So, I think we should ask this question. There are tons of Fetish Porn currently dipping into AI (Just go to Deviant Art and check them out). So say if a producer made a SHIP flick with AI, would you watch it? And why?
I will list some Pros and Cons for this, and feel free to discuss the issue
Pros:
Readily Avaible
You can literally do ANYTHING with it. AI won't say no
Cheaper to Producer, usually means more content
Producer won't go broke if they don't sell
Cons
Not real people
Fake
Possibly Spamming
I probably will watch it, but bear in mind most mainstream already said no to AI (If you had not heard of Tilly Norwood, check that out) and I am pretty sure there are going to be strong pushback from mainstream (because that's pushing toward the pocket of directors and actors) But I don't see anything from the porn industry or fetish industry pushing back, so I wonder if this is a taboo or a god send for them?

As someone who has made lots of damsel in distress and some super-heroine content for over 25 years, as well as a full AI live action commercial superheroine vid, I'm ok with it. I don't think it means the death of the real for the AI. Much like practical effects vs CGI or digital vs analog, you're going to have fans who want the real. I can say that the cost of making an AI video, at least for me, was very economical, but the time involved was considerable. I spent nearly 3 month, on and off, doing a 12 minute video, having to use a dozen different engines. You can always throw some prompts at the AI and it will spit something out, but if you want to actually create a movie, that takes work. Critics like to say there are no AI artists, but I disagree (and I'm someone who has actually been paid to write and draw long before AI was a thing). An actual AI artist is like a director of a movie or the conductor of an orchestra. They don't say the lines or play the instruments, but they guide the creation that makes their vision a reality.
That is how I see AI art and movies. There is a lot of "slop" (a word that already needs to be retired from overuse), but there are also people making really good stuff. I look forward to seeing what artists (AI and traditional) do with the technology.

This could be an area where AI does not present the problems that it has in other areas
Namely the bias of the programmer.
AI for business and resume reviews is a disaster

Well, the only thing that came close to me directing is when I tried to make a game movie by using Grand Theft Auto V's Rockstar Editor. And that was years ago, and I will agree that people who direct AI are still directing something, but just the interpretation is different. In real life, you tell the actor/actress where to move and what to say; in AI, you program the character. It will still need creativity. And I guess this is probably one of the reasons why Fetish producer don't see this as necessarily a bad things for them because they still need to put in the work, and you generally don't have a bunch of cast and crew for it, they may had a different say if you are the sound guy or gaffer, which can be replaced by programming.
On the other hand, that didn't change the fact that advanced AI can replace real-life porn performers, I mean, when we come down to it, porn or fetish is a kind of visual simulation, so if you make it real enough, I don't see how AI can't replace actual humans having sex, we probably won't know the different anyway, so it's kind of interesting to know from a performer perspective.

Re: AI SHIP Content Yay or Nay
I do agree that some people will take their porn (or anything really) whether or not it's real or AI generated, but I think a lot of people will be "real purists." Even if it's convincing. AI is pretty damn good, but it's far from perfect. It has a lot of very practical limitations. I'm sure they will be resolved, but some of them are quite tricky and there is the added limitation that very few allow anything more than a PG rated prompt (and even sometimes that's pushing it). Unless you can find one of the few that has easier restrictions, you can't really make porn. They exist, but the big AI companies don't and I don't see them being very useful for any kind of serious movies unless some kind of special license is given to a studio or creator to use their engine for PG or R rated material. And then you open another can of worms. Will the studio be required to show the final movie to the AI company for approval? It's another censor board in the making. That said, I'm going to shamelessly plug my own AI video. If you're inclined, you can see the trailer at the link below to get an idea what the end result was.spikeeagle2 wrote: ↑8 months agoInteresting producer point of view....thelaughinggaszone wrote: ↑8 months agoAs someone who has made lots of damsel in distress and some super-heroine content for over 25 years, as well as a full AI live action commercial superheroine vid, I'm ok with it. Re: AI SHIP Content Yay or Nay
I think there will be people that make real "AI art" movies. I also think there will be ways around restrictions. If you go to DA, there are plenty of people already making fetishy content that is getting past the filters. Where their is money, there is a way. Weirdly, the big driver of technology has always been porn. The very first nickelodeons weren't showing nature documentaries, they were showing women pulling up their skirts. Home videos became the norm because people could watch porn at home. The first big expansions of the internet were about porn. Taylor Swift porn was one of the first AI image scandal. You may see some issues over likeness ownership and copyrighted characters, but AI fetish material is on it's way. It is just a matter of time until someone figures out a business model that makes money.

Re: AI SHIP Content Yay or Nay
My own experience with making short movies with AI has been hit and miss. I've also found that the most realistic AI models that produce the best images are heavily censored. I tried a few "uncensored" generators but the quality was horrible and mostly spit out random imagery that's not even close to the prompts. So I don't see AI porn getting much further than it is right now. With the censorship as oppressive as it is, it's very difficult to create anything worth watching.
I just cancelled my subscription to Hailuo AI because it takes over 30 wasted generations just to get 1 that adheres to my prompt. So the bulk of the money spent is wasted just to get a few quality 10 sec clips that actually follows the prompts. Then there's the distortion issues where faces are heavily distorted or even missing completely. I create my own scenes with live characters mixed with generated ones and I use 4K images at 300dpi so there should not be any distortion at all.
What I find most disturbing is extreme violence and even snuff can get past the filters long enough for you to download them but anything that even alludes to anything sexual is blocked from generating. What a mixed up ass-backwards world we live in where sex is prohibited but extreme violence is okay.

I think it is getting closer really fast. I saw this one today, and it was pretty amazing. I would definitely watch this if it came on TV. I think the problem is matching the current technology with the right property. The limits the technology is they can make fantastic models of real and imaginary people, but getting them to "act" is going to be much harder. The Wacky Races has really little character interactions, which is probably why this short works so well.

Re: AI SHIP Content Yay or Nay
Yeah, it's great for PG stuff, but most of the platforms filter out bondage, perilous situations and anything that even alludes to sexual content. They filter out all the stuff that makes for a good SHIP/SHIB video. Try adding "A curvaceous Penelope Pitstop pauses to wipe the sweat from her ample breasts but is grabbed from behind by Dick Dastardly and placed in handcuffs." to the prompt and it will return a 'failure to meet the community guidelines' error or it will generated something that completely ignores the prompt.sneakly wrote: ↑8 months agoI think it is getting closer really fast. If there is money to be made, it will be available. Poser was not made to make adult content, but there are plenty of people making explicit content with it and similar programs.HiDef wrote: ↑8 months agoYeah, it's great for PG stuff, but most of the platforms filter out bondage, perilous situations and anything that even alludes to sexual content.
