2025 Comicon season: Heroineburgh

The superheroine Vigilanta, scourge of the Steel City streets, will appear at Local Comic Shop Day at New Dimension Waterfront (Homestead PA) on Sat Sep 27, 1-6 pm. Secretly Captain Margaret "Peggy" Myers of the Pittsburgh police force, by day she serves as a 'liaison' with the Heroine League. But when danger threatens and the law isn't quite enough, she activates her form-fitting high-tech costume, which grants her a wide range of cool powers. Get her special sticker and photo, and she'll sign your comic book!

Vigilanta (actress Elizabeth) made an appearance at New Dimension Comics today for Local Comic Shop Day. We did pretty well, selling 13 comics in 4 hours, alongside our buddies in the Comicsburgh crew who also had good sales for their books, as well.

By day, she's the mild-mannered but hard-working police detective Captain Margaret "Peggy" Moyers, running the heroine liaison office for the city of Pittsburgh, but when the law fails, she presses the button on her bracelet and becomes a busty, sexy crusader of the night, granted super strength and the ability to absorb and emit energy. Her tight tricolor costume makes her feel very attractive, while her mask and hood conceal her identity from the cameras.

On her time off, Peggy loves to transform into Vigilanta just to greet her fans, signing 8x10 glossies, stickers and comic books. There's always time for good public relations!

We're doing another indie book festival! The super sexy Savanna the Feline Fury will slink in silently like a cat to sign autographs and take photos along with the Comicsburgh crew. The event takes place this Sun Oct 12 12:30-6 pm at the long-running City of Asylum bookstore and jazz venue on the North Side of Pittsburgh. If you're around, we'd love to meet you there!

Some shots from the Indie Lit Fest we tabled at today alongside our Comicsburgh partners.
Savanna the Feline Fury (played by Jasmine) was there signing comics and stickers.
A lot of attendees, and some of the employees of the venues, complimented her on how stunningly beautiful she looked.

We'll be at Bellscon with bells on!

Celebrating 30 years of Bell's Comics & Cards with appearances from Cybrina on Fri 10/17 4-10 pm and Savanna on Sat 10/18 10 am -5 pm alongside the Comicsburgh crew. It all goes down at the Pine Township Social Hall right outside Grove City, PA.

Just a small hop, skip and jump from the Burgh!

The Savanna actress had a death in her family, and when we tried to bring Poderosa at the last minute, that didn't work, either.

So we just spent one day out at Bellscon in Grove City with actress Heather, who plays Cybrina, the queen of cyberspace.
She showed off her new 8x10 photos, her star appearance on the cover of Heroineburgh Comics issue 4, and her knockout scene
in upcoming Episode 26 where the traitorous villainess Indarra places her boot on Cybrina's helpless squirming body (it's on the screen!).

Good times! We're off to Akron Comicon on Nov 8-9.

We're looking forward to Akron Comicon where you can meet the stunning and combat-ready Devana the Serbian Huntress (lovely actress Casey) in her leather outfit and her brown tights and boots. Her adventures are in Heroineburgh Comics issues 2 and 3 as well as in our live-action episodes, and she'll gladly sign books, stickers and 8x10 photos - even her special collectors card! Don't miss the Comicsburgh crew in Akron OH on Nov 8-9.

Devana the Slavic Huntress (portrayed by Casey) was absolutely brilliant today at Akron Comicon: stunningly beautiful, warm and friendly, and given to protracted displays of muscular strength and combat skill.

We added a new leather corset to her costume, as well as a brown fur stole which gave her more of a primal shamanistic feel, as befits a goddess of the hunt.

On the first day of Akron, we sold 16 comics, and she signed them all, as well as stickers and 8x10 photos. She was also constantly requested to pose for photos with cosplayers, and we captured a couple of them here.

One more day left to say "Dobar dan" (the traditional Serbian greeting) to the lovely Devana!

On Day 2 of Akron Comicon, Devana fulfilled a lifelong dream in meeting Miss Frizzle from Magic School Bus and her pet iguana Liz.
And she signed an 8x10 to give to Watchtower Heroes Comics in Columbiana OH, which now carries Heroineburgh Comics issues 1 thru 4 along with the other Comicsburgh titles. Next, we're off to Scribble Fest with Arctica!

The breathtaking superheroine Arctica, queen of the frost, will be with Heroineburgh at the Comicsburgh booth at Scribble House Lit Fest, a gathering of local publishers this Sun Nov 16 at Spirit Hall in Lawrenceville (Pittsburgh, PA).

Here's a chance to meet her and pose for a photo while picking up some of our comics.

And please note: Arctica will be debuting her brand-new silver catsuit at this event, plus a very fancy new version of her majestic cape (the old catsuit and cape are in the photo).

The gorgeous redheaded Arctica made an appearance at Scribble Fest today, debuting her shiny new silver suit, and signing comics and 8x10 photos for new fans. We sold a dozen comics, and I appeared on a panel about literary editors.

Right at the end, we also did a sexy photo shoot near the entrance, with many of the attendees just floored by her stunning beauty and cheering her on as she struck pose after pose in that tight costume.

That's exactly the effect we wanted to have, and we are so lucky to have talented actress Bridget playing this role for the past few years!

Well, Don Draws Stuff (true to its name) turned out to be an active draw stream which lasted three hours. Arctica received some excellent questions, both from the panel and the chat. And the artists on the stream did FIVE on-the-spot drawings of Arctica! Here they are. One of these will probably appear in issue 5!
