicsburgh creators at the closing party for Big Phill's magnificent "Collections in Black" exhibit - get comics, selfies and autographed photos. It all happens Thu Jan 16, 6-9 pm at the August Wilson Center downtown Pittsburgh.

We hope to see you there!

(Yes, I know it says the exhibit is closing Jan 12, but it will definitely still be up for the closing party.)

Thanks for asking, Judah!

We will try to be at Garden State's summer edition. yes. (Hopefully we'll still get to see lots of spooky drones in the sky in Morristown NJ!)
Can't promise for sure, but I do intend to sign up soon. That's only a 5-hour drive, and I've always had a good time there.
It's going to a different situation than in past years, since the whole thing will happen in one new enclosed stadium, as opposed to the 'hot' and 'cold' hockey rinks of the previous years (we were in the cold room, so it wasn't blazing hot for us inside the building).

Terrificon seems less likely. We tried it twice (2022 and 2023, I think) and it was fun, but the drive was way too exhausting (more than 8 hours!). It was very difficult for Bridget (Arctica). There is no way to take a train or a bus to the Mohegan Sun (or to get anywhere near there with mass transit) because it's in the middle of nowhere, even though we stayed in Norwich CT, you can't really get there from Pittsburgh, either.

As far Alicia (Sintilla) coming on the road, that seems unlikely, and the reason is that she has several life limitations which prevent her from going on these longer trips. That's why we mainly have her do appearances in our area (and we're lucky she's available for Jan 16). However, when I talk with her a couple weeks, I'll ask her if her horizons will be able to expand in 2025, because obviously she is a knockout actress who would be very helpful for us on the road. But I'm not expecting her life to change. We'll see.

But no, for now, our main travel characters are likely to stay about the same: Arctica (most likely), Poderosa, Serpenta, and maybe Hellfyra, Fianna or Pagliaccia. Maybe a couple more will agree to come with us in the near future, so stay tuned for that!

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

So there is something extra special that we will be debuting at the August Wilson Center this coming Thu Jan 16.

We've been working on this for a few months, and it's finally finished:
the 20-piece "Forces of Good" collectors' card set of the heroines of Heroineburgh!

The front art is drawn by the amazing artist Ray P Francisco, whom I originally met on DeviantArt.
He contributed some fan art of Poderosa for issue 4, and then I asked him if he might be interested in doing a whole set of drawings
for a trading card set. Fast forward a few months, and it's finished!

Right now, I have 50 sealed packs of the first printing of the card set. We will debut it at the gallery closing on Thursday, and then in a little while we'll be adding it to the offerings on our website. But if anyone wants to grab the card set earlier they can contact me directly by DMs either here on the Forum or on our socials.

If this "Forces of Good" effort is well received, then I'll be bringing Ray P Francisco back soon to complete a "Forces of Evil" card set for all of the supervillainesses. But we'll have to see how things go.

For starters, here is the front and back of the Red Gina card (#15). I'm posting these photos because I broke open a pack last week and mailed them individually to all of our actresses. Jess R, who plays Red Gina, was the first to post about it on Instagram and Facebook, praising the cards and showing it off to her friends. Since she was so enthusiastic (and believe me, Jess is an awesome person) I decided to use her card as an example.

On the front, Ray Francisco depicts the muscular amazon Red Gina exploding into action from the warehouse district, her gorgeous curvy body and her luscious long legs barely contained by her tight red bodysuit and black heeled boots. What more do you want from a heroine? Except she's more of an antiheroine, so you can also imagine her crushing her foes and showing them no mercy.

On the back, I did the layouts for 20 lists of vital stats and background info on each character. Enjoy this classified information, but please make sure nobody's secret identity falls into the hands of the evil Black Faction!

And yes, all of the cards look this stunningly hot. Great job, Ray!

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

Gorgeous goddesses in tight and shiny spandex were part of the attraction at the closing party for the comic book exhibit "Collections in Black" at the August Wilson Center in downtown Pittsburgh.

The smart and attentive curator gave Heroineburgh our own dressing room and placed our vendor booth right between the exhibit and the food/drink area, so every single attendee (and there were about 100) had to pass right by our comics and drink in the incredible visuals of Sintilla (Alicia) and Savanna (Jasmine).

Dozens of cameras and phones were clicking, capturing photos of the actresses, and that's as it should be. Plus it was the debut of our character card pack (see post above) and we sold some comics, too! What a great start to 2025, and more to come in January.

Kristin, the actress who plays Jinniyya, also came in civilian garb but wearing a Wonder Woman tiara. Her longtime boyfriend is a local comic book artist who did a couple pinups for our issues.

There was a great soul food vendor, an open bar, and two floors of rare original comic book art.

You wish you were there!

Well, hope to see you at one of the Con's in 2025 with Alicia of course. Garden State is being held in West Orange, NJ this year. Yeah Im not sure how Mitch is able to run a great show with top talent at such a remote area like Mohegan Sun for Terrificon. I heard they may be some financial benefit for the show and guests bu having it at Mohegan Sun. It sucks because your right when it comes to hotels. There really is nothing affordable in the area. You have to drive like 45 to an hour just get a reasonably priced hotel. One year at Terrificon I slept in my van in the Casino parking lot. I was on a budget and couldn't get a hotel without driving an hour and a half. I was stinky stinky lol. Another year I slept in my van in NJ for New York Comic Con. I was able to shower at X-Sport gym. Parked my van in a mall parking lot and went to sleep.

Hey Judah!

No, unfortunately Alicia doesn't do stuff with us out of town. She might go with us again to Akron sometime (like she did the first year we were there) but that's about it. You'd probably have to come to Three Rivers Con (first weekend in June) in Pittsburgh to see her in the Sintilla suit.

Right now with regards to Garden State I'm not sure if we're returning. I had a good time both years we went (including the CG party at the nearby hotel) but we didn't really do well financially either time. Ultimately our trip to NJ depends on whether I can find a reliable driver. So we'll see.

Definitely not going to Terrificon. Connecticut for us is just too far (8 hours!) for the foreseeable future. Sorry!
I can however, pretty much promise that I'll be back solo at Big Apple Con as I have for the past few years (I don't know if you get down to NYC).
I simply take a Greyhound bus to get there so I don't have to depend on anyone (and last year I had dinner with Da Jinx of Ultraheroix!).

Really, the big out of town Cons I'm looking forward to the most are actually not in your direction, sorry to say. We're all set to return to HeroesCon in Charlotte NC again, which is one of the best Cons we always have as far as comic book sales. And I'm really hoping to add Detroit's Motor City Con to our list this year for the first time. We've been accepted by Motor City, and I'm just waiting for their billing system in order to pay. Detroit seems like a big market that we have never tried before, and I would like to hit it. We will of course be back in Akron again as well.

If Garden State becomes a possibility, I will post about it in this thread - never fear! Thanks so much, Judah.
(and p.s. if you go to Terrificon just get an airbnb nearby in Norwich. We had a great room there twice in a row!)

Motor City is a good convention. There guest list is looking good so far. Trevor Von Eeden is making a rare guest appearance. Motor City is also the same weekend as Fan Expo Philadelphia. Not sure which one I am going to attend. Probably whoever has the better guest list. I'll only do Big Apple Con if there is a rare guest there. I'll definitely be at Heroes this year. Chiller Theatre is another good one. Maybe good financially as well. Last year was a total let down with them though. They were going to have Eric Roberts and Mickey Rourke (yes that Mickey Rourke). When Mickey Rourke cancelled it was a huge and I mean huge let down. Galaxy Con Columbus should be close by where your at. I know you said Alicia doesn't go on the road but I hope you can find a way to get her down to Heroes Con.

Yeah Ive stayed in some interesting places when traveling to Cons. I once stayed at a Motel 6 with no heat and froze my ass off. lol. I always said if Brian Bolland does an international Con in the UK I would go just for him and film myself and make a mini documentary out of it.

Thanks for the response, Judah!

I'm still waiting on an invoice from Motor City Con for the booth. I don't know what's taking them so long, but I hope I get one soon.
If we go to Motor City, most likely it will be with Serpenta (the cute Indonesian girl Jessica B).

I hope we do see you at Heroes. As of now, we are definitely planning to be there, having paid for THREE tables for our comic creator collective.
But I'm sorry, Alicia doesn't go on the road. Most likely we will be there with Diana, the thick and curvy Dominican actress, who has already played 'Superia' in three customs (wearing the costume originally worn by Cherie Deville!!) and is about to debut in our regular continuity as Vendetta in Episode 25. I don't think you will mind meeting her - she's radiant and vivacious! :) (see below for Diana as Vendetta at Great Lakes Con last year)

As far as Galaxy Con Columbus, yes we've looked at that (we did table at a couple smaller Cons in Columbus in the past couple years with Arctica and Hellfyra which were not that well attended, unfortunately). The date just didn't work for some reason [or maybe the collaboration with our other comic creators on that date] but eventually sure I'd like to do Galaxy.

Another must for us is Akron Comicon which is also close by in Ohio. We've been there three years in a row - the first one with Alicia, and the next two with Devana. Most likely we'll be back there in November and probably with Devana again.

OK, Judah, we look forward to meeting you at HeroesCon, and anyone else from this Forum who is nearby to North Carolina whom we haven't met in person before. Hanging with IM Sancho at Terrificon and with Da Jinx at Big Apple Con were some good times, and we look forward to more of that in the future!

Diana says hi and can't wait to see Vendetta fans in Charlotte this June!

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

I was at MegaCon last weekend. It was great show. I am a regualr at Comic Conventions. Met the legendary and elusive Artists Gabriele Dell Otto and Lee Bermejo. Heroineburgh if you ever get a chance that might be a goldmine for you. Its hard to get a table from what I have heard. So I had some Deja Vu. Its about the Todd McFarlane signings. Last year at New York Comic Con (NYCC) Todd McFarlane was a guest. Scheduled for all 4 days. Now I heard a rumor he was not doing CGC Witnessing. Apparently he has an exclusive contract thru CGC to do private signings only. Ok no sweat I sent in a ton of CGC books for him to sign at the last private signing. So he is scheduled for all 4 day, I thought wow there has got to be ample enough time to try and grab an autograph and meet him. I have never met him before. I have only seen him appear at a handful of Conventions the last few years. To my amazement NYCC said the only way to meet Todd McFarlane is to enter a lottery system. And on top of that Todd will only sign one item BUT its free. How cool is that. So I entered the lottery system. Of course I didn't win. I have been entering the NYCC lottery system for years and never won. While at NYCC I saw a guy arguing with the staff about the McFarlane signing. Dude was getting pretty loud about how unfair the lottery system and its BS etc... Then he whips out a stack of $100 dollar bills and says he is willing to pay $500 to meet McFarlane. The staff near his booth said unequivocally "NO" - you must have entered and selected for the lottery. He then whips out $1000 I shit you not. The staff still said no. One young lady looked as though she was thinking about letting him in. He then demanded to see the management. At that point I left. Last weekend I saw the exact same thing happen. Dude (not the same guy from NYCC) whipped out $500 to try and meet McFarlane. This was Friday. I saw another person whip out almost $1000 on Saturday. Now I do not pretend to know how Conventions work or the intricacies of how they operate. From logistics to payments to artists and celebrities and vendors. On the plane ride home I could not help but remember both incidents. Its great of Todd McFarlane to offer free autographs. I entered the lottery for MegaCon and did not win either. But if there are folks willing to pony up $500 to $1000 just for a quick meet and autograph and neither the artist or parent company Fan Expo are willing to take the money, I have to believe someone is loosing out on thousands of dollars somewhere. I can't say I would ever spend $500 - $1000 just for one autograph and a quick meet. Like I said I am not sure how Conventions work. Specified contracts and exclusive agreements may play a role or factor. I am not sure. It just feels like someone is missing a financial opportunity here. But I could be wrong.

Anyone have any insight.

Judah, I respect you greatly, and the fact that you're a Comicon regular seems rare on this Forum, so I really do appreciate it.

However, if you're going to post an entire view of a Comicon, or a long story about Todd MacFarlane, please create your own thread. Thanks so much!

As for going to MegaCon (Orlando FL) - yes, it's hard to get a table because there's so much demand. But tables are actually not *super* expensive. Our cohorts at Comicsburgh have been talking about MegaCon for a while, but we just can't quite get there yet. For me, it's the wrong time of year (I work on weekends in the spring and fall, and taking off too many work weekends loses me a ton of money), and for others, it's the distance (we'd have to fly from Pittsburgh, and that's not cheap for 3-4 people). Even if we went there as comic creators, it would be impractical for me to bring a heroine actress that far for that many days. So, you wouldn't see anyone in spandex anyway. :)

To sum up, we have our limits. And right now that means 5-6 hours driving in any direction, with Charlotte (7 hours) being the absolute limit because of its worthwhile size. As I said, we hope to see you at HeroesCon. Thanks so much!

In other news, we've just confirmed that we'll be back at Sci-Fi Valley Con (in Altoona PA, two hours from Pittsburgh) as usual for our fourth year June 13-15. It's always a packed crowd there, and we have a good time at a fairly low cost.

Bridget (Arctica) will be returning with us again. If you recall, she is a stunning redhead who wears her tight silver costume quite well, and is also a very talented actress when playing her part. She is no less stunning in her 'Drainium alternate' form (which so far has only appeared in EP22)
as 'Quanta, queen of quantum physics', who snaps her fingers to change the probability of events.

Here's a short photo series of Arctica and Quanta from a previous Sci-Fi valley. You can expect much the same this year!

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

I totally forgot this happened!

Heroineburgh appeared in Dec 2024 on a North Carolina PBS show called "Comic Culture" which was shown nationally!

The segment from Heroes Con starts at 15:50 and features interviews with DP (Theme of Thieves) and Grant (Beowulf) from our wonderful Comicsburgh crew! And a nice shot of our booth display.

Poderosa was also at the Con, but for some reason she's not shown (she might have been on a break).
We'll be back at Charlotte HeroesCon again in June, this time with Vendetta!

Here's the video:

Speaking of Poderosa....

If anyone is in Upper PA (Yooper?) we'd love to see you at DuBois SuperCon on Saturday March 8, where Poderosa will be signing comics, photos and collector cards, and we'll be there with the whole Comicsburgh crew as well. Our participation will including a comic-making panel, and the debut public showing of Episode 25! (starring a mind-controlled evil Poderosa, see below)

Poderosa (Christina) was absolutely gorgeous and incredibly charismatic today at DuBois SuperCon.
She appealed to the kids and mesmerized the grown men. That's pretty much what we want to happen in order to sell comics (which we did).
Here are some photos of the action:

Coming up next:

Our next live event is the world premiere of Heroineburgh Episode 25 (and yes, it will be launched soon on the site - that's up to our webmaster).

It takes place on Fri Apr 18 at Bantha Tea Bar, 5002 Penn Avenue in Pittsburgh's Friendship/Garfield area. PG-13, $5 at the door. The night will begin at 7:30 with a reception (food/drink) and a meet-and-greet with the mischievous tech genius Pecadilla, one of the stars of the episode. You can ask her to sign stickers and photos! Heroineburgh comics and merch will also be for sale.

Then, approx 8 pm, we'll show the 36-minute Episode 25: "Crushed by the Wheels of Industry", also including appearances by Dyna, Sintilla, Darbouka, Vendetta, Poderosa, Jinniyya, Gardenia, Arctica, Etherea and Industria. If you're anywhere near the Pittsburgh region, we call you to Assemble!

Did you guys ever get your approval for Motor City. I'll be attending but only on Sunday. Fan Expo Philly is the same weekend and both Cons have a great guest list. I'll be attending Fan Expo Philly Saturday and then drive from Philly to Detroit overnight to Motor City. I'll probably end up sleeping in my van again. I'll probably be stinky. LOL

So hopefully we'll get to see you on Sunday at Motor City Con! Thanks so much for planning to make the drive! (that's got to be 10 hours??)

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

Good news for the summer: Poderosa signed on to Neo (Aug 3), and our new Stellara will debut at Nittany (Aug 9).

Meanwhile, we have immediate news both happy and sad:

- This Saturday May 3 (Free Comic Book Day) the lovely Poderosa will be strutting her cape around New Dimension Comics in Homestead PA from 12:30 to 4:30. But it turns out she is a warm-up for the main event: legendary comics writer Brian Michael Bendis will be signing books
from 4-6 pm, and we'll be tabling next to him! There will probably be a long line but Poderosa can keep you company. I personally am not a followers of Bendis' works for either Marvel or DC other than Jessica Jones, but I am a huge fan of Powers (also the TV series!) and will be bringing my Powers omnibuses for him to sign. Poderosa will be there to take photos and sign her 8x10s and comics!

- We are sad to report the passing of Pittsburgh comic book artist Tom Reyn, whom I've known since 1989. He was really the first in our area to really do the 'Kirby style', well before Tom Scioli did. I was planning to have him do a pinup piece for our issue 5, but obviously that's not going to happen now. Just another reminder to everyone to "Make More Comics" while you still have your health. Speaking of which, the final time I saw Tom was at last year's Ed Piskor memorial Con here in Munhall, PA. He sure did look like he was having fun with the gorgeous Poderosa! RIP.

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

Our actress Christina was incredibly attractive and vivacious today as Poderosa, the Latina powerhouse, at New Dimension Comics in Homestead, PA for Free Comic Book Day. Along with Arctica, she is the ultimate spokeswoman for our brand!

And as advertised, famed comic writer Brian Michael Bendis made his appearance from 4-6 pm, promising upon his arrival to sign every possible thing anyone put in front of him. And he did! Plus he was marketing his new comic "Phenomena" (on Abrams Publishing). I got the following signed: 2 Powers TPBs, 2 Jessica Jones TPBs, 2 Miles Morales TPBs, and an Ironheart (yeah...I know...). Poderosa took a great photo with Bendis!

Next Saturday May 10 we'll be in Phillipsburg NJ (near Allentown, Easton and Bethlehem PA) with an appearance from Arctica, and I'll post the details here very soon!

In the meantime, watch Poderosa stride confidently through the comic shop in her tight costume and flowing cape. She'll blow a kiss to you!

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

Here are some shots of Arctica from Phillipsburg Comicon today. The Con was attended by 700 people and capped off with a performance by
DMC (of Run DMC).

Looking so tall, majestic and gorgeous in her flowing white cape and shiny boots, the stunning Queen of the Frost was a big attraction in bringing people to our table to check out the comics, and we sold a whole bunch of "Power Packs" (Issues 1-4 with lots of extra goodies in a sealed packet). We ran out of her 8x10s (which she signed to fans) and now we have to make more.

Many thanks to our talented actress Bridget for always being such an amazing and enthusiastic member of the Heroineburgh team. And it doesn't hurt that she is a rivetingly beautiful redhead, as well!

Arctica towers above the Con floor. JAF Comics can be seen here - a store in Bethlehem PA which is stocking Issue 4 of Heroineburgh Comics.

A gorgeous pose from Arctica which will probably become her new publicity photo. She'll be out and about next in June at 3 Rivers Con (June 7-8)
and Sci-Fi Valley Con (June 13-15).

Glad you guys got into Motor City. Unfortunately, Fan Expo Philly is the same weekend, so I won't be able to make it. Look forward to seeing you next month at Heroes.
Please try to get Alicia to come to Heroes. It would be awesome to finally meet her.

Sorry, Alicia doesn't really leave town. So far, I was only able to get her to come to Akron (2 hours away) once, and that was 3 years ago.
You'll have to come to Pittsburgh at some point to meet her :)

But if you're going to be at Heroes, you'll meet Diana. She's one of our finest actresses, and very versatile: she's already played Vendetta in the regular series, Superia in three customs, and Arogya in our latest custom.

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

We're at Motor City Comicon in Detroit. On the first two days, we've sold 58 comics, 3 T-shirts and 2 stickers. Jessica B (Serpenta) and I made a great sales team: she lured them in with both her beauty and her excellent supervillainess acting skills, and I closed the deal. That makes it the most successful Comicon we've had in sales, so far, anywhere! And there's still one more day to go!

We didn't have a whole lot of time to investigate because we were doing so well, but there were a whole bunch of hot stars at this, including Malin Akerman (Silk Spectre), Famke Janssen (Jean Grey), and Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity of the Matrix). In addition, what kept me visually involved was that the continuously moving crowds were chock full of attractive female cosplayers - far more than any other convention I've seen. I couldn't take a whole lot of photos of them because I was constantly involved at the booth, but here are a handful below: female Silver Surfer (yeah, I know, I'm not thrilled about this in the upcoming FF flick, but a gorgeous body in a tight silver costume can't be ignored); a nice Atom Eve; and just because I'd never seen one before, a Savage Dragon cosplay!

Near the end of the day, Jessica (Serpenta) took the time to cross the Con floor and pay a visit to the huge Detroit Ghostbusters contingent (there were at least 20 of them! one of whom became a big fan of ours) to pose with Slimer. She also posed for a bunch of hot photos as we were closing up for the evening. So yes, we've been having a good time!

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

At upcoming 3 Rivers Comicon in downtown Pittsburgh on June 7-8, we'll have seven live-action Heroineburgh characters for you to meet! On Saturday, it's Stellara in her tight and shiny blue costume (shown on the right) joining Poderosa, Arctica and Peccadilla. On Sunday, you can meet the muscular and voluptuous Red Gina (shown on the left) as well as Chlorina. Come and get your photo taken with the heroines and villainesses, and pick up our comic books, stickers and collectable cards. This is our big hometown event, and we'll be out in full force!

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

We crush it in our hometown!

Here's a series of Day 1 photos from 3 Rivers Comicon featuring Arctica, Stellara, and our pinch-hitter Mesmera (Poderosa fell ill, but she will still be making her appearances in July and Aug).

Who can refuse to buy Issue 2 from the gorgeous Stellara, especially when it contains her not-so-secret origin?
IMG_8058.JPG

Mesmera takes her fight against Arctica to the emergency exit. I suppose she figures that if she can't defeat the frost queen with her mind control powers, maybe she can overwhelm her with super strength!
IMG_8073.JPG

Man-Ray is still trying to relinquish his particular brand of villainy by returning the wallet to Patrick. Perhaps he thinks that Arctica can assist him in this endeavor. Will she give him the 'cold' shoulder?

Bridget, aka queen of the frost, is the hotness with her Instagram montage - that gorgeous red hair, those lovely blue lips, that flowing white cape.
Va va voom! Please follow her respectfully on IG.

We'll be back with more action from Day 2.

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

Day 2 photos from 3 Rivers Comicon. Overall, we sold 30 comics over the 2 days, which wasn't quite as big as last year but still decent.
And the actresses did take a ton of photos with various Con attendees.

Today in the house we had Chlorina, the mistress of toxins (portrayed by Jess T) in her shiny blue costume...and Red Gina, the raging super-strong Amazon (Jess R) in her tight red bodysuit. Both did an incredible job of interacting with the crowd.

Here are Chlorina and Red Gina posing in front of the banner of the Comicsburgh collective (a group of six Pittsburgh comics publishers which includes Heroineburgh).

Red Gina showcases our comic book Issue 2, which features an entire story (including a rage-filled transformation!) where she teams up with Cybrina against a gang of human traffickers.

Then we have our "profiles in power": some sexy posing by Chlorina and Red Gina against a neutral background, which will produce some new 8x10s publicity photos for them for the coming year.

[Sorry, Red Gina doesn't wear tights in the videos. But she couldn't go bare-legged today because the air conditioning was up pretty high in the convention center.]

Finally, the Youtube clip with the two of them standing in front of our wall of character photos. Next weekend, follow us two hours east of Pittsburgh to Altoona, PA for the three-day Sci-Fi Valley Con. Arctica and Serpenta will be gracing our booth with their beauty!

Sorry, Judah, at this point Alicia doesn't travel - she'll only be making local appearances. She'll be doing a four-hour appearance on Sun Aug 17 at a conveniently located local comic shop for our annual "Comicsburgh Day" event. If you want more info about that now, I'll post it - if not, I'll post it later anyway.

But we look forward to seeing you at HeroesCon in Charlotte. Right now, as far as I know, the plan is for Vendetta to be with us. That's our fantastic curvy and buxom Dominican actress Diana, who has been very active both in four custom videos (Customs 11, 12, 13 and 18 playing Superia and alt-Arogya) as well as debuting in Episode 25 as Vendetta, the Italian spirit of vengeance in that tight and shiny red catsuit. She is super vivacious, young and talented. I think you'll enjoy meeting her!

This coming weekend, however, we'll be a bit closer to home at Sci-Fi Valley Con, June 13-15 two hours away from Pittsburgh in lovely Altoona PA (headquarters of Sheetz, Del Grosso spaghetti sauce, and Mallo Cup!). Despite the small town, this con is a well-attended mid-size Con which takes up the entire two floors of the Blair County convention center and attracts about 6000 people. The guest list is very heavy on the voice actors from anime, as you can see below, but the kids love that stuff, and we have a good time doing our own panel as well.

Appearing at our Booth A7 will be the gorgeous tall redhead Arctica (Bridget) and the petite Asian bombshell Serpenta (Jessica B). They'll be happy to take photos with fans and sign comics and 8x10s. We also have stickers, collector card sets, patches, and T-shirts, plus a full line of publications from the Comicsburgh collective.

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

First day of Sci-Fi Valley Con in Altoona PA featured a pitched battle between Arctica and Serpenta right across from our booth! Luckily that got resolved, and we sold both Heroineburgh comics and various Comicsburgh titles. See you on days 2 and 3 - Saturday especially promises to be packed with all the Twilight fans (it's a complete cast reunion).

Sci-Fi Valley Con was packed with Twilight fans on Day 2, but during a lull in the action, we did a photo shoot with Bridget - the light streaming from the window perfectly outlining her gorgeous slim figure in that tight costume. (Serpenta had to go home because she was sick.) One of the highlights for Arctica was meeting 'two members of Kiss', who were much taller than everyone at the Con due to their insane platform boots. Dedication to their craft!

Final day photos from Sci-Fi Valley Con. People who said they were going to buy comics came back and actually did!

Arctica was radiant and powerful, and brought the boys and girls to the yard. I know we're just PG-13, but Bridget is so gorgeous I just had to take a few more shots.

Wait until you see who's coming with us next weekend at Heroes Con in Charlotte!

Now it can be told: Poderosa will appear for the second year in a row in Charlotte at Heroes Con June 20-22.

Find us at the Comicsburgh tables AA45-47.

Get your comics signed and your photos taken with the most powerful superheroine from Pittsburgh! (portrayed by gorgeous Christina)

We are here safely in Charlotte tonight and ready to open our booth tomorrow at HeroesCon for our third year.

I call this photo "The Boys". I took the photo, so I'm not in it. You can call me Hughie, and assign Mother's Milk, Billy Butcher, Female of the Species, and Frenchie accordingly. But tomorrow, The Female (aka gorgeous Christina) transforms into mighty Poderosa. See you there!

Days 1 and 2 of Heroes Con in Charlotte NC.

So far, we've sold 32 comics. Poderosa signed a bunch of the comics, as well as plenty of 8x10s. She was constantly posing for photos and selfies in the Artist Alley aisle, including shots with cosplayers from Invincible (shown below). Our wonderful actress Christina is pretty much stunning everyone who meets her in that gorgeous colorful costume.

Also, we met "Judah" from right here on the Forum. Thanks so much for stopping by!

If you're in Charlotte and didn't know about our appearance yet, we're at booth AA 45-47. Sunday is still on the horizon.

[Other notable occurrences: Palmiotti and Conner signed my Starfire and Phantom Lady books.]

It was great to meet up with you and your team. Thank you for the comic and autograph. Did you get your signatures from Jimmy and Jason? Sorry I did not stop by Sunday. Got busy talking to Mike Baron, trying to convince him to attend Rhode Island Comic Con. Claremont, Thomas and Conway had those massive lines. Enjoyed talking to Tom DeFalco, he has some crazy stories. And of course the Daredevil master artist Alex Maleev himself. I couldn't believe Skottie Young and Frison had such long lines. One thing about Jimmy Palmiotti is everyone lines up for his current works but he had one of the best runs on Punisher with Joe Quesada and Mike Baron.

Heroes really is the best Con - isn't it, Judah? Of course it was great to meet you, thanks so much!

Damn, I didn't even realize Mike Baron was there, or I would have stopped by his table as well (I have his Private American and Nexus.) Surprised you didn't mention John Romita Jr. (I just got the new Amazing Spider-Man #6 from my LCS today- JRJR is drawing it!)

Yes, I got Jimmy and Amanda, Jason Keith and Billy Tucci's signatures on some books. I didn't have a lot of money to spend so I just bought Vaughn Coleman's Phenomenova #2. But I did stop by a few tables such as Per Berg (Narwhal) and Renie Strychalski. Mostly we were selling super hard all three days, and of course Christina was a major help and looked super attractive throughout.

I don't want to post the photos here of the autographs Poderosa signed (because the customers were underage) but you can find those on our social media. Here is a series of gorgeous action photos that we took in the stairwell of the Convention Center. Even though it was right near our booth, nobody used it all weekend, so it was a great location for some secluded sizzling shots!

Next on our agenda will be Red Gina and Poderosa storming into Richmond VA's Cosplay World convention July 12-13. This is the Con that Jason Keith (Marvel artist for Red Hulk) runs along with his cosplayer wife. If you're in the DC, Baltimore or Eastern VA area, you're close enough to make it there. I'll announce it in the next post in this thread.

And now for some Poderosa action!

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

Hey there,

I just wanted to say that what you're doing is really impressive.

Living in Europe, conventions became popular much later than in America. To my regret, I have never attended any here. These events hold a sort of sacred aura for me, one that I do not wish to tarnish by attending a lesser version. I would prefer to experience the real s@#t, crafted by the OGs, rather than a diluted imitation.

Seeing your updates about your work has me a bit jealous, to be honest. You sell comics and manage to get your SHIP models involved in public appearances. That alone says a lot about the type of person you are behind the scenes.

I don't usually comment on your stuff since I'm your official sock-puppet, :hq: but I just had to express how cool it is that you're able to do what you do.

I wish I could attend one of the conventions where you set up your booth to meet the models and hopefully you in person.

I can't even begin to imagine how much effort goes into preparing for these events. Hats off to you for that and for keeping the forum alive with your posts.

We might not share the same views on everything, but your body of work truly fosters respect, and I just wanted to express that so it doesn't go unsaid.

Hail to you, sir, and I hope to see you at one of those conventions someday.

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

Thanks, Malice (aka my doppelganger), much appreciated!

Next up for Heroineburgh will be our debut at Cosplay World Con in Richmond VA on July 12-13. Meet the mighty Poderosa and the raging Red Gina and get autographed comics, photos and stickers. Don't forget to take a photo with them.

This isn't just some random cosplay event we jumped on. We were invited as guests by the showrunner, Jason Keith. He's a prominent Marvel artist who has worked on Red Hulk and other books. We actually finally met him in person last weekend at Heroes Con, too.

Why does a Marvel artist put on a Cosplay Con, you might ask? Well, among other reasons, his wife Janine is a well-known cosplayer with 11K followers (you can find her at @j9lives on Instagram). And yes, there will be plenty of other activities at the Con (including vendors) other than cosplay, but think about it - it's an event where there will literally be hundreds of women in colorful spandex costumes.

If you are a fan of big cosplay names, Snarky Jay will also be there.

So as long as you're respectful to everyone, of course, we would love to meet you, and if you're anywhere in the Eastern VA area or near DC or Baltimore, it's only a short drive.

We'll see you there at the Convention Center!

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

Peril - thy name is Rhino!

Danger struck at Richmond's Cosplay World when the imposing and impervious villain interrupted a posing session by Red Gina and Poderosa in front of the step-and-repeat.

Threatening the intrepid Poderosa, the Rhino pressed Poderosa down to the convention floor, causing her to quiver in fear in her shiny tights and bright red cape!

Meanwhile, where was Red Gina? Getting a copy of Heroineburgh Comics issue 2 (in which both heroines appear) to our newest super-fan, Chris.
Finally averting the crisis by bravely defeating the villain with her incredible tenacity and strength, Poderosa joined the crimson amazon for a photo opportunity with their latest admirer!

Then, of course, they went back to looking gorgeous, finding another step-and-repeat where they could show off their muscles. These two love to strut their stuff!

We did well on Day 1, selling 26 comics and a bunch of other Comicsburgh titles.

Looking forward to Day 2 in Richmond.

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

The second day of Cosplay World didn't produce many sales (just three more books sold) because the attendance dropped off, but we still had a fantastic time.

Right before the doors opened, Red Gina set up a makeshift Heroineburgh Hair Salon, restyling Poderosa's "big 80s hair" into two massive cute ponytails using chrome-colored clips. Poderosa's gorgeous plunging neckline shows up well in this shot!

I know it looks like Superman is getting down on one knee and proposing to Poderosa: "Forget Lois Lane! Rosa, you are the one for me - smart, powerful and very sexy in that costume...not to mention a star reporter for Channel 16!"

And that would be very romantic if a crossover story could take place between DC Comics and Heroineburgh. But actually, this Superman cosplay was just comparing shiny red boots with his Pittsburgh Universe counterpart. He was a very nice guy!

During a little bit of downtime near the end of Sunday, Jess and Christina decided to participate in the battle action at the video games area,
playing a game of Streetfighter. Poderosa won!

Also during the middle of the day, Red Gina and Poderosa made an appearance on stage, hosted by the MC who was one of the star cosplayers
at the Con.

Two-minute Youtube clip of the brief Heroineburgh stage presentation. We were the only "original characters" at Cosplay World so we got our own special feature.

Before we get to more summer Comicons, here's a little photo montage from Cosplay World last weekend.
Christina (Poderosa) took a bunch of great photos with her cellphone, and she just sent them over.

Poderosa took some shots with the Richmond Ghostbusters crew. She looks very attractive on that Ecto Bike!

Then she guided Godzilla as he lumbered through the aisles of the Con. It's a pretty amazing costume construction!

Finally, after Poderosa and Red Gina transformed back into their civilian guises, we went on the legendary Richmond canal boat ride.
These gorgeous ladies turn heads wherever they go, but even superheroines gotta find time to chill!

We made a bunch of new fans. One of them was Pierce, who purchased a copy of Heroineburgh Comics issue 2 and got it signed by Poderosa!

Another one was Warren. He was a fan of the stickers and bought two copies of the one where Poderosa punches out Devorra the Queen Bee.
She signed them for him!

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

After Ohio, Heroineburgh returns to central PA in State College for the revived Nittany Con at the Ramada on Sat Aug 9.

We'll be spreading villainy from the Steel City as super-criminals Industria (starring in EP25) and Stellara (upcoming EP26) sign comics and photos and pose for social media shots with the crowd.

Beware the attraction of evil!

Re: 2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

Photos from today's Nittany Con in State College PA, featuring Stellara and Industria, plus guest appearance by Poison Ivy (cosplayer Autumn Kira).

It's a smaller event but we did amazingly well: not only selling 20 books, and lots of photos taken with the ladies, but also two superfans bought
the thumb drives with our entire episode library (1-25). We only offer those at Comicons!

Also, Stellara (Kat) started her own Instagram fan page @stellarakat . If you follow @heroineburgh412 on Instagram, now you can also follow her separately. The idea is for this sexy and powerful villainess to build a social media following in real life, the same way she does on the show by posting her defeats of the superheroines. The actress thought of this idea herself. Here she is, taking a selfie for the 'Gram, and offering a gorgeous view from the back!

You know when two supervillainesses meet for the first time, they have to battle. Here, they're even matched in their super strength, so the question is whether Industria's electric shocks or Stellara's solar blasts will win the fight. Turns out they reconciled pretty quickly, and then posed for a sexy teamup shot!

The evil duo turned into a villainous trio when Poison Ivy joined in their nefarious plans. Cosplayer Autumn Kira also bought a comic!

The criminal minds of Stellara and Industria continued to scheme about making an extra few bucks at the Con. So, they blockaded the entrance and charged the nerds a shakedown fee to enter the event. Or, was it more of a simp fee? Hard to tell.

Our next event is Sun Aug 17 at the Phantom of the Attic comic shop in Oakland, part of the third annual Comicsburgh Day. As of now, three characters are scheduled to be there, and we'll announce who they are very soon!

Today's Comicsburgh Day at our local comic shop featured appearances by Savanna the feline fury and Mesmera the mistress of hypnotism.
Also at the booth was our cover artist, Jason Wright.

Savanna displays her lovely likeness on the cover of Heroineburgh Comics Issue 2, while Mesmera gloats over her evil exploits in Issue 4.

Post from Eddie P Con 2025 in West Mifflin PA.

Gorgeous redhead Arctica made an appearance during Day 1 of Eddie P Con. She signed stickers, comics and photos for all customers, and taped a promo clip for Youtube.

There were no cosplayers (at least not on Day 1) so she stood out in her tight silver costume and looked quite majestic and powerful as she strode down the aisles, her white cape flowing behind her. It was impossible not to notice!
